The Dining Room at Hilton London Hyde Park in City of London, Westminster

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Let me start out by saying I don’t normally write reviews but I would hate for someone else’s trip to be ruined because of this establishment. I booked this hotel because it was decently priced and seemed in a good location. This was a mother-daughter trip for my mom and I before I get married. To say we were disappointed in this hotel would be an understatement. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I normally stay at Marriotts, and I will never stay in another Hilton again because of this. We arrived late and upon check in we were told that the room I had booked (king room with park view) had a leak so the best they could do was give us a queen room and have us move in the morning. (Annoying, but we agreed after they agreed to give us a discounted price. This discounted price wasn’t even offered from the beginning, we had to ask.) So my mom and I went to dinner quickly across the street, and came back to our room in order to go to sleep. Upon pulling the sheets back we were greeted with strings of long hair all between the sheets. We then looked at the bathroom and there were used tissue on the floor, and trash in the shower. CLEARLY, our room was not even clean. The bare minimum you expect from a hotel. We phoned down to the reception, who informed the manager. The absolute best he could offer us were clean sheets for us to put on the bed ourselves. Sheets were brought up in a ball, and had stains on them. The pillows of the bed were completely stained once we removed the covers. The manager could not have been less concerned, and I was left completely disappointed with our first night in London. My mom was disgusted. If it had not been 11:30pm and we were not exhausted from traveling. We would have moved to another hotel right then and there. We made the management aware we were moving the next morning, they first tried to charge us a cancellation fee and for the full 3 nights we were originally booked. Completely unacceptable. The best they have offered me since we left was pointed credited to my Hilton Account, a waste since this was my last Hilton hotel I will stay in. If you are looking for a wonderful hotel, and a perfect London experience - PLEASE go to St. Ermin, a Marriott (2 Caxton). We had the absolute BEST service and best time, it completely made our trip. We were given a complimentary upgrade when we arrived because they felt so bad for us after hearing our story from this Hilton. This hotel would have completely ruined my mom’s first experience of London.

Update for Naraly who replied to this: it isn't helpful if you don't include your contact information. I have repeatedly reported this to Hilton Guest Relations and repeatedly asked for a refund for my stay. It has been over three weeks since I began that correspondence and have received nothing but rude replies from nearly everyone I have spoken to. The hotel refuses to give me a refund. Let me know if that changes or I will keep posting here. Would give this place negative stars if I could. Too many issues to type here. Pick a different hotel, plain and simple. No air conditioning.

If you are a heavier person you will have an embarrassing moment in the lift where a weight limit sign will flash up causing people to have to get out, I laugh now but at the time it was super embarrassing for me and my partner and a couple of other heavier guests, we aren’t that heavy and the weight of everyone in the lift did not add up to anywhere near the weight limit on the sign. It was mediocre for a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was ok, decent amount of options, the bar was ok the receptionists and bar staff are friendly on the night shift, however there are loads of security guards that give an unwelcoming vibe to the place. No windows that open so you only have air-conditioning so felt a bit suffocating in the room and other than sleeping I cant imagine relaxing in there. Overall, meh. Not bad but not great either.

I stayed here with my wife and had the most lovely time. The location is superb and the customer service is top notch. Advikya at the front desk was extremely hospitable and considerate. If you are an American going to visit London, this is a great place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Additional Pros: it is situated right off of the center line tube.

Dears Management team, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the unresolved issue of my refund. Despite confirming the cancellation of my reservation with your reception and receiving approval from the duty manager, I have yet to receive my refund, and the reservation team has not responded to multiple emails. It is unacceptable for the hotel to withhold the refund, especially since the cancellation was processed three/four days ago. Please investigate this matter and issue the refund promptly, as this delay is not in line with professional service standards.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. The staff were nice but when I say that I had the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on I'm not joking. We had a queen room and the mattress was so worn out that you almost rolled out of the bed because the springs were so worn out. They didn't have any other rooms for us to switch to so we dealt with it. NOT what I expect when I stay at a Hilton... Also side note it silly that you can't get your Hilton points if booked anywhere but through Hilton. I'll stick with Marriott or Hyatt next time.

