Hilton Hyde Park & the Energy of London We stayed at Hilton Hyde Park for three nights. As always, Hilton is my first choice, and this time was no different. Despite a minor issue with a rude waitress that led to missing one breakfast, I don’t want to let that overshadow my memories of London. What made this stay special was not just the hotel itself but the experience of walking through the city. From Hilton Hyde Park to Harrods, Oxford Street, and Franco’s London, we walked everywhere. In London, walking itself is enough to enjoy—the streets are alive, filled with thousands of people, yet despite the crowds, everyone is kind, and there’s no rudeness. I couldn’t help but reflect on how much things have changed over time. In the past, people walked these streets lost in their own thoughts, carrying their problems or joys. Now, almost everyone is smiling as they talk to friends on the phone or engage with social media. Maybe, in some ways, this shift has made people happier. Social media has its advantages, especially for those living in vast metropolitan cities like London. Yet, there’s an irony to it all. People are never truly walking alone, yet in some ways, they are more alone than ever. Even in the most crowded streets, digital connections seem to replace deeper, real-world interactions. But perhaps this is just part of modern city life—a new kind of togetherness, shaped by technology. Regardless, London remains one of the world’s greatest cities, and Hilton Hyde Park offers a fantastic base to experience it. If you love exploring on foot, immersing yourself in the energy of a city, and embracing the changes of modern life, this is the perfect place to stay.

The location of this hotel can’t be beat— very convenient, right on the park, and close to public transport options. The breakfast and restaurant were also great. However, the quality and cleanliness of the hotel was concerning. When I checked in, I noticed numerous bugs crawling on the walls (ladybugs/Japanese beetles) as well as a couple of dead ones on the carpet. I didn’t say anything at first, but when I returned home from dinner that night, there was a massive spider in the corner of the room along with more beetles (the room had also been tidied but not vacuumed, as the dead bugs were still on the carpet.) The desk staff person was kind enough to move me to a new room, but repeatedly asked me to leave a positive review and mention his name, which was odd, since moving me to a room without bugs felt like the bare minimum. The new room was smaller and smelled moldy after a day or so. On the last couple of days, there was also a foul sewage smell that would come and go. I believe the desk staff was doing the best they could, but the hotel is in need of renovation and the cleaning is subpar. I’ve noticed other reviews mentioning similar issues, so I hope the hotel takes this seriously.

I booked Hilton London Hyde Park for my upcoming trip to London , except I'd forgotten that my international flight was an overnight flight and I really wouldn't be arriving until one day later. I immediately (within 5 minutes of the initial booking) tried to update my reservation, but hotel management denied my change, so I'm left paying for an additional day I'm not using. Planning an international trip to a country you've never been to can be stressful. I'm really disappointed in the service, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton London Hyde Park Hotel. The location was very convenient—across the street from Hyde Park, and next to Queensway subway station. Several restaurants were within half a block. The staff at the hotel were uniformly friendly and helpful. Daniele, Melissa, and Clarena were outstanding..

We booked a room with park view but the window was completely covered by a black plastic, the room also smells moldy. We asked for the room changed but the manager was very rude and downgraded our room, such a shame for Hilton hotels!

Regarding my reservation over booking.com the total amount of stayed should be 2328 GBP (including TAX) for 3 rooms but you charged me 2806 GBP (after 2 days checked out) and still a lot money blocked from my credit card. (check in 4 th of februay check out 8 th Fabruary. I had 3 rooms one that I stayed room number 320) Once I have checked out, you have also gived me 2328 GBP invoice. I am Hilton Honors Diamond member (#266736432) and first time see such a huge problem. My problem started as I have checked in and keep continue till now. I had contacted the front desk managers many times they appoligezed but still nobody solved. I am still waiting to pay my money back and release the blocked money today.

