Came last year for our first date and then back for our 1 year anniversary. Just as good as the first time xx

Great food , not so great atmoshpere , unwelcoming staff. Food was great- staff were not welcoming, felt some animocity and made us feel uncomfortable, get the sesne they want you in and out as fast as possible - the enviroment also isnt the best over crowded. Also they added 2 things to the bill we didnt order, luckily i read the reciept before we paid.

Meat slices are too small, it's too noisy inside

Good food but really atrocious service (the worst I've seen in a while tbh). The waitress was very rude after I asked for the steak to be cooked slightly more. I wouldn't normally say anything but I'd asked for medium and it was close to blue.

Never gets boring, this meal is so comforting & satisfying. I hate the waiting & queue but it’s so worth it. Service isn’t always the best or friendliest but it’s alright

The queue is the novelty of the place. I reckon if there was no 40 minute queue, it may dampen the experience and fun!!! Yes please take note, they don’t do reservations for snotty people like me, so don’t be shocked. There’s a structured triple line queue that you need to respect. Don’t be an unstructured rebel and cut the line. You will find it becomes an unnecessary fame later which will spoil your dining experience There’s no aged beef, no fancy cuts, no T bone. Just entrecote aka ribeye You will only be asked on doneness which is well done or medium. There’s no mid doneness like mediun rare. Again, snotty people like me take heed so we don’t feel like our voices are not heard. It’s the rules of the game I absolutely loved the experience. Is the beef the best in my life? Far from it! But the whole fun make the dining experience something i will do it all over again and sacrifice my snottiness

After queueing for one hour and a half, we got seated in a freezing cold area as cold wind was blowing instead of the heating. Our steak came and it looked like someone had eaten the good middle part and gave us the sides. The table next to us with French man had great slices. The lettuce salad was dead looking!! Felt really disappointed as the restaurant in Paris is stunning and the food is beautiful. Wouldn’t go back.

A friend treated me today, she had recently been to the Toulouse restaurant. It was great. Such a simple concept and all delicious service is like clockwork. We'll be back.

The food is quite good, in my opinion, they use too much mustard here, which the taste of the meat and salad too sharp. In their other branch and in Paris, the flavors are much softer when we mention this. Of course, it’s not the same as the one in Paris, but still. Also, the staff are very busy, so they move very quickly, and it gets noisy. Other than that, everything is great.

We waited soooo long but worth it. So delicious and fast service. It definitely worth the price which is not much compare to regular restaurants in London. Kesinlikle tavsiyedir

Simple, affordable and tasty. Highly recommend. No wonder there’s always a queue around the building. - allow at least an hour before it opens to get in when the doors open.

Fantastic steak( small in size)and fries, Fantastic walnut salad, Poor quality bread, Tables are too close, Long queue to enter, They want you out and replaced ASAP which is poor customer service in my opinion, You get wine included in the set price but it was terrible so we sent it back and payed extra for a bottle of our chosing, They give you second helping and to be honest the steak was perfectly cooked and decent fries 😀 Only bad experience was the queue jumping by rude ignorant people who pretend they don't know what they are doing, For this reason I will never return

No reservations. 35 minute wait on a Monday afternoon so dress warm, but worth it. For 31 pounds the portions are a bit small, and there is no option for medium rare. The tables are a bit too close to each other, only a couple inches of spacing. And the restuarant is very loud. But I personally like the concept and the vibe and will be going back in the future.

The food was great but unfortunately the service was bad and the waitres is so rude! she took my friend plate and she wasn’t finished yet ! Her alibi that the restaurant close at 2:30 and we’ve been there only for an hour

Hugely overrated and average steak and poor customer service

This was absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. We waited in the line for two hours (which is expected and fine) and right after sitting down a man becomes ill and vomits all over me. The restaurant proceeds to do absolutely NOTHING to help us. They did not check on me in the bathroom. They did not ask if I was okay. When I asked to not pay for my meal (as I did not have an appetite and did not eat much) they completely gaslighted me into thinking I had eaten more. They rolled their eyes, talked down to us, and were overall so rude. You should NEVER come here.