Good service with a good breakfast

Bad and really disappointing is an understatement for our stay at the Hilton Hyde Park. We have always stayed at this hotel and have been frequent visitors however since the pandemic we haven’t made it back until now. Wow - hat happened?! The rooms are in a serious need of renovation - worn and dirty carpet, chipped furniture and bathroom tiles not to mention a shower that now has pitiful pressure as compared to our other visits which wasn’t good but to be expected in London. The dining staff were rude and “out to lunch” - the breakfast lounge had three tables with three staff on the floor and we had to wait 20 minutes before we could get their attention as they chatted at the entrance to the cafe/lounge ?? We decided to cut our stay short by two days and checked with the front desk that we could indeed receive a full credit without any cancellation fees but upon checking out after we had made our travel arrangements we were told “oops we made a mistake and you have to pay two full days”. Seriously? Both the manager and the receptionist on staff acknowledged they had given us the wrong information but said they couldn’t change things and that I had to call Hilton corporate offices. Thankfully the front desk manager realized when I pointed out that she/they/the front desk ARE HILTON and that this was an unacceptable response, put the time and effort into getting our refund squared away. We haven’t returned from our travels yet so I’m holding my breath that the refund happened for $550 + but safe to say it was a huge disappointment. We’re back in London and staying at a Marriott which is the same room rate and so much better. Sorry Hilton, this trip wasn’t worth the loyalty we’ve given you over the past 20 years.

Where do I begin? I wanted to wait to see if Hilton would do something but they didn’t. I checked in digitally on my phone and specially picked a certain room, then about 2 hours later I arrive at the hotel and the front desk girl first had to check if a room was ready / mind you this was after check in hours stated* and plus I checked in on the app! I’m so tired I can’t fight her when she gives me a room on a different floor after having to check with a few people which should have been the first red flag. So we take our stuff up to the room and we walk in and we are hit with warm air and I check the AC and I see it’s flashing which can’t be good: mind you this hotel is old so the heat is trapping in the musty smell. I call down to ask about the AC and if it was known it was broken- she says she just finds out maintenance knew it was broken (why would you put someone in here in a heatwave??) and I was like ok so what are we going to do about this? She says as compensation they can move me TOMORROW and give me free breakfast and I was like …ok that doesn’t help me now but that seems to be the option. I asked for a second fan to be brought up as there was always one in there so clearly they knew the AC was broken. The fans were coated in dust so add that to blowing in the air. I then decide to call Hilton directly because I am tired and I cashed in all my points plus money for this stay. Which they said they couldn’t do anything since I’m still there. I did mention to the desk girl I would like points refunded as I didn’t pay for a room that was hot and musty and oh random hairs in the towels in the bathroom. And she said because I got breakfast that was enough. So I go about the rest of my stay angry all hell and call Hilton yet again - they gave me 20k points back and I asked does this cover a night because I feel like I should get a night back since I barely slept and if I had the energy, I would’ve left the hotel and they said no, but that’s the best they can do which I find insane as someone who stays a Hilton all the time. Oh also these beds are small and hard as rocks!!! I should have taken all the reviews to heart but normally it’s people who can’t be pleased and I have never written a bad review but since Hilton didn’t help me out I’m here to warn the next people staying to pick a different hotel. The location is great I’ll give it that* we stated citizenM for the other part of our trip and I would stay there any day over this place

The staff were very friendly. Bed was hard and uncomfortable compared to other Hiltons. A large Carnival Festival in NottingHill started up the second day, that we were not informed about. We showed up the second evening after touring in London to find the front door locked and had to hit the call button the get in and out, room key access was not an option. That was when we found out the festival would spill our to the hotel too. They tried to tell us it was safe but we didn't feel that way. Not when you have to ask to be let in and out. We felt very unsafe and when we mentioned it to the manager she tried to convince us otherwise. We checked out and went to the Park Lane Hilton. I would NOT recommend this hotel. Its in a bad area and right around the corner was a lot of riff raff. Park Lane was AWESOME!!!

The hotel is located immediately at the Queensbury Tube (subway) exit. It was raining the day we checked in, so it was very convenient. We had a Standard King Room and the bed was very comfortable. The AC in the room worked well and the shower was very nice. Overall this is a great hotel located right across the street Hyde Park, and a 2 mile walk to Buckingham Palace

The only thing keeping me from giving it four stars is the breakfast (it’s unappetizing enough I skipped it even though it was included in my stay). Otherwise, great rooms, service & location for the price.

