Average to bad food. Limited options! I don't recommend it. I have eaten much better! Expensive for what you eat.

One of my favorite spots for a cold beer and charcuterie snack. Been going for years. Solid meat and cheese options. Bar is small but fun. Window seating in the summer. Any go wrong here.

Lovely! Visited on Valentine’s Day and expected it to be a bit crazy, but the service was amazing, food arrived quickly and everyone was very attentive. Lovely atmosphere, nice drinks, nice food, only comment is that it would be good to have a few more options to eat.

Walking around looking for a place to have dinner we happened upon this place. They found us a table and we had a wonderful meal. My mother’s maiden name is Blanchette and I was missing her and this place was so excellent on all fronts and it all came together and it made me happy.

We used this place for a Christmas gathering for a lunch and it was quite quiet when we dined. The service was warm and charming and made us feel very welcoming. The menu was quite difficult to choose if you were thinking as starter and main course but the food was tasty although there were quite a few items out off the menu (perhaps as it was before Xmas closure).

True bistro food and vibes. We had the pre-theatre set menu, which is a great value, and everything was superb. The service is also top notch.

The dishes are too salty. I think they should ask people’s allergies during the order and try to include all the ingredients on the menu.

Vinimos aquí anoche después de leer buenas críticas en otro sitio. 1 / El personal era encantador. 2 / El ambiente era encantador. 3 /La calidad de la comida era preciosa. SIN EMBARGO... Los tamaños de las porciones eran ridículamente Pequeño dados los precios. Pedimos el maridaje de queso y miel para comenzar, x 3 , entre 6 de nosotros pensando que sería suficiente. £ 21 valor de 6 de las rodajas más pequeñas de queso. En realidad pensamos que era una broma y estábamos esperando que apareciera el resto. Para la red, tenía la mejilla de ternera que estaba deliciosa, pero un poco en el lado pequeño. Marido y amigo tenían el pato que consistía en una pechuga muy pequeña. El vientre de cerdo era igual de pequeño pero el bacalao era risiblemente minúsculo. La comida llegaba en diferentes momentos, por lo que esperar a que la comida de todos estuviera en la mesa al mismo tiempo significaba que la comida de otros se enfriaba y tenía que calentarse. Para ser justos con el personal, ofrecieron postres gratuitos que extrañamente eran bastante grandes. En general, agradable, pero no estoy seguro de que volveré ya que algunos de nosotros salimos todavía con hambre a pesar de pagar más de £ 120 por pareja.

Great quality food and presentation. Unfortunately, our server wasn’t very professional. They made us feel very rushed even when there were many seats available. Ultimately, they lost custom, as we left rather than buying more drinks. It’s a shame as the food and atmosphere were very nice.

Buzzy French bistro. Great service, nice food - drop a star as they were a bit wobbly on food allergies (but we got there in the end). Cod was perfectly cooked. Overall a nice experience - shall return.

Booked the private dining room for a business dinner following a very long meeting. It was just what everyone needed! Feedback was very positive and the food was delicious! Cosy, intimate and relaxed, not to formal. Will most definitely be back again!!! The staff are absolutely lovely. One thing I would suggest ( only because it was a business dinner) is to have the music turned down by a small touch. If you're there in a personal capacity, no problem with the music. Please visit Blanchette, you won't be disappointed.

We have been going to Blanchette for over ten years and it always impresses!

Every lunch is special. There is a very affordable menu for lunch, 23£ for 3 courses… Everything is homemade and cooked with delicacy. Today we had the Parmesan velouté, some cod croquettes and a delightful Pork ragu. The chef is French and the atmosphere feels French vintage. I will for sure come back every time I visit London.

We ate very well in this warm place which transports us to France with tasty and comforting cuisine. The choice was particularly vegetarian, the staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was great! We will come back

This is a cozy French bistro in the heart of Soho with such a cute interior. The food is incredible and very reasonably priced. They even have a pre-show set menu so you can grab a bite to eat before your show. The staff were all very friendly and made sure your every need was catered to even though they had a full restaurant. We had the butternut squash soup, pork ragu and peach crumble. I would recommend any of these dishes, simple delicious.