The Hotel is fabulous and the location is the BEST..I took nice walks during my entire stay in Hyde Park. The front office staff was extremely helpful and supportive..Charlize and Melissa... specially Melissa since she was able to speak Hindi she helped me a lot in guiding for local site seeing, near by shopping area and calling on my behalf of my lost luggage in London.. I will surely come back again whenever I get opportunity to visit London..

Very satisfied with the stay. Clean and nice room, pleasant and service minded staff. We were a little late for check-out, I called reception and explained and it went perfectly. The receptionists Melissa, Clarena and Charlize were super nice and welcoming. Will happily return to Hilton Hyde Park.

Convenient location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had plenty of lighting and outlets. Bar area and restaurant areas were superb. Very cosy and inviting bar and quiet enough to have a conversation with hearing impaired travel partners. Front desk staff while extremely young to a Senior citizen group were helpful and friendly. Rates were a good value.

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted to give a special thanks to Sakina, Daniele, and Nara, who went above and beyond to make mine and my wife’s stay special for our honeymoon. Additionally, this hotel is very well located. One street over there are several good restaurants, you are literally right next to the central tube station, and you are right on Hyde park. It would be hard to find a better location when visiting london as a tourist.

The team at Hilton London Hyde Park made it their mission to make sure that my family and I had the best stay ever. They were very responsive to my emails prior to my arrivals and were more than helpful with storing two small packages I had delivered to the hotel before my arrival. When we arrived, our room was not ready due to ventilation issues, so they offered us two rooms at the price of one, as there were no additional available rooms for three people. And because we had to be somewhere for 3pm, which wouldve been check-in time, they offered to store our luggage until our return later that evening. Three nights later, my sister and I were in the lobby and I was visibly limping and mentioned this and one of the three gentleman at the front desk offered to give me a bag of ice to help with the swelling. That was very kind of them and I was able to see the same gentleman the next day and thank him for that again. And after checking out, my sister lost a small bag and was retracing her steps and called the hotel to ask if she might've left the bag in the lobby. The team member said he remembered us and that there was no bag, and another team member responded to an email we had also sent. So, overall, the team at Hilton London Hyde Park are very responsive, helpful, problem-solvers with a wonderful attitude and hospitality. Highly recommend!

I stayed here from 18/01/2025 to 26/01/2025 The location of the hotel excellent opposite to the hotel is a beautiful park easy accessible to the tube, bus, restaurants . The ambiance of the hotel superb The cleanliness of the room superb All the hotel staff from reception very polite and helpful The house keeping staff very polite and cooperative Very delicious unlimited breakfast which i enjoyed daily the restaurant staff very polite and helpful . The hotel as an architectural building has an incredible facade. It is located in front of Hyde Park, which is a very nice place to visit, especially in spring. What's really bad is that everything makes noise. The floors are wooden and the bed makes a lot of noise, that situation is uncomfortable.

Really nice older Hilton, near Hyde Park. Rooms are smaller and older, but it's an old building (1920s I think?) so that's to be expected. We stayed in a small 2 person room. Service was great, people are very friendly. The breakfast is worth it once, but honestly there are better options out around Notting Hill and Portobello road. All in all, definitely recommend staying here. Also be sure to hit up the Saturday market along Portobello road! Just keep walking, and watch for all the food stalls!

Desperately trying to understand how this hotel manages a four star rating. A few of my experiences so far: 1. Queen Rooms are TINY - the only physically possible option for opening a full sized check bag is the bed, it’s impossible to do on the floor even if you wanted to block the bathroom and front doors by doing so. The bathroom is tiny, no shower door on the tiny shower so water goes everywhere. The bathroom door in our room was warped and chipped from what looked like constant wetness. 2. Service quality is far below four stars - my room came without a bag for laundry service, when I called and requested one I was told I’d have to retrieve the bag myself from the front desk. Despite instructions for pickup on the laundry form, I was told I’d have to bring the laundry back to the front desk myself. When I brought my laundry down at 830a, I was told the service is actually 2 days, not 9a-7p as stated on the form, and that I’d have to pay for express service for same day turnaround. What about this is four star service? At best, it’s improper signage and false advertising. Additionally we moved rooms during our stay and our second room had no bath towels. Location is great. Standard rooms and service are far below any other four star hotel we’ve stayed at.

