A hard one to review - the food was really delicious. The main course is very small but they do then give you a small second portion, so you feel like you’re getting extra but really just a normal sized portion if combined. But the salad, steak & chips with sauce was truly delicious. The service, however, was starkly contrasting to the food experience, in that we felt immensely rushed and not at all cared for. The waitress didn’t even pour one of us some of the bottle of wine we ordered, and then made us feel like we needed to leave as soon as possible. Don’t serve a bottle of wine if you’re not allowed time to finish it! All in all it was nice food but the experience was slightly ruined.

Only one decision to make when ordering your main, how do you want your steak? No other options and no menu. Our steak was cooked perfectly, we were not keen on the sauce they provide. Chips were ok but we have had better. Decent value for that part of London

I recently visited this restaurant after an 8 year gap. I had fond memories of this wonderful restaurant and was so eager to go back. Whilst the food is still great, the service was appalling to the point where I may never go back. This restaurant is trying to maximise profit with a model of getting people to queue and the churning over tables as quickly as possible. This is usually fine, until you make your customer feel unwanted. After queuing for over an hour, we finally got in. We were given our salad almost immediately then as soon as we finished the salad, the steaks came out immediately. No space to breathe. After we enjoyed our meals, my partner went to the toilet. I waited at the table. At this point the waitress came and told me that I must go and wait outside. We spent less time within the restaurant than we spent queuing, and yet the waitress didn’t have the patience wait until I leave before churning the table. My partner was back within a few minutes. I get their businesses model, but this obsessive rush to get people out as quickly as possible is extremely unsettling. As a result, I may never go again which is a real shame.

Food was what you expect from Entrecote. Straight forward menu, wholesome, tasty. Hard to go wrong. However, we had the worse server. She was outright rude. When I politely asked her to repeat something she said (She had a strong accent), she rolled her eyes and repeated in a loud and condescending voice while looking at her notepad. After I finished my salad, I placed my cutlery on top of the salad plate. She picked up the salad plate and tip/dumped the cutlery off onto the table along with the remaining salad dressing. When I was walking back from the toilet along the narrow aisles between the tables, she would walk straight into me forcing me to give way. Seriously one of the worse service I ever received in any restaurant.

Unfortunately we had to queue not the short queue no the long queue around the corner, happily we did not have to wait long and the security guards make sure everything is okay. There are no menus here it’s just salad leaves and walnut starter and steak chips with an amazing sauce. We also had a couple of beers and a bottle of wine. Oh please note when you ask for water make sure you say tap water check the price of the water. The service is fast they want you out quick but we weren’t rushed there was always a queue while we were there. I was very pleased because it’s almost the same as the French restaurant in Toulouse and not so far to go. Overall excellent food and a great experience. The only negative is the toilets are down stairs and two ladies and one gentleman’s not good with so many customers. Definitely one meal I enjoyed and I will be back.

If I could give less than one star, I would. The staff was extremely rude, and the manager was especially unprofessional. I went to the restaurant with my elderly mother, who cannot stand for long periods. I politely asked for a chair for her to sit on while we waited in line, but the manager refused. She even forced my mother to either stand or leave, despite the fact that we were waiting for our turn and my mother was just tired and needed to sit down. This behavior was completely unacceptable and extremely rude !!!!!!!!!!

Steak and chips is pretty tasty. However it’s not unlimited. They serve you two half portions of steak in two goes and never come back. Also the desserts were very disappointing. They’ve clearly taken shortcuts such as the lemon tart - a pre-baked shell with lemon curd spooned in last minute. The creme brulee is just a pre made custard with burnt sugar, not an actual creme brulee and the profiteroles are not fresh - they’re frozen and then just drowned in hot chocolate last minute to de-frost them. Glad I went once, would not go again.

Was delighted to go back to entrecôte after many years and see the sauce and chips and staff were still the same style. The steak portion size however seems to have decreased, even when they bring you “seconds” it defi feels like a smaller meal which is a shame. The atmosphere here is busy but good. You will most likely wait in a line. Depending on how many seats you need will dictate your wait. You will then immediately be served by the waitress (all dressed in matronly uniforms). You will be very tightly seated near other tables. This means your conversations will not be private. You may need to physically move the table to give yourself space to fit in the chair. For larger people, this might be uncomfortable. The food is lovely and very tasty. I would recommend. The salad is nice. You are given a second serving of the steaks and chips and sauce. There are toilets which are perfectly pleasant.

It's just so happened meeting up my cousin and her husband for dinner in London while they visited England. They loved steak, I loved steak, and my sister also a steak lover. So the question was, where? While using Google Maps, I came across this familiar name, which I had a wonderful experience in Paris. My flight was delayed. By the time we got there, there was a line down the block. Thank goodness we got a table within 30 minutes. Our waitress, her service was on point, no nonsense, and very professional. We ordered a bottle of their house red and it was surprisingly delicious. The steak was cooked to the right temperature. The sauce, oh! the sauce! We just love love love it. It seems to go well with the fries, too. Since we have a party of 4, we were able to try out, 3 of their desserts, and they were very well done, not too sweet and not too heavy. We loved the experience, and we'll be back.

