Excellent food. Limited menu. Our son can manage chicken on the bone but not all can and that was the only option. We had the chateau briande and the tomato salad. Lovely food. Very expensive wine list. Not much to look at as overlooks a ln inner city park. Worth it for the food.

We’ve not been here for a couple of years and we’re surprised at the huge hike in prices! The service is always excellent, and the menu good and interesting. The fish main was a massive disappointment. Gernaurd with hale mousse- the sauce it came with was oily and over flavoured with tarragon which took away the flavour of the fish. Langoustine for a starter was £19 for 3 TINY langoustine - rip off. The chateaubriand was £88 and was meant to be medium - the middle was inedible as it was completely raw. Overall disappointing.

Some things very good and others below average We had a nice table in the corner, the restaurant got quite loud with only a few tables. We ordered a burrata and pumpkin starter and some roast chicken for my daughter. Burrata was very bland, cold and the chicken leg was undercooked so we had to send back, very disappointing they’d serve raw chicken to a child! We ordered 2 mains for 3 adult, deer stew and some partridge and foie on croute. The stew was massive, served with tasteless polenta mash, the meat was hard and dry at most. The partridge pastry was very nice, we gave it a 8/10. But it had bones in it, very cheewy stringy bits of meat in some mouthfuls. The pastry would have been enough for 3/4 adults alone. The stew the same. Shame we weren’t aware they were going to be so large. We explained we didn’t really eat the stew so they deducted my daughter’s roast chicken from the bill, how thoughtful when that was raw the first time round. Bill came to 270 pounds, not cheap. Too much food left. 1 dish nice and the others 2/10 for the stew and 4/10 for the burrata.

We were a party of 15 family members, gathered for a Sunday lunch to celebrate the life of my father, who had died in July. The restaurant staff - particularly the manager, Brett - did a fabulous job in looking after us. We sat in the glass fronted conservatory, and had some terrific food - the Pheasant Pithivier, the Bar en Croute, and the Roast Chicken in particular were especially good. Service throughout was very attentive and helpful, and the family all said afterwards what a great experience it was. We would strongly recommend Pique-Nique for a party like ours. The dishes are designed for sharing, which worked really well for us.

We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children so 8 in total. We were happy the night before around 6.30pm to be contacted and asked for our menu choices and the menu was emailed to us. I said I’ll get back to you this evening and responded before 9pm with our choices. I phoned again around 5pm on the night itself to check these had been received and to recap on the choices. We arrived at 7.05 for dinner. There were very few people in but after 1.5 hours the restaurant filled up. It took ages for the starters to arrive. We experienced very long waits between courses and one choice, the vegetarian option itself was completely forgotten. Things improved after my husband had a bit of a meltdown. We had a three course meal and left after 10pm. (We are all very quick eaters!!) The food was very good and the bill was generously adjusted but it was meant to be a family celebration and to be honest the long waits between courses had a negative impact on our celebration. Over 3 hours is a very long time particularly when the order was made the day before. I would love to give this place a glowing review and to feel confident enough to go again, there is a lot going for it. However something is going wrong there and definitely needs analyzing. What is it?

A wonderful meal in a quiet oasis, a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge, this was the perfect location for our little family get together. The conservatory was ideal for the warm evening, and there was a busy but relaxed atmosphere. Food was superb; we had the smoked mackerel tartelette and paté (both very good), followed by the chateaubriand and lamb shoulder between four of us. Both mains were standout memorable - worth every penny. Puddings were also excellent, especially the passion fruit soufflé - heavenly! The service was attentive and friendly. All in all, a perfect evening; merci à vous!

What a wonderful place, such a hidden gem, right by our hotel, we went there for a drink then saw the menu and decided to book a table for that evening. Brett looked after us he managed to get us a table in the conservatory. Such a great ambiance, the food was superb, Brett was very knowledgeable about the wines and the menu, it really was a fantastic evening in a quiet location, like I said a hidden gem. Thank you team, we will be back.

