I tried to order some food via deliveroo. The restaurant called me and said that they don’t have some items which should be reflected on the menu online. I asked to cancel the order instead. They told me to cancel it from my side. I tried contacting customer service who said that they cannot reach this place over the phone to confirm cancellation. When I called again and asked to pick up the phone within next couple of minutes to confirm cancellation because deliveroo cannot go ahead without it, the person on the phone was extremely rude to me. At first he said that it his 2nd day of work, with this attitude on your 2nd day he shouldn’t last for much longer.

I hear this was good once. Our experience last night was entirely underwhelming and we will not go back and certainly not recommend to anyone. The menu looks interesting and, unlike others, it was explained to us a couple of times. We chose 3 small plates and 1 large plate. The small plates, pasta was good, burrata not so good and lamb just a bit odd. We wondered whether there was a large donor kebab in the kitchen which they were serving fatty thin pieces of lamb from. The large chicken plate was ok but nothing to get excited about. The thing that really annoyed both of us was that the quite expensive bottle of wine that we had been recommended, and had ordered, tasted disgusting. It smelled bad and had a long vinegary aftertaste. After the bottle was open for about half an hour we mentioned it to one of the waiters. He got a glass, did a lot of sniffing, swirling and slurping and then told us that was what organic wine tasted like. We drink a lot of organic and biodynamic wine and were struck dumb by his response. Would we like it decanted? Ok - let's give that a go, although it should have been breathing in the glass. The waiter then proved how much he knew about organic wines by sticking the neck of the bottle into the neck of the decanter, putting the decanter on the table and upending the bottle to empty it asap. It remained disgusting. The waiter did not come near us again to ask whether the wine had improved. We paid and left as soon as we could. Left feeling completely mugged.

On the 17th December, our family had booked online to eat here before an 8pm performance at the nearby Normansfield theatre . We received a booking confirmation number with specific reference to our one vegan diner but when we arrived, despite the lights being on, the place was empty and there was a note stuck to the door saying “we are closed” This may have been due to an emergency and if so we hope all is ok with the owners but we did not receive any notification and had to walk the streets to find another restaurant that could accommodate us in time without a booking.

Absolutely delicious! We were dubious because of the low score reviews but our expectations were more than exceeded and they must be old. Fabulous food and fabulous service, I’ve lived near Clapham Junction for 3 years and only ventured here after looking for a good French restaurant as it’s my mums favourite cuisine. Oh my god it was delicious, I had the steak bavette and it was so rich and tasty, my sister had the moules frites and devoured it. Mum had the chicken and throughly enjoyed it. All in all a fab experience and it genuinely feels like a restaurant that should be busier. You’ll see from my profile that I never leave reviews, but this was so fab that I felt like I had to! We will be back!

The place is tired, don't waste your time and money. The manager need to learn some manners Neil is nothing but an little man who should never be in hospitality. He thinks he works for the police. I've never met anyone so rude. The local people are right. The menue is dated and no one seems to care. Another hotel which needs a new owner and needs to invest.

Disappointing, ordered avocado on toast. The portion was small, two tiny pieces for 8 pounds - wow! I live in Switzerland and I am used to higher prices, this seems a real tourist rip off though. No value for price. I saw people being surprised about the portion size. French toast with the smallest piece of bacon. Still hungry i ordered the Granola - with Greek Joghurt. From bad to worse, literally a bowl of granola with a teaspoon of yoghurt - definitely not the expected hreek-style yoghurt, a very cheap alternative, any a tiny big of cherry compote for a steep 7 pounds. Dont recommend - they rely on people coming in once after visiting St Paul’s / area.

We lunched with friends and had very good food and service. All at a very reasonable cost for the centre of London. I got an email after booking to say we could be restricted in time at the table. As we were meeting friends from overseas, I queried this possibility and was assured we could take our time. Pleased I did this as we nearly went elsewhere...!
