Louie in City of London, Westminster

We had a wonderful evening here with excellent service from charming and engaging Staff. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and very well looked after throughout the whole evening. A gorgeous selection of wide ranging food on the Menu and a suitably extensive Wine List to match all served in a vibrant and busy Restaurant. We will definitely return.

This was my second visit to the restaurant. It was my friend’s birthday. After finishing dinner, some of my friends were still enjoying their drinks at the table. A friend and I approached the receptionist to ask if we could go upstairs to see the bar and consider continuing our night there. However, the staff responded rudely, stating that we couldn’t go upstairs until everyone had finished and the bill was paid. It was a complete disappointment on what was supposed to be a special night for us, and we did not appreciate their attitude at all. I will never go back.

Sur le papier le restaurant avait l’air top mais nous avons été déçus. L’endroit est bien décoré, c’est raffiné mais extrêmement bruyant : une table de 6 riaient et parlaient tellement que nous ne nos entendions pas avec mon mari. Pour couronner le tout la baffle était au dessus de notre table et la musique était forte. La table est partie assez rapidement heureusement et la musique a été baissée, mais la première impression n’était pas bonne. Si on aime le poisson la nourriture doit être bonne mais je n’en mange pas et le choix se limitait donc à du poulet (soit disant à l’ail confit que je cherche encore) et du filet Angus dont la sauce était délicieuse. Le personnel est souriant et serviable.

Dinner was really good , but especially because Lucia took good care of us! She made feel us so special , thank you for the best service. I will def come back to be served by her.

Good food overall, but extremely long delivery time for us and the service was poor. Not worth a visit given the exceptional alternatives nearby

At first glance the £28 two course lunch seemed like a good call. But the restaurant lacked any senior leadership so service was slow and casual so the experience was a bit painful. The sommelier was charming and knowledgeable but after helping select the wine, disappeared, leaving us to serve ourselves from the bucket just out of reach on the bar. Getting any kind of top up was arduous. When the food came it was luke warm. Overall very disappointing.

He estado en Louie esta tarde con unos amigos y he probado su menú de brunch, que actualmente está rebajado un 50%! ¡Oh Dios, qué experiencia tan encantadora! El servicio y la comida eran excelentes, mi rollo de langosta con patatas fritas era divino! Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Me alegra tener los almuerzos de vuelta. Todo era muy agradable, desde la comida, el servicio hasta la música. Sin duda volveremos. La decoración de Louie es hermosa y acogedora.

This restaurant was unexpectedly perfect from the greeting to the food, service and the upstairs bar. Went in after seeing queues outside many close by restaurants and by the time we left felt like the smartest people in London for choosing to come here instead. Great food and even better staff with our waiter Matthew being among the best at his job we have ever experienced. Top food top staff. Couldn't recommend more!

We happened upon Louie before a show around the corner. They might not cater for pre-theatre diners but I’m so glad we joined. Wonderful rainbow trout carpaccio and fennel/asparagus salad, followed by smoked lamb. The calamari was a little ho-hum but other dishes great and staff super friendly. They even found us the last bottle of a rare corsican wine. It was pretty quiet early on saturday night but imagine jt gets very busy later.

This is a fine dining restaurant and fine dining it was Beautifully cooked rack of lamb with red wine jus Foie de gras starter with brioche Excellent service Very good wine and sommelier

5/5 came here by myself which I thought would have been awkward for a place like the alligator bar, I have been here with friends and it’s such a upbeat place however the waitress Adele gave me suggestions on drinks and food, made sure I had fun,introduced me to the people who have gone to Louie London before.would definitely recommend
