Tasty Greek food and friendly service. Definitely recommend the prawns and monkfish. Friends really enjoyed the stifado. We will definitely be returning

Been wanting to try here for ages and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely authentic feel to the restaurant, and a very friendly helpful waitress. I have a gluten intolerance, and eating out can be difficult, but the waitress was really helpful and discussed with the chef to establish what I could have - which was pretty much anything on the menu. I ordered the chicken sizzler and my partner had the chicken souvlaki. Portion sizes were a good size. BUT the taste and quality of the food was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to go back. Value for money was very good.

Right Morpeth, you appear to be missing a trick. It’s Friday night in Yasu and it’s ridiculously quiet. It’s the beginning of March in Northumberland and yet I am transported to the shores of a baking Aegean in high summer. Fresh, lovingly created food and service to match. Get down here.

Absolutely delicious authentic Greek cuisine. Generous portions. Lovely friendly service. This place should be packed every night. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing meal at Yasu. I ordered the chicken Souvlaki which is just beautifully cooked and so flavourful. Portion sizes are very generous and the atmosphere is really lovely. Have already been back to get this dish as a takeaway and will be doing so again!

Tried the Kampama for the first time on Saturday night and think I have found my new favourite dish! Very warming and extremely tasty- already looking forward to my next meal at Yasu. Love this restaurant- great selection of dishes, great service, love this place! Highly recommend 😊

Delicious and freshly prepared food, with generous portions and good service. Small friendly restaurant, Greek music but not noisy. You can have a conversation. Service good too.

What a find this restaurant is - our friend who lives in Morpeth took us out for dinner. Only to find the restaurant we were going to had made an error in the booking. So, tho she had not eaten here before. We looked at the menu and decided it was well worth a try. The food was excellent, really good quality and the portion sizes very generous. The chef here knows what he’s doing when it comes to flavours. I really can’t compliment the place enough.

A superb restaurant directly opposite the old clock tower in Morpeth, Yasu offers wonderful Greek cuisine and contemporary dishes in an intimate setting. This restaurant has been our favourite place to eat in Morpeth for many years, and the new owners have more than maintained its great reputation for superb food and excellent service. Thoroughly recommended.

Second visit and took photos this time. Prawn and garlic starter for me with Mrs S having Calamari which were the size of a giant squid but so tender and succulent. I had the sea bass again and Mrs S had fillet steak with Metaxa sauce, perfectly cooked and like putting a knife through warm butter.

Great meal at Yasu last night. Huge portions, and quality is superb. Highlights were the Prawn starter (like mini lobsters) and the Sea Bass off the special menu which would normally be one fillet in most restaurants but there was two with a beautiful herb crumb on top. Cath served us and was a star, fully understands the art of hospitality. Well done to all, we will be back!

Fabulous food. Great place, great ambience, great service. I would recommend this restaurant to family, friends and anyone visiting Morpeth.

We visited this Greek restaurant with great expectations. However we were extremely disappointed, the Pork Afelia was tough, the vegetables were undercooked with only the potatoes being the saving grace. We lived in Greece for several years and hoped this restaurant would meet the high standards of the country which it did not. We did complain at the end of the meal which on reflection we should have sent back, it was explained to us that perhaps the butcher had sent meat not up to standard and we did receive an apology. Hopefully this was an off night in the kitchen and it was a one off.

Food and service were excellent. The food was excellent. The kleftiko was fantastic. Delighted to have gone. Desert was nice too.

Was given a gift voucher for Christmas and this was the first opportunity me and my wife had to use it. Got to say our food was amazing and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who love Greek food. Food, staff, service fantastic.

Very tasty food cooked to perfection. We were a group of 4 and we all loved our meal. No soggy vegetables here, green beans, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower beautifully cooked and everything well presented. Will definitely be back.