This is a fabulous place, nice location and lovely staff. Very usual that you have to share a dish between two people. The food is excellent however a little pricy and the portions are a little too generous. Order for one and dine for two would be perfect (apart from drinks). Overall a top recommendation and a joy to visit. Note for those who follow Google maps the entrance is at the park entrance beside the tennis courts.

We had an amazing Guinea Fowl Pie between three of us and it would easily have served four people. Desserts particularly blueberry soufflé and rhubarb sable were delicious. A glass of Trebbiano was good and didn’t ‘break the bank’. It helped to be able to have our little dog under the table as it’s ‘dog friendly’. So it was a good destination after a long London walk.

Caisse Croute’s sister - perhaps for those who don’t book weeks ahead of cannot play the French card. Too expensive, average service. If you cannot get in CCand they refer you to PN then make PN better and better value. It feels a rip-off. All places that were great and had huge following eventually blow it by taking people for granted. CC and PN need to be careful.

Very friendly service and our waiter talked through the whole menu and outlined it was a menu meant to be shared. 4 adults shared 3 starters, 2 mains and 1 desert. All dishes were fantastic but particularly so was the crispy egg, pheasant with a sauce you'd be happy to put on your cornflakes and the souffle to finish. We sat in the conservatory and that's where I would recommend sitting. We experienced none of the things that others have previously criticized this restaurant for so I would definitely recommend you try it for yourself!

Been to Pique Nique last year, and everything has changed, in a very good way. Starting with the staff - more competent, smily and friendly team. They clearly are a little family and enjoy working there. Food is incredibly well thought. Loved the traditional french...

When I was growing up in Yorkshire the description of a good restaurant visit was “there was meat and three veg, it was piping hot and we were served very quickly”. When I moved down South and the decades passed by, the criteria were different....

Extremely friendly staff and always great food. We have been 4 or 5 times now and never disappointed. The lemon sole we had recently was exceptional and the paired wines impressive. The souffle was sublime. Been for lunch and dinner and equally impressive. Lovely place...

The chicken was tasty and good. However there were only 2 waiters and the restaurant was extremely busy. Service was too slow. Definitely needs some improvement management wise.

I came here with a group of friends for after-work dinner. The waiter was friendly and helpful when ordering. He suggested a great wine, which was delicious! As the place got busier the service did slow down but this was more down to the fact...

Had a lovely business lunch this week. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The carbonara was delicious. I didn't realise it would be served with a raw egg on top, so had to check it was British, as I am pregnant. The waitress confirmed it...

I really am struggling to say anything good about this place. The food is mediocre at best and service is non-existent. I would avoid at all costs

La comida es deliciosa, el vino es bueno y el personal es muy amable. Decoraciones encantadoras sólo un poco caro. Nunca recibí una factura detallada, por lo que no pude verificar después lo que la hizo tan cara.

Food was lovely but service was so disappointing I wouldn’t eat here again. We ordered a selection of plates that were whisked away as soon as they looked vaguely finished (they weren’t), we had only just ordered dessert (having asked three times for the menu- generally the waiters were very inattentive and it was hard to get service) when we were told the restaurant closing. We had only been there for about 1hr 15 minutes by this point and weren’t given our table until 8.35pm despite booking for 8.15pm (which was earlier time for evening sitting). We told the waiter we needed to have dessert but then were told three times (whilst eating it) we needed to go and were given the bill before we’d received dessert which I’ve never experienced before. As soon as we had paid I felt like we were just being hassled out, particularly by one large bald guy who resembled a bouncer. Despite spending over £100 on a couple of bottles of wine we had plastic pint glasses planted on our table and when I went to toilet I returned to the table to find my wine glass was gone and wine decanted into plastic. This totally spoilt the enjoyment of almost a full glass of a nice wine, which I ended up leaving. The final straw was the bouncer guy coming over and telling me us rudely they were closed and we “needed to leave”. It wasn’t even 10.30pm and still felt early - plus other customers were still there. We felt like we were pushed out and it completely soured the evening which was a birthday celebration - and felt a bitter end. Bora Bistro I had high expectations - and you failed miserably.