I have been stayed in this hotel for many times.But what happened just disappointed me.I check out this morning and store my 3 bags.I came back at 6pm to collect my bags but the lady in the reception said she cannot find my bags even if she already checked at least 3 times .Then she asked me to report to the police about that.She finally suggest me to look around the luggage room myself and I found my bags just in the luggage room.This is so ridiculous.I am really sad about the attitude and the poor service.

Used the family room for 2 days. The family room is located in the second basement, so there are no windows, so there is a facility to supply outside air. The surrounding area is very dirty, so it seems like the air supply is polluted with dust. And the vacuum noise is very loud due to the subway passing underneath. When making a reservation, there was no information about the family room being on the second basement level. I felt like I was sleeping in a subway station. Never use the family room. And in case of an accident, evacuation is almost impossible and rescue is impossible. There are also doubts about how permission was obtained. In fact, it is a hill space that should be used as a warehouse. I became concerned about Hilton's commercial tactics. The elevator goes to the first basement floor, and you have to take the stairs to go down further. Very uncomfortable.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Let me start out by saying I don’t normally write reviews but I would hate for someone else’s trip to be ruined because of this establishment. I booked this hotel because it was decently priced and seemed in a good location. This was a mother-daughter trip for my mom and I before I get married. To say we were disappointed in this hotel would be an understatement. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I normally stay at Marriotts, and I will never stay in another Hilton again because of this. We arrived late and upon check in we were told that the room I had booked (king room with park view) had a leak so the best they could do was give us a queen room and have us move in the morning. (Annoying, but we agreed after they agreed to give us a discounted price. This discounted price wasn’t even offered from the beginning, we had to ask.) So my mom and I went to dinner quickly across the street, and came back to our room in order to go to sleep. Upon pulling the sheets back we were greeted with strings of long hair all between the sheets. We then looked at the bathroom and there were used tissue on the floor, and trash in the shower. CLEARLY, our room was not even clean. The bare minimum you expect from a hotel. We phoned down to the reception, who informed the manager. The absolute best he could offer us were clean sheets for us to put on the bed ourselves. Sheets were brought up in a ball, and had stains on them. The pillows of the bed were completely stained once we removed the covers. The manager could not have been less concerned, and I was left completely disappointed with our first night in London. My mom was disgusted. If it had not been 11:30pm and we were not exhausted from traveling. We would have moved to another hotel right then and there. We made the management aware we were moving the next morning, they first tried to charge us a cancellation fee and for the full 3 nights we were originally booked. Completely unacceptable. The best they have offered me since we left was pointed credited to my Hilton Account, a waste since this was my last Hilton hotel I will stay in. If you are looking for a wonderful hotel, and a perfect London experience - PLEASE go to St. Ermin, a Marriott (2 Caxton). We had the absolute BEST service and best time, it completely made our trip. We were given a complimentary upgrade when we arrived because they felt so bad for us after hearing our story from this Hilton. This hotel would have completely ruined my mom’s first experience of London.

Update for Naraly who replied to this: it isn't helpful if you don't include your contact information. I have repeatedly reported this to Hilton Guest Relations and repeatedly asked for a refund for my stay. It has been over three weeks since I began that correspondence and have received nothing but rude replies from nearly everyone I have spoken to. The hotel refuses to give me a refund. Let me know if that changes or I will keep posting here. Would give this place negative stars if I could. Too many issues to type here. Pick a different hotel, plain and simple. No air conditioning.