Beautiful hotel, very central! Very very nice rooms.. Only flaw, perhaps inevitable in London.. Really very very small room! As usual, bed on one side attached to the wall And if you put your suitcase on the floor... you won't fit in! Forgive them: professional, correct. You can definitely be kinder!

Very rude front desk staff especially the female with eyeglasses! Carpets are dirty! Room size is acceptable! The location is great, opposite to the Hyde park entrance, close to multiple bus stops and underground stations! Everything was acceptable except the attitude of the front desk staff!

Taylor Swift brought the game but Hilton Hyde Park did not. My sister, friends and I stayed for about a week at the Hilton Hyde Park for the past Taylor Swift concert and to tour the city of London. Upon arrival one of our rooms (particularly the bathroom) had a horrible smell of sewage. In addition, using the toilet, sink, and shower created this horrible noise like a sink garbage disposal. We contacted the front desk and due to volume of people in the hotel we had to wait a night for a new room. Second day into our trip our friends room had an uninvited guest. A bug of some sort (maybe a roach). There was only one and it was killed and the room cleaned shortly after. Further into our trip mine and my sister’s room did receive house keeping for two days in a row. We let it slide the first day but the second day coming back to a dirty room after being out all day was disheartening. When we contacted the front desk about this we were told “well you need to be out of the room for room service”. Room service eventually came but left remnants on the rug, leading us to believe the room was not completely cleaned. Overall this was not a terrible stay. Perhaps the flood of swifties was too much for this hotel to handle. In the future I would ask that customer service and cleanliness is prioritized.

Nice upgraded rooms with nice bathrooms and views

Overpriced for the quality. The staff seems bothered by family size groups. No one smiles and seems bothered to help. We eventually stopped trying to flag them down because of the vibes you got when asking them for things like ketchup.

Extraordinarily poor service. After being seated outdoors on an annoyingly wobbly table, I was left sat there like a lemon for an eternity. (Despite the venue being virtually empty) Eventually I went in to remind the staff that I was waiting. I was begrudgingly handed a drinks list and main menu. I’d clocked the offer they had on when I walked in but again, they didn’t bring that menu across nor mention it. Again I trudged back to the counter and asked for that menu. Food was ok but super expensive for what it was and it took forever to arrive. Sirloin steak was ‘soggy’ and the chips must have been sourced from McDonald’s. Eventually. I told the waitress to bring the bill and told her to take the ’discretionary’ 12.5 percent service charge off considering that there was no discernible service of any quality. There was one pleasant waitress there but if I was her, I’d seek employment elsewhere because the place was not good at all. .

The restaurant is nice enough and so is the food but that’s where it ends. The staff/waiters were so scruffily dressed,one of them even had their little child tugging along her as she was on duty,I know that it’s trendy to be informal and I didn’t expect silver service but if staff can’t be bothered to look smart for duty then it beggars their other hygiene standards. And why is staff’s child allowed run around it’s bad enough have customers children running around. I also rang up and requested for a candle with desserts but this was ignored,so we omitted the service charge. Please think about your Service and Hospitality otherwise your business will not be successful. Honestly it was not a pleasant or special experience.

Love all the Aubaine locations. The food is really tasty. The plates are beautiful. The wines and other drinks are amazing.

The room was really small, the shower sprayed water all over the bathroom and the bar was unattended. You had to press a button to call someone for service which was really awkward.

For a hotel chain the size of Hilton, the hotel service is terrible. Patienceless attendants, with an arrogant attitude and completely confusing information. There was “maintenance” at the hotel on our last day, and they turned off the water and electricity at the final check-out time. Result: we were unable to drink coffee and take a shower. There was nothing informing about this “maintenance” (cutting of basic services), and the staff was completely lost and rude. I will never stay on this network again.

The worst treatment and the worst service - I do not recommend it to anyone at all - one star is too much for it

The hotel is very well located, the attention at the reception is maliissiiimaaaa The restaurant service is very good and the attention is phenomenal. Horrible room with a view to the back of the roofs we will never go back there again I do not recommend it despite its good location

Depending on the price, if you get it, it costs 100 pounds, because the rooms are small and the location is excellent and close to the central stations.

Aubaine has marvellous food. The meal was splendid. Great dining experience. The service is amazing. The drinks are awesome too. Love this place.

From the states. Traveled to London for work and I wanted to stay in a hip area. I thought there were a lot of restaurants and things to do around me. I did feel like the room was kind of dated. It may be the neighborhood, though. The elevator was super small, hallways were small. As a human over 6 foot, this place felt a little tight. Good bathroom size, though.

