Please please please change back to the original sag paneer recipe it was creamy, sweet and absolutely delicious. I came back here just for that only to be told that the new manager wanted the chef to change the recipe which just tasted like wet spinach with cheese cubes. I can honestly say to the new manager if you are reading this you have made a terrible decision. Other than this the staff are fantastic and the rest of the food was nice but to anyone who wants a good sag paneer don’t go here unless of course they change it back

Thought would try this Indian for a change from usual restaurant big mistake Food ok Drinks very limited advertised various Gins but had no tonic 🙄 Slow service but not down to a packed restaurant has only 8 people including us 4 No after meal drink like other Indian restaurants but probably as they had limited drinks 😂😂 Was ill all day next day Will not be returning

Ordered via Uber Eats. Small portions. Not very spicy, pretty much bland. Not much more to add really. Delivery was slow.

I had lamb chops, sizzling butter, chicken king, prawn curry kaon. It was unbelievable I would well recommend this curry shop unbelievable please try it well recommended my family enjoyed every bit. The butter chicken is very very nice. The garlic mushroom rice is very nice everything 100%

Brilliant traditional Indian meal Christmas day with friends and family and repeat visit for new years eve. Food was excellent and staff friendly and welcoming as ever.

Third visit over the past few months. Food good as ever and staff welcoming .Meal for two with drinks just under £60 visit you will not be disappointed

Been using Bombay Spice Lounge for a couple of months now and have to say food is excellent. However delivery has been getting worse and worse. They never hit the quoted delivery time. At the time of writing we have been waiting an hour and forty five minutes for a quoted hour delivery time. Can’t get hold of restaurant on the phone and don’t know if food is coming or not. Will soon be going to bed hungry!

The new owners have redecorated the restaurant, previous visitors to the restaurant when it was the guru may recall that the ambience was like a blast from the 1980's the food was great and it still is excellent. The restaurant now features a wall with beautiful hand painted art work , new lighting new tables and chairs and beautiful new cutlery and crockery, it's very attractive and combines a traditional Indian dining experience with a contemporary edge. The restaurant does a tremendous take away trade, but more people need to eat in they are missing out on a real pleasure. Food is excellent, portion size is generous and the front of house staff very welcoming. We've now visited numerous times and it remains our favourite Indian restaurant in hemel, given the numerous other very good alternatives the staff should congratulate themselves on being the best.

Use to be a regular at the Guru, where we always had great meals. Saw this was reopened and have to agree the food we had was excellent, service was good, food was great and the big question is would we return? Yes we would with all in our group enjoying their choices.

We've now visited the restaurant several times and recommended to friends and family. An important factor with a favourite restaurant is consistency and the spice lounge has been consistently excellent, tasty and well presented dishes and a very friendly welcome again and again. Exactly what you want. In a local restaurant.

We used to come here from time to time when it was the Guru, and thought we best give Bombay Spice Lounge a go. There has been some modernisation, new carpet and seat coverings, and the staff were very pleasant. The starters were all fine, Sheek Kebab/Prawn Puri etc all very nice, but the main courses were a letdown. Three of our party chose Roshuni Modhu which sounded really nice, but was served on the dinner plate (ie not in a bowl for the diner to choose how much meat or sauce they wanted) which looked like sweet and sour chicken from the chinese? It was sweet, but then it did have honey in it so it was going to be, the way it was served was the issue. I opted for the Sizzling Tawa, this was served in a bowl, but was really a bit bland. As the title suggests, disappointed, as I really wanted this to be good!

The food is so fresh here and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The whole experience of the Bombay spice lounge is fantastic. The owners are really attentive and always make us feel special. Sometimes we come with our children and they love it also. I would highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Well done to you all too thanks for always making us very welcome. after seeing a banner on the front of the restaurant claiming 50% off for dine in customers. I thought i'd give it a try. however when the bill came it was clear that they had inflated it to more the double than what it normally is. not only that they were claiming that that was after a 50% discount. also They claimed the discount does not include drinks. okay if that's the case then say so your banner and signs on window! likewise with coffee & deserts etc normally bill comes to around ££110 to £125 bill came to £140 with 50% off. no by that logic they are claiming that the bill was £280 before discount!! four 4 adults and a child! I paid and then on leaving, pulled the manager to one side to point out to him about how his 'deal! was false represented' "not my problem if you can't afford it he said" also on a minor point the gave me the wrong main dish. 5

We were a group of 5 friends who dined here for a catch up and good food. We weren’t disappointed, the food was amazing and service was absolutely perfect. We look forward to returning for more of the same

Was on a road trip going up north from london felt peckish. Decided to find a local Indian restaurant. Best decision, been wo various indian restaurants but this place is one of the best indian restaurant ive been too many indian styled food places but this one place is top notch! Will recommend anyone who loves a nice curry to go there! Staff amazing, service was lovely too.

We went in as a family and had some delicious curry, with the best service. We were treated kindly by the staff and and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend this incredible restaurant, you would be amazed of the taste of the food. 👍
