Lovely restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and ambience. Myself and partner make the 100 mile round trip to come here for the Sunday dinners when we fancy a really nice quality meal.

Only open Wednesday to Sunday but really liked the place with friendly staff and ok price's.

The food was all hot fresh and delicious and our waiter was an absolute star.....such a friendly lovely person.

Luckily, we walked far enough up the main street to find this lovely place. Excellent food and very friendly staff.

We both had the pie and it was tremendous! As was the stick Todfee pudding. Only complaint was that we couldn’t eat them I. The garden on such a nice day. Staff were excellent!

Last minute decision and luckily there was one table left for dinner. It is a nicely designed casual restaurant with a rustic feel, wooden floors, industrial lighting and exposed trunking. The food was really good and there was a nice atmosphere. The service was a little slow at times, but it was pretty busy. Nice menu, good variety and probably £50 a head with 3 courses & a drink.

Pork belly bites were amazing The muscles and steak were incredible Best espresso martini we have ever had And the deserts were magnificent Worth every penny definitely recommend

Just didn’t get any service, wobbly table fixed for us to leave, table awash with water all night, had to go to the bar to ask to move away from air con. Wellington, couldn’t taste any leek- more like a mushroom pasty. Cauliflower starter , expensive for some stalk- we’ve been twice before but I’d put this as ‘not great’. We’ll try again I’m sure

A friend treated me to a three course lunch with a bonus cocktail here. Food was tasty and portions were generous. Attention to detail is to be acknowledged.

Booked a meal here for 7 of us for our last night in Northumberland and were very happy with our choice. The food was really delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. A few of us had the duck as previous reviews recommended it and we were not disappointed it was lovely. Service was attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would recommend to anyone visiting Alnwick or staying nearby. Book in advance!

Unusual to have such a great selection for non-alcoholic cocktails. Really helped make the night. Recommend the Bone Marrow Burger and, although we didn't have it, the pie looked amazing. We have an allergy and the care taken to make sure this wasn't a problem was really appreciated too. Will definitely be coming back.

The best Sunday roast and Really friendly staff. We’re not local but had been to visit the castle, so glad we came here for a Sunday roast, it didn’t disappoint, probably the roast we’ve had. Would come back again next time we’re in the area.

Amazing gluten free options! Phenomenal presentation and the best meal of our holidays! Had some pork belly bites, the duck (unreal!!) and had glazed strawberries for dessert. Yum!! Oh and The cocktail that I can only explain as a mix between a pina colada and mojito was so nice! Gutted they ran out of coconut water so I couldn’t have more than 1…

We had some oyster, 3 starter, and 2 main courses. Everything was really good, the waiter and the floor manager were super nice, answer literally every single question we asked (and we asked loads because we are chefs too). The atmosphere was lovely, quite romantic too. Me and my boyfriend had our anniversary dinner there and honestly was amazing.

This is the best place in Alnwick for a relaxing drink in a sheltered sunny garden area, especially if you enjoy delicious cocktails!

The vegan meal was fabulous. My husband is vegan and he said it was the best he’s had for a long time. We regularly go to Newcastle and never find anything as nice. Maybe one more vegan or veg option would be nice instead of the burger. We will definitely be back , I enjoyed the tasting menu a few weeks ago too. Thanks for a fabulous evening

Had a meal early 5pm, when meals are available, drinks from 4pm. Good food served by friendly helpful staff. Second visit this week, both times enjoyable.

Wow, what a perfect Sunday lunch, Staff are very attentive and pleasant yet not intrusive, my pork belly was a good size and absolutely delicious, my wife had the beef which can be a gamble as she's fussy about "chewie bits" but she was delighted with it and polished the lot, even Islay got a really good dog chew to join the party, heavenly recommend and I'd also say under priced.

We stumbled upon this place on holiday last year and it didn’t disappoint on our return this year. Sunday lunch was absolutely lovely, and a lovely, relaxed vibe. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

Everything came with a bucket of salt- lamb was nothing like described on the menu, no purple sprouting broccoli appeared, small portions- the burger was like Rustlers cheap and nasty tasting, we hadn't eaten all day in anticipation of a great meal but we're bitterly disappointed- would not recommend.