The rooms we had were good, large, comfy beds and quiet. The location is good as right next to a tube, but you have to get a taxi or 30min walk to Albert Hall or Kensington so there are better locations if you are visiting those places. However the real let down here were the reception staff, rude, uninterested and lack basic communication skills. It’s not hard to ask if you have had a nice stay on check out, and the check in experience with Ann Marie was beyond painful and very confrontational for no reason.

Worst experience ever in this hotel. Bookinf for a room wuth a view on the park and finished with another room « you have upgraded! ». The room was horrible, the most noisy I ever had, just close to the elevator machine room. The view was horrible too (see picture). And to finish to enter the shower you need to step over the water closet. I went to the reception to ask to change « oh yes this room is really noisy but unfortunatelly there is no other room available. We offer you your breakfast ». To finish the heating system was not working and only 5 degrees outside. I let you imagine the night! The only answer was « do you want another blanket? ». The king size bed is always in a hotel two bed. We are use to it but at list you do not feel it once you are in. That was definitly not the case here as you could see on the picture. Really two separated beds. Going to the reception for complaining, or pass by to go to the breakfast, always people were waiting to complain about one thing or another. Definitly a hotel to avoid!

SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!! This is DEFINITELY the least accommodating hotel I have encountered. Keep in mind I travel on a weekly basis. Parking is on a very busy street or optional a sketchy alley. Customer service is not their strong suit either. I booked a reservation and I had to modify it due to travel changes. Well, the hotel took it upon themselves to change the rate to the point where I can’t modify or cancel the reservation to book at a different Hilton hotel in the area. The manager was quite rude and adamant that I will not be refunded during the first interaction (Friday) when all I needed was a modification of dates to Monday All After 2+ hours of trying to sort out this reservation issue and a 10hr flight and $$$ lost. I am a very disappointed customer

This is such a nice place. We sat here every day! Nice staff, good food, absolutely super desserts, wine, beer everything. Its a 5 minute walk from the London House Hotel so perfect for starting or closing the day. We had the best weather ever so we could sit outside and enjoy traffic and passing people. Its situated opposite the park. Really nice. I miss it already.

Arrived for brunch ,party of six. Waited a while to be seated then went inside and was told to wait outside , three members of staff passed us , no acknowledgment, weren’t busy at all . Staff were extremely rude , waited a further 15 minutes then left , will not be going back , tables inside were empty , tables outside also available, just downright rude .

Came here yesterday for breakfast and it was delicious! Had the poached egg on avocado toast. Lovely little spot outside in a very central location. I ordered something I didn’t like and they were nice enough to not charge me for it, even though it was my mistake! Amazing customer service, would definitely return!

what a but exp I was finishing eating and had my glass of wine all most fully ,they guy work there come to me say I was there more then 1 hora and he need the tablet in 10 mints ....I was shock ...to be honest I was there max 35 Mts was time I seat order eat and he come to me because he want the tablet ..also staff very rude with tablet next to me because they was with the baby ....my good I can say NEVER AGAIN ..I better spend my money in other place and they can stay with they place (means soon I wouldn't be surprise if they close soon )with that service ......RUDE PEOPLE

Staying at the Hilton and took the easy option to eat in the attached restaurant. Somewhat disappointed when the discount card provided by the hotel 15 minutes earlier was declined on a technicality. Manager claimed that Aubaine is nothing to do with Hilton so I left and found a brilliant alternative within 5 minutes. What is strange is that The Hyde Park Hilton uses Aubaine for breakfast and shares the same building. Breakfast is very average, but the Dinner Menu and ambiance look ok. However, something is clearly very wrong in the way the restaurant treats Hilton guests. I’m sure it will be sorted, but for the time being I’ll be eating elsewhere including breakfast.

Cuisine peu gouteuses, hamburger fade, pâtes pour les enfants trop cuites et sauce tomate acide. Des frites servies avec truffes. Nous demandons des frites sans truffes, nous recevons une commande sans truffes et l'autre avec truffes, bon mon mari n'a pas réagi, car le goût de la truffe était minime. Par contre sur l'addition, ils ont compté 2 frites à la truffe. Bref, nous n'y sommes plus retournés et nous déconseillons. Même le décor n'est pas génial, un éclairage verdâtre, pas du tout d'esprit de Noël. En résumé rapport qualité/prix 3/10

What had been a humrum eatery by the park has upped its game. Superb Wagu burger and double cooked chips. What a transformation! A big thank you to Katherine our lovely waitress who was kind and thoughtful and so friendly to my daughter. Great service!