Just amazing, this place deserves a higher rating all together. Food is top, menu is great, fantastic drinks and really cosy atmosphere. Party room downstairs for larger groups. Highly recommended, will return!

Lovely meal, friendly staff. BUT, we were served a chocolate mousse desert with pistachio nuts, with no warning. We had already indicated we had a member of our party with a nut allergy (and they held our walnut dressing). Spoke to the manager at the end and suggested they change the menu to include the pistachio. Let’s see if they do…… I’m not convinced after her reaction

Estaba muy impresionado por este restaurante francés escondido en el borde del Soho. Estaba bastante ocupado, lo que era una buena señal y tiene un buen ambiente bullicioso pero no dominante. Tenía el vientre de cerdo que estaba muy bien cocinado y presentado con algunas patatas fritas y salsa bearnesa. El precio se encuentra en el extremo más alto de la gama media y la red eléctrica te retrasa entre 35 y 40 £ dependiendo de los lados.

Buena ubicación en el Soho justo detrás de la zona de Oxford Street con una bonita decoración y velas. 3 de nosotros y factura £ 125 inc 13. Cargo por servicio del 5 %. Pedí mejillones que eran muy sosos, y tuve que pedir pan para mojar que era 5. 50 extra. Chips como las patatas fritas del supermercado, aunque estragón bañado en mayo agradable. Pedí ensalada de burratina principal (como burrata) y era DIMINUTO! Más bien un entrante, y había tan poca ensalada que me preguntaba si habían traído el plato equivocado (16 libras esterlinas ), así que un poco de estafa, aunque sabroso. Vaso de cremante burbujeante 10 £, pero mejor relación calidad-precio pidiendo una botella. Posponga cuando la mesa se limpie con un paño j viejo, y la camarera aclare las copas antes de que el vino termine (se detuvo justo a tiempo).

3a vez que he estado aquí ahora y la comida es consistentemente excelente. Restaurante acogedor que se siente íntimo con menú de alta calidad. El besugo es sublime, al igual que el bacalao y el pollo principal. Es raro encontrar un restaurante en Londres en estos días que ofrezca una gran relación calidad-precio. Este lugar es una joya oculta del SoHo. Definitivamente a la par con el restaurante Michelin si no más alto. ¡Sigan trabajando y nos vemos pronto!

Divine place!! Food was amazing! We ate pre theatre so early hence didn’t want big meal and choose some nibbles to start then picked a few cheese plates, everything was delicious. All washed down with a fabulous bottle of Picpoul from an excellent wine list. The service was on point, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The ambience and decor is just gorgeous and it was a wonderful start to our date night!! Thanks and very much look forward to returning very soon!!

Great starters and mains but, for a restaurant that prides itself on the menu for the cheese and honey pairings, get them up to room temperature before serving!! If I want a soft cheese, it needs to be soft! Staff however were superb in dealing with customers who were disappointed with the cheese.

Starters / sharers are really nice, mains are fine, the signature cheeses are a disappointment for a French restaurant as they are straight out of the fridge. Staff are really good, 13.5% service charge was a lot.

I had the crab tagietelle and 2 glasses of rose. Super expensive, dribble of wine for 10 quid a glass (v small glass) and half plate of crab pasta, that came strongly recommended from the waitress. I am never risking going to any Soho restaurant again. The food was tasteless. My friend had the chips which were the highlight looks like of the menu. The only other good thing was we sat outside and had some space. I thought it might be good, chicken looked ok, but why they recommended the crab pasta, it came in a brown sauce, not that tasty and I didn't taste the crab, maybe cos it was frozen? I didn't enjoy it at all. Soho dining it can be very hit and miss and this one certainly missed the spot. Sorry but 100% true. The service was crap too, just not very friendly waitresses.