Not for me, the chips are crunchy and dry and the steak tough. The dessert was riddled with sugar to the point where I couldn’t taste anything else. Go for the experience but not the flavours.

The size of the menu is misleading in the photo. Yes, you get 2 plates for the price of 1, but the meat slices are very small and thin. The French fries are relatively a bit too oily. 2 people + 1 bottle of wine + service fee is around 100 GBP. If you're wondering, it's ok, but for me personally I have experienced better meat restaurants. By the way, if you are sensitive to crowds and noise, I would not recommend it because there is a lot of noise inside.

I've never queued for a meal, but it was worth it. Get there early and avoid disappointment, Steak cooked to perfection

We thought we'd stick out the hour and a half queue on a wet Saturday evening to find out what the fuss was about. We arrived at 5.45pm and ended up queuing for just under two hours to get a table. The food itself was pretty nice and you get two servings of the main, which we didn't realise to begin with. The puddings were fine but not as great as we had hoped. The service was alright but it's clear the staff are rushed off their feet trying to get through so many customers. All in all the experience was fine - but was it worth the almost two hour wait? No.

Would go again. The waitress seemed to enjoy aping French service Stereotyoes.

You get 2 big plates of mountains of chips with 5 bites of tastless low quality meat. Their signature sauce is greasy and fishy. The creme brulee is frozen and doughy. Overpriced and overrated

10/10 service! Staff are friendly and food is amazing! One of my favourite places to dine. I highly recommend this experience and the food is so tasty, I travel from Birmingham or make sure if I’m staying in London I always visit.

Have been to l'entrecôte in France previously. Same vibe, no reservations, same menu and set-up. I don't remember the starter salad being so mustard-y. Would love to see them put the dressing on the side, or a selection of options, so you can adjust to your preferences. The steak and the secret sauce were amazing, as always! The fries were overcooked in my opinion. Felt rushed out the door, quick turnaround! But that is to be expected.

Went later afternoon during the week. The food was overall decent, will recommend to visit at least once for a try.

I mean the food is good. Will I ever again join an hour+ long queue for what they offer? No

The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, so we waited nearly an hour in line, unfortunately in the rain. No one offered assistance to customers waiting outside, and the staff member managing the line was rude, even shouting at a customer for not finding the queue entrance right away. Inside, the restaurant is extremely crowded, which affects the experience. It also took a long time to receive a simple bottle of tap water. While the beef and chips are served twice, making the meal filling, the quality felt average, similar to what you’d find elsewhere. Overall, the wait and crowded setting didn’t feel worth it.

Outstanding and one thing not good long queue.

Food was comforting, exactly what we were looking for in a "french" and speedy establishment. We have visited the ones in Paris on multiple occasions and definitely is nice to find the same essence in another country, even if it's more expensive. Wonderful service by Anna, our waitress, who just started at the Relais but gave us a great experience!

Brilant service . Enjoyed it very much . The steak was made with perfection . We realised our meal . The salad was awesome and so was the fries .

A truly disappointing visit to one of my favourite establishments. My second time visiting the London restaurant and both times have been extremely poor. Service is terrible, everyone working seems truly miserable, we had to ask for our wine twice (which came after the food), had to ask for our water twice, and the bill was put down without a single word spoken by the waitress, without my request I might add, and before our dessert was finished which I found to be very rude. Additionally, it seems standard practise to ask a guest how their meal and experience was before taking payment, something that also didn’t happen. Upon standing up to leave, a waitress squeezes past me to begin clearing our table, while we are still standing at the table putting our coats on, which dumbfounded me. They also seemed incapable of restocking toilet paper in the loos, both ladies and gents, there wasn’t any when we first came in, and there wasn’t any when we left, which is comical as I had let the team know about the situation earlier in the night. A smaller issue was the brightness in the room, somebody must have forgotten to dim the lights because it felt like daytime at 10pm.. Aside from that, the food was underwhelming, the rare steak I ordered was medium, the chips were soggy and disappointing, and the portions seemed stingy. On a positive note, the crème brûlée was fantastic. I have been to entrecôte in 5 countries, and my only negative experiences have come from the London branches. I visit the one in Geneva many times in the year, always a pleasure going back. I urge the management team to take a long hard look at the experience they are proving for guests, from food to service, because I will not be returning for a long time, which is a bummer. I have even heard from other people that the London entrecôte’s are the worst in the world. Lastly, I must mention the man handling the queues outside was great, he was friendly and polite and seemed to have been doing a great job so props to him.