We visit Alnwick frequently and Adam and Eve is always a must go place for dinner and Sunday lunch. Hopefully it will become the must go for you!

It was a lovely meal - lots of vegan options too. Centrally located. Friendly efficient wait staff. We took advantage of their lunch deal. 2 or 3 courses, £16 or £23. More than enough food. Outstanding choices ? The starters, the Pork Belly Bites - just outstanding. Flavorful and spicy, cooked to perfection. The apea & Mint soup was also a hit. We ordered both the beef and vegy burgers. They were perfect and the crispy fries that came with were absolutely to die for. Then the desserts to follow were the perfect way to end an outstanding meal. I loved the sticky toffee pudding and my daughter's Chocolate Delice delivered quite nicely on her chocolate fix.

Trout starter was gorgeous. Husband had the mushroom Wellington and I had the moules. Both were very tasty!

Friday evening and the place was buzzing. Definitely advise to book in advance. Small bar area for cocktails/drinks etc. Stylish decor and lighting but nothing too fussy. Service with a smile, which can be so rare these days! We had a couple of nibbles then main course: Confit duck leg, Hake, Truffle Parmesan fries 😋 and heritage carrots. All very good. I had chocolate delice for dessert which was very good; a very firm ganache rather than a delice I would say. We spent £130 (not incl. service) for two of us but that also included two excellent cocktails and a couple of glasses of wine. Would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. 👍🏼😀

Highly recommended especially for stress free dining if gluten intolerant. Great menu of freshly processed dishes, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Dogs welcome too!

Great service. Lovely environment. Patchy food. Starter (smoked trout) was excellent. Main mushroom Wellington was quite good. Mussels were poor. Starter size portion, with far more cream than you would expect, chips were served in a small mug (about 10 chips). Bread was dry, even after replacement. It's okay, but not worth the money, and quality is inconsistent.

Went for Mother’s Day after just having a look on Google maps for some options in Alnwick. Really impressed overall with a couple of standout features: 2 vegetarians in our group of 4; the veggie Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve had, the wellington amazing - nice work to the kitchen team. Also a note: first place I’ve seen lucky saint on tap, definitely a huge positive considering the usual poor low alcohol offerings in bars, it’s appreciated especially as a lot of people are just visiting Alnwick and driving back to wherever. Wait staff attentive and friendly, decor and ambience pretty cool also. Would recommend

Took my partner here for her birthday and thankfully was not disappointed. The young girl serving was very good, pleasant and efficient considering how busy she was. My beetroot starter was lovely, visually very appealing. My partner had croquettes and although tasty she thought the sauce inside was a bit too thick. For mains I had the butternut squash and mushroom Wellington with Truffle mash and kale, my partner had the braised beef shin with charred onions, potato gratin and and burnt bone marrow crumb. The Truffle mash was absolutely gorgeous, loads of Truffle running through, the pastry on the Wellington was fab and the filling was tasty. The kale was a nice accompaniment. The beef shin just fell apart it was so tender and tasty, the gratin was lovely and the crumb gave it a nice texture. We also had a side of heritage carrots which were very tasty. There was a nice atmosphere and the surroundings are modern and relaxed. All in all we both had a great meal and my partner enjoyed her birthday.

The food is fantastic. We had soup, salmon and mushroom wellington- Excellent! Loads of flavour. The sour dough bread was tasty.i was going to say a bit pricey, but I can’t re-create those flavours at home, so well worth it

Stopped in for a couple of cocktails, really nice. However, on a trip to the loo I was surprised not to encounter some penguins, such was the heat differential, all was not lost as I had a toffee hammer in my pocket to break the ice off.

With a relaxed atmosphere, friendly efficient service,good quality fresh food expertly served and presented and with a discount as a bonus feature,whats not to like. I have been before and this matches previous experiences.