Outstanding french cuisine, would highly recommend! We ordered the bread with butter, mixed olives, beef croquettes, the pork belly and the crab tagliatelle with red chilli and garlic. The bread was superb, and the beef croquettes lived up to the expectations, they were of decent size, incredibly flavoursome and rich, and great for sharing. The pork belly was very well cooked, soft and full of flavour, and the bacon jam improved the plate by adding a touch of sweetness in addition to the sauces. The best dish was definitely the crab tagliatelle. While one may think that there is not that much crab since it’s shredded, it is in copious amounts, and even the pasta tastes like crab, which is rare to find since many restaurants when cooking with seafood only add tomato sauce and the seafood to the pasta rather than cooking them together. The chilly flavour was perfect, not too much as to overtake the other components of the plate but enough to give it a nice kick. All in all, would recommend, great spot for a dinner in Soho!

Super charming, cozy, and relaxing place in the middle of Soho. French cuisine shines here with such great flavour, care, and finishing touches. The food options are great, and portions are fair. The pea gnocchi is phenomenal! They have a large selection of wine, but I also highly recommend the cocktails! Oh, and they are dog friendly. A must go!

Could not recommend more highly. Even better than the Shoreditch version. Set menu incredible value and great wine list.

The food is quite pricey and I loved all the starters, but my main dish, pasta with crab meat (£24) was bland. I wish I had taken something else.

Had the pre-show set menu, and everything was utterly delicious. I’m not the biggest pavlova fan, but by far one of the tastiest pavlovas I’ve heard had. Highly recommend the pork rillettes and the gnocchi! Can’t wait to come back

We stumbled upon this place and just happened to get seats at the bar (make a res if you want to go!) but it ended up being one our favorite meals in London! Absolutely amazing food - highly recommend the sea bream, croquettes and charcuterie - and drink! Our bartender was super friendly and our hostess gave us several other recs of places to go to eat in the area. You know you're in a good french restaurant when most of the people there speak french including the patrons!!

My friend hosted her birthday celebration in their jungle room private dining. The service was excellent and attentive, the group party menu was extensive and delicious. Really worth it in my opinion. A lovely restaurant which I would happily go back to!

Wow, what a place, hidden gem in soho and close to Regent Street.. Been there for lunch , staff is super good and very attentive and ambience is like Heritage loved it , Food is very affordable price and excellent quality , enjoyed olives , cheese,breads all fresh and amazingly, loved the hospitality surely will be there some other time to try more dishes and wines

A lovely little restaurant at the less crazy top end of soho. Visited for lunch and opted for the set menu, with a meat board to start. The set menu has a limited choice but good value for money. Portions aren’t massive but perfect for a lunch. Was nice to be able to order a carafe of wine rather than a full bottle too. Service was attentive and friendly. This place has a few counter seats, so I will definitely be popping back for some wine and cheese.

Best meal in london in 4 days visit. The place is charming. The service is welcoming and delicate. The food is well executed french cuisine with attention to details and not overdesigned and not pretenceious at all. Good product well cooked. And the music is there, not loud and well selected. I came here few weeks ago for a quick meal. The service was very slow. The portion are really tiny, a basket bread for £5.5 I was chocked and it was not exceptional… I will not come back

Es un restaurante tipo Francés con una carta no muy extensa pero suficiente. Nos gustaron mucho una especie de croquetas de carne y luego pedimos las dos opciones de carne y el pollo para compartir. También se pidió la opción del Crab pasta. Estaba todo muy bueno aunque las raciones no son muy grandes. Atención muy amable y detallista. El local es acogedor y sorprendente.

Good atmosphere and decent food, but pretty disappointing that despite making it clear at the booking that this was for a special birthday celebration they made absolutely zero effort to recognise it. No-one's asking for a free cake, but something/anything would have been appreciated.

A superb discovery, everything appealed to us: the menu, the location, the decor, the staff (it was pleasant to chat with a French waitress who was able to advise us on dishes suitable for our 2 children). The bistro chairs brought back memories. Regarding lunch, we loved the cheese bites with onion confit. An excellent appetizer. The rest was of the same ilk. I recommend this beautiful address to all our compatriots who have a little bit of the blues and of course to all those who love good cuisine. Good luck to the whole team.