I stayed here with my wife and had the most lovely time. The location is superb and the customer service is top notch. Advikya at the front desk was extremely hospitable and considerate. If you are an American going to visit London, this is a great place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Additional Pros: it is situated right off of the center line tube.

If you are a heavier person you will have an embarrassing moment in the lift where a weight limit sign will flash up causing people to have to get out, I laugh now but at the time it was super embarrassing for me and my partner and a couple of other heavier guests, we aren’t that heavy and the weight of everyone in the lift did not add up to anywhere near the weight limit on the sign. It was mediocre for a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was ok, decent amount of options, the bar was ok the receptionists and bar staff are friendly on the night shift, however there are loads of security guards that give an unwelcoming vibe to the place. No windows that open so you only have air-conditioning so felt a bit suffocating in the room and other than sleeping I cant imagine relaxing in there. Overall, meh. Not bad but not great either.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. The staff were nice but when I say that I had the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on I'm not joking. We had a queen room and the mattress was so worn out that you almost rolled out of the bed because the springs were so worn out. They didn't have any other rooms for us to switch to so we dealt with it. NOT what I expect when I stay at a Hilton... Also side note it silly that you can't get your Hilton points if booked anywhere but through Hilton. I'll stick with Marriott or Hyatt next time.

Bad and really disappointing is an understatement for our stay at the Hilton Hyde Park. We have always stayed at this hotel and have been frequent visitors however since the pandemic we haven’t made it back until now. Wow - hat happened?! The rooms are in a serious need of renovation - worn and dirty carpet, chipped furniture and bathroom tiles not to mention a shower that now has pitiful pressure as compared to our other visits which wasn’t good but to be expected in London. The dining staff were rude and “out to lunch” - the breakfast lounge had three tables with three staff on the floor and we had to wait 20 minutes before we could get their attention as they chatted at the entrance to the cafe/lounge ?? We decided to cut our stay short by two days and checked with the front desk that we could indeed receive a full credit without any cancellation fees but upon checking out after we had made our travel arrangements we were told “oops we made a mistake and you have to pay two full days”. Seriously? Both the manager and the receptionist on staff acknowledged they had given us the wrong information but said they couldn’t change things and that I had to call Hilton corporate offices. Thankfully the front desk manager realized when I pointed out that she/they/the front desk ARE HILTON and that this was an unacceptable response, put the time and effort into getting our refund squared away. We haven’t returned from our travels yet so I’m holding my breath that the refund happened for $550 + but safe to say it was a huge disappointment. We’re back in London and staying at a Marriott which is the same room rate and so much better. Sorry Hilton, this trip wasn’t worth the loyalty we’ve given you over the past 20 years.

Where do I begin? I wanted to wait to see if Hilton would do something but they didn’t. I checked in digitally on my phone and specially picked a certain room, then about 2 hours later I arrive at the hotel and the front desk girl first had to check if a room was ready / mind you this was after check in hours stated* and plus I checked in on the app! I’m so tired I can’t fight her when she gives me a room on a different floor after having to check with a few people which should have been the first red flag. So we take our stuff up to the room and we walk in and we are hit with warm air and I check the AC and I see it’s flashing which can’t be good: mind you this hotel is old so the heat is trapping in the musty smell. I call down to ask about the AC and if it was known it was broken- she says she just finds out maintenance knew it was broken (why would you put someone in here in a heatwave??) and I was like ok so what are we going to do about this? She says as compensation they can move me TOMORROW and give me free breakfast and I was like …ok that doesn’t help me now but that seems to be the option. I asked for a second fan to be brought up as there was always one in there so clearly they knew the AC was broken. The fans were coated in dust so add that to blowing in the air. I then decide to call Hilton directly because I am tired and I cashed in all my points plus money for this stay. Which they said they couldn’t do anything since I’m still there. I did mention to the desk girl I would like points refunded as I didn’t pay for a room that was hot and musty and oh random hairs in the towels in the bathroom. And she said because I got breakfast that was enough. So I go about the rest of my stay angry all hell and call Hilton yet again - they gave me 20k points back and I asked does this cover a night because I feel like I should get a night back since I barely slept and if I had the energy, I would’ve left the hotel and they said no, but that’s the best they can do which I find insane as someone who stays a Hilton all the time. Oh also these beds are small and hard as rocks!!! I should have taken all the reviews to heart but normally it’s people who can’t be pleased and I have never written a bad review but since Hilton didn’t help me out I’m here to warn the next people staying to pick a different hotel. The location is great I’ll give it that* we stated citizenM for the other part of our trip and I would stay there any day over this place