It’s such a treat to finally have somewhere in Alnwick that feels a bit more like an upmarket and classy bistro. From the beautifully tasteful decor that creates an elegant ambience, attentive and knowledgeable staff and cosy atmosphere it really felt like a special place from start to finish. The perfect birthday meal out. The food was cooked and presented beautifully and my “Harmony Zero” mocktail was utter heaven in a glass! The best cocktail I’ve had tbh and it didn’t even need the alcohol. I’ll definitely be visiting here again. Alnwick’s has needed this for a very long time and I’m just sorry I’ve not visited sooner!

The food was good, especially the leek and mushroom wellington, although the smoked beetroot starter wasn't very smoky, it was paired nicely with the chicory. The sticky toffee pudding was very tasty. The service was the only slight disappointment and could be improved as we had to work quite hard to get the servers attention but the server was very polite and in general the place was very agreeable. 4.5 rating I think is fair.

We went to this restuarant on Thursday 21st. My son got pork belly which was pink. I got souo which was full of vegetables oi,l as i regurgitated on me later and my son and i fell sick that night. I phoned and complained and the area manager, a Matthew refused to help us. He also lied saying the waitress asked us if our food was alright? No one came near us, but to give us mire water. I wouldn"t recommend the place to anyone as the food wasn"t only undercooked it was bland and tasteless.q

Booked early but our table was bes ides a coat rack and in line with the door meaning a regular cold draught on my back. The waitress was lovely and her service was great. Unfortunately the meal took an hour to arrive. The quality of the food was excellent, such a shame the other problems ruined the experience on the night

The best Sunday lunch in Alnwick, perfect portion of well cooked food with quality ingredients and lovely interior / service and a sensible price.

Last minute walk in after arriving late to the area and not knowing what time we would be around. Superb, polite young lady was able to get us a table and dealt with us. We had some of the nibbles between us - focaccia with oil & balsamic; potato & Serrano ham croquettes; and some totally gorgeous glazed pork belly bites. Our appetites were awoken. Main was a steak & ale pie for me, and moule frites for my elderly father. He enjoyed his immensely - reminded him of having it in France a few decades ago. I had to stop him from licking the bowl. My pie was a mouth watering delight - I love a pie but am often disappointed, but this was spot on. Decent size, great pastry, juicy meat, gravy that was lovely, and some puree potato and roast parsnips too. Thank you Adam and Eve!

Went out for a couple of drinks with family. We loved the atmosphere and service so much we were convinced to stay for an impromptu dinner which was delicious. Everything was well presented and well seasoned. Unfortunately, we we unable to drink in the garden due to the weather, but the atmosphere inside was preferable anyway. The lady making the cocktails gave us some good drinks recommendations and even made off menu drinks for my partner as well as directing us to the nearest supermarket. Over all great service we had a lovely time and will be back. Thanks guys!

Lukewarm, welcome to our booked table, no wine served by the glass just by the bottle. Small portion of beef just 2 little slices, 2 small roasted, 2 midi parsnips, the only thing remotely large was the Yorkshire pud. Little atmosphere with few diners, lots of empty tables. It's £18 for a roast, yes it's tasty but if you still feel hungry afterwards that's not good enough. Would not recommend . So very disappointing.

What a place! Last night of our holidays and wanted a lovely meal. This place is perfect. Warm cosy lighting, ambience, decor is beautiful. Service very friendly. Food was amazing. Oysters to start, pork belly , duck- everything cooked to perfection , even had the sticky toffee pudding to finish the evening off on a perfect note as that was delish. Loved this evening. Gorgeous meal, absolutely impeccable. We came here for our last night of our stay in Alnwick and it far exceeded all expectations! They have an emphasis on locally sourced, high-quality ingredients and it really shows. We shared the pork belly bites from the nibbles menu, which I'd highly recommend, as well as the chicken supreme and confit duck leg we had as mains. All were beautifully presented, good sized portions and the freshest ingredients. That also have a great wine menu, several seasonal cocktails and a range of other drinks. We finished the meal off with the vegan chocolate torte which was incredibly rich and the perfect way to finish up a 10/10 meal. Staff were excellent, the atmosphere was lovely - overall a perfect restaurant! Hoping to be back next time we're in Alnwick.