We arrived at midday, on a Monday , there was a small queue but quickly we were inside and greeted by one of the waitresses, a green leaf walnut salad for starters, and a mouthwatering sliced beef steak with french fries. The attentive waitress soon topped our plates up with more! We stayed for sweets, I had the Raspberry Sorbet , top tasty marks for that too. Glad we went and I may return as it was that good.

Went here for lunch and there was already a queue even before they open at 12 noon. Tip: Come early before opening time. The food was reasonably price and good. They do serve the food immediately and for the mains they'll the steak and fries x2 (be prepared 😁). The profiterole was so delectable paired with dessert wine 😊

Amazing place for steak and chips you start off with a salad with walnuts and then go on to your steak that’s perfectly cooked. I went for the rare cooking amazingly perfect and it’s drenched in a lovely peppercorn sauce. You can add some French mustard salt and pepper condiments if if you like to fries A couple next to me seem to be on a date after finishing their meal, we asked by the server if they’d like a desert so impressed with the main meal that they opted to have another one instead of a dessert that’s how good it is Tried to get here early to avoid queueing outside. I got here on a Sunday at 12:10 and it was ready full

We were the last to be admitted and then treated like we were an inconvenience and rushed through our meal. Drinks glasses cleared, bright light put on full, rudeness from the waiting staff. It’s expensive for what it is, although the food is nice , but the experience was spoiled by being treated so badly. If you go, go well before last entry.

I rarely write reviews for london restaurants, however, I felt it necessary to write this, this restaurants really reached a 10 out of 10, the staff were exceptionally amazing, so happy, smiling, attentive. Plus, the food was perfect and plentiful. It was so extra good that I had to call the manager over to complaintment her on her first class staff and food. Monica, the manager was so absolutely lovely and so attentive, what an amazing manager. I wrote this because i am so fussy nothing is never quite right, especially in london but this restaurant utterly deserves a 10 out 10 in all aspects. A must visit for london marylebone.

Excellent food and excellent super efficient service, you can't make a reservation and you have to wait in the queue I advise going there of peak hours with a short cue. Even the question is longish its definitely worth the wait, you will not get better food around there

Great, I went to Paris, but the waiting time was 2-3 hours . Here just 30 min and great service.

About a 45 min to an hour wait on a Wednesday evening at 6pm! Sheesh! Restaurant had good ambience but you will be rushed to leave the restaurant as soon as you put down your fork after you are done eating. It is busy and with a huge queue of people waiting outside I understand haha but it definitely felt a bit pushy. The sauce, steak and fries were good but the quantity of steak wasn’t huge I would say.

Love love love this restaurant… the food is always good, you know what you are getting and staff very friendly. House wine is also great. This is one of my top 5 favourite restaurants in London

