The best restaurants serving French food in London

I found a video of the afternoon tea held by Vicinity on Tik tok and yes I don’t believe everything I see that is why I called to confirm and on the phone they juts make it even dreamy. So the day of our visit : we had a chock as non of the promises respected and I used to live in the Uk many years ago and it is not my first afternoon tea but chooses this place because of the view and requested a halal option that when we arrived had no idea and juts offered to change our sandwich with egg one 🫣 and finally the plates arrived so poor in taste and visual, 4 sandwiches, 2 scones, 4 mini cakes that are all the same juts changing the place of the cream : one with non , one in the middle , on on top and one with chocolate that taste no chocolate , and all of it was tasteless . We had to take 2 Diet Pepsi and 1 drink to finish the bill with 140 £ that at the end they said they don’t accept cash when it was not mentioned anywhere even when I called . The place where the afternoon tea was held was a mix between people who are coming juts for a drink to other for food ! So why would I book for afternoon tea to have the privilege to have the view when at the end no view but the other person who is paying 10£ for a drink has a much better view then me who finish the experience with 140£ ??? I would say over all visit felt like a scam and will never come back or recommend anyone to go through that .

Dry cakes and pastry. Service was bad, they walked away while we were ordering and then didn't get either drink correct.

I’ve been a regular customer at Gail’s Bakery for quite some time, but my recent visit has left me incredibly disappointed. I specifically requested the least baked croissants, anticipating a delightful treat for my guests. However, after spending over £30, I was served very dark brown, dry crispy almond croissants that were clearly over baked and practically inedible. This is not what I expect from a bakery known for quality. I’m truly disappointed, and it’s hard to justify returning after this experience.

Perfect place for a dinner with friends on a Friday night. Superb presentation of food, excellent service, proper wine list. Had been here in the past for special occasions, and then a long gap between visits, was so glad to come back. Highly recommended.

I really liked it, pleasant atmosphere, very helpful and super kind staff, especially Juan, very dedicated and friendly, I will come back more often, the background music is super calm and pleasant!

Lunch booked for a birthday treat, ordered from the a la cart menu as more choice than the set menu. We had to wait 30 minutes for our starter while tables around us were served their main and dessert . When our main arrived the side order was missing, I had to ask for it and by the time it arrived we were over half way through our meal. The food was excellent but the service was disappointing.

El servicio no es tan bueno y los dos camareros fueron groseros. Al primero le pedimos que limpiara la mesa, agitó las manos y dijo que lo sé, y luego quitó las tazas y los platos y dejó la mesa impura. Luego le preguntamos a otro camarero y lo limpió. Lo segundo es que pedí té gris Earl y me dio té regular. Cuando le dije al camarero que es té normal, me dijo: “Este es un té gris Earl” sin siquiera tomarlo, insistí y luego él lo tomó y me dio otro té regular! ¡Mal servicio!

We had a wonderful evening here with excellent service from charming and engaging Staff. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and very well looked after throughout the whole evening. A gorgeous selection of wide ranging food on the Menu and a suitably extensive Wine List to match all served in a vibrant and busy Restaurant. We will definitely return.

Si usted está buscando un lugar acogedor para relajarse, ponerse al día con los amigos y disfrutar de un buen desayuno, este definitivamente NO es el lugar para usted. Todo el espacio está atestado de gente en sus portátiles (y no bebida o comida en las mesas) , lo que hace imposible encontrar asiento. Se siente más como un espacio de trabajo que un lugar de café. Qué decepción — estaba tan emocionada de mostrar a mis amigos lo que pensé que era mi lugar favorito de estilo francés, pero resultó ser una gran decepción. Afortunadamente, hay un montón de otros grandes lugares de café cerca.

Since when were samosa and nachos considered French or even European FFS!!! this place is a charade and not worth wasting money on!

Their products are Expensive and tasteless. The purple rice mochi is particularly poor, very bad packaging, warping with a cling film in a non recyclable plastic case.

Ambiente muy acogedor, comida muy agradable, grandes bebidas y personal amable. ¡Muchas opciones veganas! Muy contento con el café con leche de avena helado, rollo de embutido y pastelería Ferrero Rocher.