Limited evening menu, bone marrow burger was nice but nothing to shout home about. Kids' meals were good, both of ours happy enough with what they got. Mussels were nice, but no bread served with them as standard, additional fee required. Bread is a staple with mussels. How else do you mop the sauce up? The actual meal we would both have ordered from the main menu was not available. We dined early evening. Parking is with a disc on the street - most shops sell the discs for £1. Atmosphere ok inside, a little flat. Toilets are good and clean, though females are upstairs and male ground floor. Staff helpful and efficient. Cocktails are decent and good beers on tap. In truth, it's more setup for couples/groups than families, but served us fine. Shame about the missing menu option for us as everything else was fairly standard.

Stopped in Alnwick on our way home from Scotland. The food was incredible, the service amazing. I just wished we lived closer so we could come more. Definitely a must if you're in the area.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Adam and Eve in Alnwick. The evening started well, with the starters arriving promptly and being of good quality. However, the mains were delayed by over an hour, and ours was not the only table that experienced this. The kitchen seemed to be haphazardly delivering meals to whichever table complained the loudest. The front of house staff were reactive and didn't manage their guests at all. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there is no excuse for such poor service. The staff should have been more proactive in communicating with their customers and keeping them updated on the wait times. They should also have been more attentive to our needs, such as offering us drinks or checking to see if we needed anything else. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience at Adam and Eve. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Recommendations The restaurant should improve its communication with customers about wait times. The front of house staff should be more proactive and attentive to customer needs. The kitchen should work to improve its efficiency so that meals are delivered in a timely manner. I gave Adam and Eve a rating of 1 out of 5 stars. The food was good, but the service was so poor that it outweighed the positive aspects of the experience.

Service not so good below average food

When the food choices we order perhaps doesn't match expectations we always try to find the positive. Unfortunately some of the front of house team are rude and unfriendly. On the positive, lovely atmosphere from happier patrons and an excellent wine menu.

A poor experience for us I'm afraid, after being seated promptly, given water and menus our order was taken. The starters arrived in a decent time and were tasty though not outstanding. The main courses however had not arrived over an hour later, 90 mins after our arrival. There seemed to be a lack of control as to what was happening, I heard a table of four complaining about the same situation as ours. We gave up and left, I'd lost my appetite by then. Also surprisingly little by way of an apology, one young girl apologised but nothing from other staff or the person in charge. All in all very poor.

Passing through my partner and I thought we stop for some food. The place looked good so we decided to sit outside and eat. The food was absolutely amazing. Interesting and fresh with typical dishes and new veggie/vegan that was just as good. Service was brilliant, nothing but praise!

We loved this place. We love the aesthetic and the atmosphere. Both of our servers were lovely and attentive. The pork bites were delicious, the best pork I've ever eaten! The chicken supreme was a great portion and beautiful moist. A massive thankyou to the chef! Oh and the cocktails 😙

We had a really lovely time visiting Adam and Eve. Food was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and attentive. We had alcohol-free versions of their cocktails which were as good as any alcoholic cocktails we've had - so much so that, after our meal inside, we couldn't help ourselves but stay and move onto the garden terrace for another.

Very expensive service not the best

We came on Friday for my boyfriend’s 40th, as I didn’t know the area I researched restaurants and I’m so glad I chose Adam and Eve. Fantastic evening, great service and wonderful food. My sister even surprised us with a bottle of wine on the table and she said communication was brilliant. Do not hesitate to book here! Definitely recommend!

First time we've eaten here, only had a drink in the beer garden previously. It's dog friendly which was great as were visiting for the weekend. Service was very good and friendly. We shared the scallop starter, then both had the steak and rhubarb parfait. All the food was delicious but my husband said the portions could be bigger ;)