The staff were very friendly. Bed was hard and uncomfortable compared to other Hiltons. A large Carnival Festival in NottingHill started up the second day, that we were not informed about. We showed up the second evening after touring in London to find the front door locked and had to hit the call button the get in and out, room key access was not an option. That was when we found out the festival would spill our to the hotel too. They tried to tell us it was safe but we didn't feel that way. Not when you have to ask to be let in and out. We felt very unsafe and when we mentioned it to the manager she tried to convince us otherwise. We checked out and went to the Park Lane Hilton. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Its in a bad area and right around the corner was a lot of riff raff. Park Lane was AWESOME!!!

The hotel is located immediately at the Queensbury Tube (subway) exit. It was raining the day we checked in, so it was very convenient. We had a Standard King Room and the bed was very comfortable. The AC in the room worked well and the shower was very nice. Overall this is a great hotel located right across the street Hyde Park, and a 2 mile walk to Buckingham Palace

Taylor Swift brought the game but Hilton Hyde Park did not. My sister, friends and I stayed for about a week at the Hilton Hyde Park for the past Taylor Swift concert and to tour the city of London. Upon arrival one of our rooms (particularly the bathroom) had a horrible smell of sewage. In addition, using the toilet, sink, and shower created this horrible noise like a sink garbage disposal. We contacted the front desk and due to volume of people in the hotel we had to wait a night for a new room. Second day into our trip our friends room had an uninvited guest. A bug of some sort (maybe a roach). There was only one and it was killed and the room cleaned shortly after. Further into our trip mine and my sister’s room did receive house keeping for two days in a row. We let it slide the first day but the second day coming back to a dirty room after being out all day was disheartening. When we contacted the front desk about this we were told “well you need to be out of the room for room service”. Room service eventually came but left remnants on the rug, leading us to believe the room was not completely cleaned. Overall this was not a terrible stay. Perhaps the flood of swifties was too much for this hotel to handle. In the future I would ask that customer service and cleanliness is prioritized.

El personal / camareros estaban tan desaliñados vestidos, uno de ellos incluso tenía a su pequeño hijo tirando de ella como estaba de servicio, sé que está de moda ser informal y no esperaba servicio de plata, pero si el personal no puede molestarse en parecer inteligente para el servicio, entonces comienza con sus otros estándares de higiene. ¿Y por qué se permite que los hijos del personal corran por ahí? Ya es bastante malo tener clientes que corren por ahí. También llamé y solicité una vela con postres, pero esto fue ignorado, por lo que omitimos el cargo por servicio. For a hotel chain the size of Hilton, the hotel service is terrible. Patienceless attendants, with an arrogant attitude and completely confusing information. There was “maintenance” at the hotel on our last day, and they turned off the water and electricity at the final check-out time. Result: we were unable to drink coffee and take a shower. There was nothing informing about this “maintenance” (cutting of basic services), and the staff was completely lost and rude. I will never stay on this network again.

From the states. Traveled to London for work and I wanted to stay in a hip area. I thought there were a lot of restaurants and things to do around me. I did feel like the room was kind of dated. It may be the neighborhood, though. The elevator was super small, hallways were small. As a human over 6 foot, this place felt a little tight. Good bathroom size, though.

