The best restaurants serving Greek food in North East

Went here tonight with my brother for the first time. Staff were really friendly and helpful when we arrived. The atmosphere was very nice inside with ambient lighting and nice background music. We ordered the sharing platter and it was so tasty! Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned and the portion was massive. The salad accompanied it well also. Dessert was amazing too! So tasty and fresh. Already planning on going back again

Wrong hours , if you go at 20:00 will invite you to leave !

There was a party of 15 of us on a Sunday afternoon for a family birthday get together. Firstly the staff … they were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. We all had different food … some had Greek, some Italian and some roast dinners - every single piece of food was delicious. The only thing that let it down was the dessert selection both in choice and price but I’m sure when it’s rebranded etc they will address desserts.

Newcastle classic, been great year after year

I had the risotto Verde, which was nice. The music was too intrusive, which resulted in a poor atmosphere. Ambiance is as important as food. If I return to Redcar I want be seeking out Armondo's.

Si aún no has probado este lugar, ¿a qué esperas? La comida es fabulosa (Chicken Gyros) El propietario y chef (Adrian) es tan acogedor y generoso, la atención al detalle es excelente. Este lugar necesita su apoyo o perderemos un pedacito de Grecia en nuestro propio centro de la ciudad.

Had a fab meal here ,was recommended by a friend who lives nearby and as we were using her caravan just up the road decided to give it a try. Having been back from kos only 2 weeks I can say the food was better than some I had while there. Will definitely be back next year when we visit .

Tasty Greek food and friendly service. Definitely recommend the prawns and monkfish. Friends really enjoyed the stifado. We will definitely be returning

Este restaurante... Íbamos allí con mi padre adoptivo *BennyShack* por un tiempo. . . . . Come como un caballo y sin embargo es tan delgado como un rastrillo... (El hombre capital lo siento El hombre de la ciudad capital) No fueron las serpientes las que nos interrumpieron, sino un valiente gerente de * El Ángel * mientras que todos los clientes fueron a * Turnins * solo para dar grandes comentarios a * Roka * con increíble / luz y decoratins - soluciones /. Vale la pena mirar de nuevo hacia Newcastle City como COTINGHAM está ligeramente sobrevalorado especialmente si No está en el tuyo pero Casi En tu Irlandés y Turco listas temporales de vecinos. No tenemos Restaurantes CHIPRIOTAS decentes nosotros (kibris uno . . . eah) ?

Went here as we had passed it earlier in the day, the restaurant looked like and american diner, with leather looking booths and there was no greek familiarity with it at all, I could have been walking into any restaurant, didn't ask if we wanted a drink whilst looking at the menu, waitress came and took our order, very pleasant, I ordered a starter and then we ordered a main course each, we waited a while even though there where only another table of 4 in, but we are both happy to wait as we feel it's cooked from fresh, my starter turned up with my main course plus my partners main course, who would want this all together, I asked the waitress to return our main courses to the warmer, her answer was I assumed you wanted them all at once because my partner didn't have a starter (he never has a starter as he prefers pudding), when I finally got my main course which was beef stifado, the salad had gone warm and the watery juice ftom the beef stifado was all in the lettuce, the beef stifado itself was the worst I have ever eaten, it was bland, the juice was watery and it tasted of nothing much, would never eat here again.

Si te gusta la comida india este es el mejor en Durham. Tenía la carne Thali que si nunca la has comido es fantástica. Son 4 currys pequeños Madras de pollo Lamb bhuna Pollo balti Pollo tikka masala Más una pequeña porción de pollo tikka Arroz Naan Absolutamente mejor comida

Have to say this place is the dogs danglies. Had it 3 times now and every time has been as good if not better than the last. Dupiaza, Madras, Mossala, Shashlik, Balti, Rogan Josh, Biryani, all as good as you'll get. I'll be travelling from Billingham every time. This has beaten: Dilshad Vadah Jolsha Le Rajj Bombay Chilli Shalimar Seaton Tandoori Billingham Balti Bengal Tiger Probably a heap more that I've not thought about, but all irrelevant now. This is top spec gear. Keep it up guys, foods immaculate.

The food was delicious, but they automatically added a 20% service charge, which was especially unwelcome seeing as there was very little service involved - you pay at the counter, and go back to pick up your order when it's ready.

I had a delivery unfortunately topping all sloppy on my bolognese pizza making it not nice. Cut unevenly. Ordered a Greek salad too not much of it and mostly all tomatoes. Usually can't knock the quality usually amazing. Our family have been going since 2015. Not been able to past few months.Thankyou for Amici for rectifying my order.🙂🙏✨️