Food is really good, the steak is always flavourful and the sauce is amazing. There is no menu, you get to choose how cooked you’d like your steak and fries and salad come with. They don’t take reservations so come early to avoid disappointment or standing in a long queue. That is the only downsides, the waiting and the staff can rush you as they are so in demand, which affects the experience a little. Ambiance is typical French restaurant, classical instrumental background music mostly overtaken by everyone chatting.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, This is way OVERRATED, The wait time is stand in the cold for 2 hours in a outside “FREEZING” Que, when arriving the security guard out side will try and insist that the wait is 30-40 mins but the wait is more like 2 hours with two separate lines the first half of the line is 1 hour then you cross over to the second half of the line with another hour wait before getting inside, once you enter the staff is rushing you and are very impolite, if you have kids this is a no go zone as the price is 31£ per seat with no option for a kids alternative, there was kids buggy’s in the kitchen as the room as room is very very tight, yes once inside the staff is rushing you and any questions you will ask you have no response you will just get ignored the service is horrendous and very irresponsible after standing out side for a very long time and with the cold still embedded in your spine you are greeted with sit there they count the heads and just bring the food to your table, the portions of meat you get would be like a 5oz steak cut in half, 5 thin cut slices of meat loaded with a extra large fries and like a gravy style sauce on top, Oh yes they do come once you finished the first serving of food and give you the other half of your 5oz steak cut in 3 more thin slices and load you again with a smaller amount of fries, can I say it was a experience yes but would I do it again not if the meal was for free, we can get carried away with social media and viral videos but this is the most over rated and arrogant and ignorant service you will ever have to pay for, Fast food chains for a meal of £5 say have staff that will say please, thank you and give you a smile, the staffs job is to get you in and out as fast as possible to get customers in the door as every head that’s out side in the queue is all £31 each, I’m not writing this review to put people off I’m just being as honest as I can, the food was average it was very edible and can’t say it want nice it was but you would have to be crazy to do this I wish I could of read a honest review before losing 3 hrs of my life.

Dogfood. We were intrigued by the long lines and so decided to try it out. We assumed it must be due to great meat and value but it was closer to dogfood. After a few bites of the first serving, we left and ate a nice fish dinner across the street. This is a must STAY AWAY. The place is in one of the great areas of London but serves the lowest cut of meat. Yes it’s all you can eat but literally it is not eatable.

Be prepared to wait a little but the Steak is worth it! Got to the Restaurant around 8.45pm (on a Wednesday) & noticed a line that went a little around the corner and was tempted to not hang around but was then told by the Security that it moves pretty quick - FYI - my wait was about 25min which really wasn't bad given the food that I was about to consume! The line was non-existent when I got done so if you're flexible, go post normal busy hours... The Steak + sauce was totally worth it and the house Red 🍷 (a Bordeaux) was really nice too. Service really depends on who serves you as I got lucky with a sweet server but you're not going to get a smile out of most of them! Feel free to ask for extra sauce for the 2 rounds of Steak you get with the unlimited fries...It's a meal I would go back for! I like the the nice change of no time spent on Menus and looking at what to order too.

Really nice french fries. I would say it's like McDonald's on steroid. We tried this chain in Bordeaux France and it's totally different, Bordeaux was better than London with service and the taste. Staff was busy looks tired, we never get desert menu, they give us salad in 5 second from we get the table and first tiny portions of chips and steak,second portion arrived few mins later but pressure to leave the table was unbelievable , qué was long but it doesn't matter when you leave 150 pounds for 30 mins.

A restaurant that was recommended to us and that we recommend in turn. Fixed menu with salad as a starter and entrecote with chips and salsa, with replacement. Drinks aside. Tables very close together but nice atmosphere, trained and welcoming staff. Elegant neighborhood.

Went last Sunday, fairly long queue on arrival but moved really quickly. Love this place, it’s authentic, love the atmosphere it’s totally bustling with activity. Food was out of this world delicious, green walnut salad with mustard dressing gorgeous and the blue steak, frites and sauce were divine. Absolutely delicious. Would recommend 100%. Amazing!

Waited for over an hour outside to try this place but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The taste and smell of mustard completely overpowered the steak sauce, and the fries were underwhelming. Also the seating is really cramped inside which doesn’t add to the experience. Two stars as the steak was tender and are provided two portions

Downgraded following recent visit: We have been coming here for years and the simple straightforward food is amazing. However, I was aware of the weekday queues which were longish, but the Saturday evening queue yesterday at 6.16pm was just ridiculous. To the extent that there were 2 or 3 security guards managing the queue that was in two separate bit; a continuation of the queue as long as the original queue was round the corner and out of view. Consequently, voted with our feet and went somewhere else. It is getting ridiculous, do SOMETHING.