Very bad experience. Ordered fish with clams for which you needed a microscope, not much bigger mussels and a very dry piece of filet. It came with a nice sauce but nothing to soak it. When asked for bread a few slices were provided without disclosing that there is an almost £6 charge for it. Nothing reminiscent of good french cuisine or hospitality.

Blanchette restaurant's Jungle room was the perfect setting for a friend's birthday celebration. The ambience was charming, the staff attentive, and the food was delicious, especially the Beef cheek, it was cooked to perfection and simply melted in my mouth. Highly recommended for wine lovers visiting Soho!

Charming restaurant with a gorgeous private dining room downstairs. I dined at Blanchette on a Thursday evening with a work group of 10 people and we had the private room downstairs. We were greeted by lovely staff upon arrival and our waitress for the evening was Beatrice who was absolutely fabulous and very patient and kind to us - the group was very loud and a bit chaotic in some moments… Service was impeccable. Food was delicious - simple dishes executed to perfection. The seabream tartare was the best raw fish I’ve had in my life. I’d been recommended Blanchette by people I worked with previously and I can see why they raved about it, it truly is a fine establishment.

Blanchette recently celebrated its 10th birthday, which means it can legitimately be considered a modern Soho institution in my book. And it's clearly earned that tenure from some exceptional food and fantastic atmosphere. Our dinner for two delivered on both of those. One page of the menu is dedicated to small plates that serve as appetisers - bar snacks, cheese and honey pairings, charcuterie and the like. A special call out to the goats cheese and honeycomb which was the dish of the night. The other side of the menu is a variety of mains with a strong French influence, and both my salmon and my dining partner's moules were delicious (though secretly it was the frites and Béarnaise we couldn't get enough of). We finished the meal with some utterly delicious passion fruit and coffee ice creams accompanied by a very well made espresso martini. Then the atmosphere. The restaurant is small but typically packed, giving it a buzz that you really only get in the heart of Soho. It's exhilaratingly chaotic and charming in equal measure. The only slight drawback was the service. While nothing but friendly, the actual delivery was patchy. The small plates took a while to arrive, only for the mains to then be sent from the kitchen before said small plates had been fully eaten. And the front of house team, who again were entirely cheerful, were also clearly a bit harried. Still, perhaps that's just part of the vibe. Do as the French do, order another bottle of wine and go with the flow...

Very disappointed. I had wanted to try Blanchette for a long time, having heard good things. Had the pre-theatre menu, which seemed like a good deal but the portions were tiny -- I left hungry. The starter was good without being amazing. But I had mussels for the main and they were tiny thin mussels, with grit still in them, very disappointing, and nowhere near enough for a full portion. Hopefully they do better on their main menu but I wouldn't go back to find out.

We had an excellent lunch here of small plates - starters, charcuterie, and cheeses - and will definitely be back soon. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The cheese beignets were absolutely amazing - we could have had 10 orders of them! Great service and atmosphere. Also they make good cocktails. A real find!

How my vegetarian parents got food poisoning causing fever and vomiting from the cauliflower dish I have no idea- there must be some serious cross contamination happening in the kitchen. We shared all of our dishes and the cauliflower was the only one I didn’t have, and coincidentally I’m fine! It was also the only meal that they both ate that day so couldn’t be caused by anything else. The food was average, nothing particularly wowed us and we ordered a third of the menu. The cheese beignets were nice but aren’t beignets, they’re fried cheese sticks- very disappointing. Beef cheek was nice but only contained 5 mouthfuls of beef- the squash was really nicely cooked though. The fries were lukewarm when they arrived, had a spongy oily texture, and the bearnaise sauce tasted really lemon-y. Chocolate fondant was okay, but the exterior was dry and the coffee ice cream was gritty, I think maybe freezer burned? Overall a disappointing experience for my birthday meal, I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Small, cosy and a lively buzz about the place when we visited on a Saturday evening. Limited choice of mains but both the dishes we tried were excellent. Less is more sometimes. Considering this is a central London restaurant I thought it was great value. Recommend a visit.