It ls a beautiful place either to eat or have a coffee, and then just cross the street and enjoy Hyde Park! Definitely I will visit again! And few meters from the station!

Being tired from an eleven hour flight, we could not yet book into the hotel. We decided to get some breakfast and saw the Aubaine. Brilliant food, great service, although they didn't bother us every few minutes. We shall definitely visit again.

After having a lousy experience in another restaurant we stopped off here for a drink. Was a beautiful day and we got a table on the terrace. Seemed to be just one waitress on duty but she was very pleasant and got to everyone in really quick time Perfect place for people watching. Clean toilets, nice venue, great staff. We will be back

I often come for lunch at Aubaine Notting Hill, and I love it. The food is good, the staff very friendly and I enjoy the quiet music in the background. A great venue for families, couples and solo.

I came here for breakfast after seeing good reviews online and on Instagram. I had the Eggs Imperial which was very tasty. Coffee on the other hand was horrible, couldn't drink it at all but luckily the food made up for it.

Went there for lunch. The rigatoni was awful. The sauce tasted like it was made from a jar or a can of tomatoes. The pasta was UNDERCOOKED and for £14.50 it's not worth it. The interior was very smart but the food let it down....

Had brunch with friends on a Saturday - we each had a different variety of eggs benedict and all were fresh and delicious. Fast, friendly service.

We spent a very peaceful time in Aubaine Notting Hill. Very good "café latte" in a very confortable place, quiet & nice. Ideal to have a rest in a busy "tourist morning". The service also is very gentle & helpful.

Nice venue but service and food not the greatest very quite with only a few tables taken , I’m sure food can be better give it a try but don’t put up with poor food

La comida era mejor de lo que esperaba y el precio no era demasiado malo teniendo en cuenta que es un restaurante de hotel. Mi única queja fue que el menú era algo limitado, pero no creo que pueda esperar demasiada variedad para un restaurante de hotel.

Loved our week long trip to London and was glad to have Aubaine. It's connected to the Hilton Hyde Park. The Hilton really wasn't responsive in getting us in a room, so we spent a long time in the Aubaine lounge on New Years Day. We had breakfast vouchers from the Hilton, so we enjoyed a breakfast there each day. The pastries and coffee were excellent. If you were fortunate enough to get Martina or Simone as a server, then you were well cared for. The others and managers -- definitely not.

We spent a nice moment at Aubaine. Staying at the Hilton hotel it was convenient. The menu was nice and offering a large variety of dishes . We choose the fish which was excellent.

We were taken here by a friend who lives outside of London; she had lived in the area before and was familiar with it. I really liked the Croque Monsieur. Our server was very personable and patient with us, since we wanted to talk after lunch (there were still a few open tables). I will return!

Beautiful experience. First time dining in a glorious venue and I and my family and friends will be back!! Reasonably priced and marvellous location. Service was second to none and more could not have been desired with the breakfast.

Nice restaurant, but pricey. Good meals but again overpriced. Staff didn’t appear to really care about your person, meaning it took more than 10 minutes after sitting to even be offered a drink. Will not return.

Gorgeous restaurant with the most divine food. Breads, pastries, french toast and eggs royale for breakfast.. a little piece of heaven😍 Staff friendly and attentive, no delay with service. Our 2 nd visit to this place and again will be back.

Lunch meal was of good value and well presented. Friendly staff. Food was excellent - all courses but especially lobster spaghetti. Went with friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely atmosphere.

It's written an announcement of "APERITIVO": "5£ :1 drink and a small plate" but it's not correct, foods are NOT included for 5£.

The service was very poor from start to finish. We sat down at the table and ordered our food which was fine.

Service was terrible (main course was wrong, no bread with starter, mains were brought out when still eating our starters and then left to go cold in the kitchen. Burger consisted of 5 50p size pieces of beef!!

Aubaine var den värsta restaurang jag besökte under hela min matvecka i London. Här gjordes verkligen alla fel som kan tänkas göras.

Long wait, but the food was ok and nice service. Mussels were served without bread which was a bit weird.