The place is nice, but the tables are really close to each other. Fries are awesome and you get them twice, so the steak. To me, the sauce kills the steak: a strong flavour of anchovies overpowers the flavour of the steak.

Just go for food and don’t expect service, rude manager

If you like steak and chips, you'll love this place. The main course comes in two servings so everything's hot and fresh, the sauce complements the steak well and the beef fat fried chips are way better than seed oil fried chips.

This place is abit overpriced for the whole experience, the tables are really close to each other, the price is a bit higher than similar places and you get the feeling that you need to finish your plate and leave. Will I go back there, probably yes BUT it wouldn't be my first or second or third choice.

A hard one to review - the food was really delicious. The main course is very small but they do then give you a small second portion, so you feel like you’re getting extra but really just a normal sized portion if combined. But the salad, steak & chips with sauce was truly delicious. The service, however, was starkly contrasting to the food experience, in that we felt immensely rushed and not at all cared for. The waitress didn’t even pour one of us some of the bottle of wine we ordered, and then made us feel like we needed to leave as soon as possible. Don’t serve a bottle of wine if you’re not allowed time to finish it! All in all it was nice food but the experience was slightly ruined.

At 6:40, waited in the queue for 5 minutes before we were ushered in and seated, and asked how we liked our steaks - have a choice of well done, medium or rare. Wasn't allowed to pick medium rare. My steak was served perfectly rare. Service was efficient, and no lingering but they also didn't rush us out. 2 meals, 2 glasses of house red, and 2 desserts was almost a hundred. Prices have gone up considerably since the last time I was here 7 years ago, according to my Google timeline. Dessert (chocolate vacherin du relais) was a show stopper. By the time we left an hour later, the queue had gone around the corner.

Never disappoints, watch out from the long queue

This is such a straightforward experience but such an enjoyable one. We have enjoyed Le Relais in Geneva and this lived up to our expectations. The staff were charming and the food excellent. I could enjoy this any time!

Not as good as the one in Paris for the quality of meat and the atmosphere. The fact that it’s super busy and there is always a long queue outside, makes the experience inside very hectic as if they want to get rid of you asap as they have other clients outside. Therefore the meat came cold inside as if it was pre cooked of course. In general the sauce remains their main point of strength.

Food was bland, not like at Paris at all! Service was okay but I would say not hygienic. The place was too cramped and too rowdy for my taste. Expensive.

Live the place Take a taxi or an Uber, need to walk if you take public transport. Go for the steak (medium) & fries Don’t forget the profiterole. Definitely recommend

if you want a “quiet easy” evening place is mot for you as it is crowded and noisy, waitresses are really good at their job and trying to do the service fastly as much as the grounds let them(can be crowded and tables might occupy their lanes) food is alright but the second serving of the entrecote was cold, salad was good, nicely sauced and crunchy.

Honestly a very average place. There was nothing remarkable about the steak or fries except that you got two portions. I didn't like the salad as well (was not aware there would be mustard). However huge respect to the waitresses for cooking (?) and serving while staying friendly and professional.

Seriously yum. Came on a Saturday and there was a queue, took about 15 minutes to be seated (also be aware that the whole party needs to be there to be seated). Small tables and you are close to other people but worth it for the food. Rare steak and chips, delicious! Deffo worth a visit and reasonable pricing too!

Very overrated. Bland steak, mediocre wine. Salad was good. Could legit get better fries at McDonald’s. Really not worth the queue - basically a tourist trap.

We waited 1.5hrs to be seated (arrived at 6pm). The food was overall enjoyable, and very affordable, but the tables are literally on top of each other and I think the long wait really took away from the enjoyment of the meal. Had the restaurant had a booking service, I’d go back again but it’s not worth the wait time in my opinion.