A real authentic piece of France in London. I emphasize authentic. Both in the decor but especially on the plate! Real French products and recipes, very successful! And the wine is also chosen with taste. Flawless!

I had an amazing experience at Blanchette! I’ve been trying multiple French restaurants in London but none of them really touched me except this one. We ordered sea bream tartare, fish with clams and mussels, beef cheek and a passion fruit flavoured dessert. My sister and I could not stop smiling as they are too delicious to be true! Thank you this beautiful charming lady at the bar for serving us and a big shout out to the chef team!

Such a nice little French restaurant in the middle of soho. Gets you to travel to France with its atmosphere and delicious food, with super friendly and professional staff! Loved it. It’s a bit pricy, but equally nice.

It was OK, French restaurant with few options. Service was very slow, and we needed to order the same thing few times before they brought it. The portions are rather small, and needed to eat lots of bread to compensate. They were very concerned about the time we would stay. No more than 2 hours, regardless if we are still eating dessert, or finishing the wine bottles. We went for a business dinner, and needed to discuss important matters, but they said our time ess over and kicked us out. On top they charge a mandatory 13.5% tip. I would not go back.

Went in November. Nice room. Very friendly welcome. However service was uninformed, and not particularly proactive or attentive. The truffle popcorn was a very small portion that was cold and soft despite being £3. Gentle mention got a response of 'oh'. I couldn't be bothered asking it to be removed from the bill, but it would have been the correct reply. One of the starter/snacks was quite good prawn (I think?) croquettes, although slightly under-seasoned. Another, was just bland despite being a cheese-focused dish. Mains forgettable. Didnt bother with desert. Wine list ok although limited by the glass with no help, and the non-drinker in the group felt there could have been a more proactive suggestion for him. Pretty average overall.

Super bon restaurant, mais attention à l’arnaque le paiement est demandé à la réservation mais il vous font payer encore + 15% de la note à la fin du repas pour le service alors que les plats sont déjà très coûteux et le service est normalement inclue dans les restaurants londonien (précisé à aucun moment lors de la réservation). We ordered a two course meal and some dishes from the menu. We love the crispy bread with honey and cheese a lot! Croquettes are nice with melty fillings inside, the soup is thick and creamy, and the chicken is tendered. Yet the risotto is comparatively ordinary and the service charge is a bit higher than the normal restaurant. Overall it is a delightful experience.

As ever, the experience was great. I’ve been coming for years and there’s a reason for that. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Baked St Marcelin & truffle honey, come on, melted cheese and honey is always delicious. Main course. Grilled pork belly, oyster mushroom and blue crumble apple. The best part of the meal. Not too fatty and a great flavor combo. It came with frites which were soggy and flavorless, unfortunately. Dessert. Chocolate tart, very bad. Also, very limited wine by the glass . Bartender was helpful and knowledgeable. I would return and try charcuterie and cheese. Overall. 7 out of 10. Good 😉 That’s all for now.

Very accommodating for gluten and dairy free options, which can be especially challenging for French cuisine! Dishes were flavourful sans-butter. I’d recommend the chicken and pork!

Stunning meat dishes and meat platters, but cheese and honey and desserts were too overpriced. IMO, we paid too much. Stuff was great, welcoming and helpful.

Cozy little French bistro. I understand their menu is seasonal. Food tasted great. The service was top notch. They didn’t have any mocktails on their drink menu but the bar attendant who was French (Nance was his name I believe if I remember correctly) made me one of my favs which was Chapman. It wasn’t on the menu but he went the extra to shake it down for me. Thank you! We had the prawns for starters. As main we had the pork belly, chicken and beef. You need to order a side with whatever you choose as main because the description in the main are just garnish aside from the protein. Every little detail on the plate made culinary sense. For sides we had the green beans salad which was nicely crunchy. We also had the fries. I highly recommend this place. Attentive and welcoming staff!

By far the most dissapointing meal i have had while travelling, very underwhelming bland tasting food. Poorly executed dishes.