The rooms we had were good, large, comfy beds and quiet. The location is good as right next to a tube, but you have to get a taxi or 30min walk to Albert Hall or Kensington so there are better locations if you are visiting those places. However the real let down here were the reception staff, rude, uninterested and lack basic communication skills. It’s not hard to ask if you have had a nice stay on check out, and the check in experience with Ann Marie was beyond painful and very confrontational for no reason.

Worst experience ever in this hotel. Bookinf for a room wuth a view on the park and finished with another room « you have upgraded! ». The room was horrible, the most noisy I ever had, just close to the elevator machine room. The view was horrible too (see picture). And to finish to enter the shower you need to step over the water closet. I went to the reception to ask to change « oh yes this room is really noisy but unfortunatelly there is no other room available. We offer you your breakfast ». To finish the heating system was not working and only 5 degrees outside. I let you imagine the night! The only answer was « do you want another blanket? ». The king size bed is always in a hotel two bed. We are use to it but at list you do not feel it once you are in. That was definitly not the case here as you could see on the picture. Really two separated beds. Going to the reception for complaining, or pass by to go to the breakfast, always people were waiting to complain about one thing or another. Definitly a hotel to avoid!

SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!! This is DEFINITELY the least accommodating hotel I have encountered. Keep in mind I travel on a weekly basis. Parking is on a very busy street or optional a sketchy alley. Customer service is not their strong suit either. I booked a reservation and I had to modify it due to travel changes. Well, the hotel took it upon themselves to change the rate to the point where I can’t modify or cancel the reservation to book at a different Hilton hotel in the area. The manager was quite rude and adamant that I will not be refunded during the first interaction (Friday) when all I needed was a modification of dates to Monday All After 2+ hours of trying to sort out this reservation issue and a 10hr flight and $$$ lost. I am a very disappointed customer

This is such a nice place. We sat here every day! Nice staff, good food, absolutely super desserts, wine, beer everything. Its a 5 minute walk from the London House Hotel so perfect for starting or closing the day. We had the best weather ever so we could sit outside and enjoy traffic and passing people. Its situated opposite the park. Really nice. I miss it already.

Staying at the Hilton and took the easy option to eat in the attached restaurant. Somewhat disappointed when the discount card provided by the hotel 15 minutes earlier was declined on a technicality. Manager claimed that Aubaine is nothing to do with Hilton so I left and found a brilliant alternative within 5 minutes. What is strange is that The Hyde Park Hilton uses Aubaine for breakfast and shares the same building. Breakfast is very average, but the Dinner Menu and ambiance look ok. However, something is clearly very wrong in the way the restaurant treats Hilton guests. I’m sure it will be sorted, but for the time being I’ll be eating elsewhere including breakfast.

We was here this weekend and the whole experience was rather boring at best, The room looked rundown, the carpet look like it had not been cleaned in a few years, the actual room was a mix of Brown and Beige, no candles on the table for dinner, the music was more hip hop than dinner type music that you would expect at a 3 star restaurant, the starf suites looked like they needed replacing as they all looked old and worn out, the food at best was of a good high street restaurant and not a 3 star at all and just did not inspire one, the explanation of each course was explained in a rushed and rather awkward way where it was very hard to understand what they was saying, having been here about 5-6 years ago, the restaurant this weekend just did not match what we experienced this weekend, its passed its sell by date by a few years I think, the £1800 bill for the 3 of us seemed a total waste of money and a night out, it did border on a embarrassment, when you look at some of Londons other 3 star restaurants like Gordon Ramseys, Sketch, just to name a few Alain Ducasse's restaurant falls far short,

Son las peores frituras de filete que podrías desear. A pesar de que la mesa estaba a pocos metros de la cocina, las fritas estaban tibias. El filete era beige, masticable, sin intentar cortarlo. Aparte de la camarera, que era brillante, el resto del personal era indiferente. Sería mejor que fueras a Pret y le dieras la diferencia a la caridad.