Only one decision to make when ordering your main, how do you want your steak? No other options and no menu. Our steak was cooked perfectly, we were not keen on the sauce they provide. Chips were ok but we have had better. Decent value for that part of London

The food here is very delicious (although the "2nd" portion of steak feels more like topping up the first to a normal size). The queues however are crazy and I'd question whether it's really worth standing in them. Service staff seem frazzled but were basically nice.

I recently visited this restaurant after an 8 year gap. I had fond memories of this wonderful restaurant and was so eager to go back. Whilst the food is still great, the service was appalling to the point where I may never go back. This restaurant is trying to maximise profit with a model of getting people to queue and the churning over tables as quickly as possible. This is usually fine, until you make your customer feel unwanted. After queuing for over an hour, we finally got in. We were given our salad almost immediately then as soon as we finished the salad, the steaks came out immediately. No space to breathe. After we enjoyed our meals, my partner went to the toilet. I waited at the table. At this point the waitress came and told me that I must go and wait outside. We spent less time within the restaurant than we spent queuing, and yet the waitress didn’t have the patience wait until I leave before churning the table. My partner was back within a few minutes. I get their businesses model, but this obsessive rush to get people out as quickly as possible is extremely unsettling. As a result, I may never go again which is a real shame.

There was a barbaric security man outside the store to organize the queue to order, so I left the place due to bad behavior

Food was what you expect from Entrecote. Straight forward menu, wholesome, tasty. Hard to go wrong. However, we had the worse server. She was outright rude. When I politely asked her to repeat something she said (She had a strong accent), she rolled her eyes and repeated in a loud and condescending voice while looking at her notepad. After I finished my salad, I placed my cutlery on top of the salad plate. She picked up the salad plate and tip/dumped the cutlery off onto the table along with the remaining salad dressing. When I was walking back from the toilet along the narrow aisles between the tables, she would walk straight into me forcing me to give way. Seriously one of the worse service I ever received in any restaurant.

It's busy, we needed to queue, but the steak and chips are good.

Unfortunately we had to queue not the short queue no the long queue around the corner, happily we did not have to wait long and the security guards make sure everything is okay. There are no menus here it’s just salad leaves and walnut starter and steak chips with an amazing sauce. We also had a couple of beers and a bottle of wine. Oh please note when you ask for water make sure you say tap water check the price of the water. The service is fast they want you out quick but we weren’t rushed there was always a queue while we were there. I was very pleased because it’s almost the same as the French restaurant in Toulouse and not so far to go. Overall excellent food and a great experience. The only negative is the toilets are down stairs and two ladies and one gentleman’s not good with so many customers. Definitely one meal I enjoyed and I will be back.

If I could give less than one star, I would. The staff was extremely rude, and the manager was especially unprofessional. I went to the restaurant with my elderly mother, who cannot stand for long periods. I politely asked for a chair for her to sit on while we waited in line, but the manager refused. She even forced my mother to either stand or leave, despite the fact that we were waiting for our turn and my mother was just tired and needed to sit down. This behavior was completely unacceptable and extremely rude !!!!!!!!!!

Won’t let you in even if one person is not present, despite the only sign stating this being inside and out of view. Queued for an hour and not once did anyone state this fact only once they open.

Steak and chips is pretty tasty. However it’s not unlimited. They serve you two half portions of steak in two goes and never come back. Also the desserts were very disappointing. They’ve clearly taken shortcuts such as the lemon tart - a pre-baked shell with lemon curd spooned in last minute. The creme brulee is just a pre made custard with burnt sugar, not an actual creme brulee and the profiteroles are not fresh - they’re frozen and then just drowned in hot chocolate last minute to de-frost them. Glad I went once, would not go again.

Place was packed ten minutes after opening. Luckily we were able to get a table without waiting. Salad was tasty, Steak and fries were class for a fair price.

It was amazing i really recommend it