We have lovely red Bordeaux wine. But after an hour and a half we were told our meal is done and we need to leave the restaurant. We had just poured a glass of wine each. We said ok and started to end off the night but subsequently had 3 other waitresses tell us to leave. We said sure we just need to finish the wine and they said we needed to leave. I was also told that 1h30 is all we get. Well it is not on their website or anywhere at no time were we told to gobble the food and chug the wine and leave. They spoilt our time there completely. So disappointing and so very rude. We will not be returning - rather go to Gauchos. Probably a better steak

Service was also super rushed considering the amount of time you had to wait to get a table. It was hard to even get a drink as staff seemed like they didn't really have time for us. Also, the "2 servings" of steak and chips is just your 1 steak served to you in two separate times, and is just kept warm on the side for you. The consistency and excellence of both the food and service are unparalleled, making every return visit feel like a delightful culinary ritual. From the moment you walk through the door, the warm and inviting ambiance envelops you, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal. The simplicity of the menu, focused on their legendary steak-frites, is a testament to their commitment to perfection. The steak is always cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, complemented by their signature secret sauce that elevates the dish to new heights. The accompanying crispy, golden fries are the perfect side, and they never fail to leave me craving more. One of the aspects that sets “Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecôte” apart is the impeccable service. The staff is consistently attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that your dining experience is seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. They have a remarkable ability to make you feel like a valued guest, whether it’s your first visit or your tenth. By now, everyone knows the deal. You’re seated and the server asks the table how you like your steak, before scribbling something on the paper tablecloth. A salad is unceremoniously placed in front of you along with some bread. This is all building up to the main event, you know what’s coming so you wolf down your salad - whether you like it or not, because you know something good is coming. You’re served four/five slices of perfectly cooked steak from a serving tray and a heap of chips all smothered in their special sauce. You know there’s more coming, but you still anticipate it, wondering whether they may have forgotten or they stopped their legendary ritual. Just as you begin to lose all hope, a server arrives with a second helping, and the world is alright again. We were all too full and couldn’t finish the second plate, so no sweet treat was ordered. Time for some honesty, the steak is very good, it’s not the best steak you’ll have. The chips are good, they’re not the best. But that sauce is addictive, you’ll find yourself begging for more as you try to decipher the ingredients. The atmosphere is good if you’re with a group of people you know, it is very tight in there. The chairs are uncomfortable. All designed to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

Steak cooked perfectly alongside some gorgeous French fries along with a walnut salad. The restaurant is a little bit like stepping back in time. It was a lovely experience with great food. The desserts are pretty mind blowing too. I totally understand why there is always a queue to get in and I would highly recommend

He said that the shop is famous here. The original Framce branch has branches in 3 countries. The origin is from France. The whole shop serves a single menu, Steak Frites. No need to order, we'll serve it ourselves. And there are branches in London, New York, Mexico. When you arrive, you have to wait in line. Because there are a lot of people But the management is good, don't wait long. Once you get a table, you don't have to order food. Choose only the doneness of the meat. There are only 2 levels of medium & blue. and ordered enough drinks Then you can wait to be served. 1 set price 31 pounds + another 12.5% includes vegetable salad, bread and 1 plate of meat with French fries. Meat pieces count approximately 7-8 pieces per 1 serving and can be added. Beef + French fries 1 time If it is exchanged for Thai money in the range of 1 pound 47 baht, it will cost 1,640 baht per person, which is considered a problem. Let's move on to the taste. Walnut Salad The salad dressing looks like it's mixed with wasabi. It's pungent and spicy, but delicious. •Bread dipped in salad dressing is delicious. •Steak with French fries, ordered medium, good texture, not tough. But what's strange is the sauce that's poured on it. It has a strange sourness. If our house might be damaged There are 3 people, parents and children, only one child likes it. Because he wanted to come try and find out. But Mom and Dad thought the sauce was rather strange. It might just not be right. If you look at it from the perspective of the money spent on food, you'll know. But again, think a lot.

Waited a while before opening, the two of us had very little wait to get in and service was snappy. We had the walnut salad and bread, steak, chips and the famous green sauce. So tasty great atmosphere would recommend and would definitely come back again 🥰

There had been mixed reviews about the service, surprisingly we had Magdalene looking after us and she was pleasant. Not rude at all. A bit pricey, it was four of us, had a small bottle of wine and a dessert. To be honest, was it worth £170 incl. service? Well, yea and no. If you’ve never been, you should. Once you’ve been, it won’t become your go to place, maybe once every few months, or six maybe more.

Hour long wait but the food was worth it. Didn’t give it 5 stars because the raspberry vacherin was too sweet and not that good. It was really cramped inside where they seemed to squish as many tables in it as possible which made it difficult to even get into our seat or walk. Also tried to get water many times but couldn’t.

The reason for my rating is a few things, first of we waited nearly an hour outside, second the fires are frozen sauce okay same with the steak third very squashed in fourth there are many other places I feel in London that are better and cheaper like flatiron or if you want that next level high steak there are those too Just not worth the money or hype

I don't know what the hype is with the restaurant. We had to wait almost an hour. Per person you have to spend over £30 for what. Firstly the salad, it was so bad that after one bite I couldn't eat anymore, the sauce was more bad and bitter it was unbearable. Next was the thinly sliced steak with the worst fries that I have ever eaten to date. You can taste how bad they were. The steak was ok but not worst the wait or money. They don't have any good sauces. You can two portions of serving. I would not recommend this to anyone. Food: 1/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5

No butter with bread in a French restaurant! The meat has always been good but now it’s much tougher. The waitress didn’t clear away the salad before plonking down the steak and I was only half way through when she plonked down the second serving on top of what I was eating. It’s now become manic, getting you in and out as quickly as possible. At £50 ahead with a mediocre bottle of wine I expect a less frantic more enjoyable meal experience.

I recently dined at Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte in Marylebone and had a great experience overall. While the wait time was around 40 minutes due to their no-reservations policy, it was definitely worth it. The food was excellent – the walnut salad and the steak with their famous sauce were both delicious. I particularly appreciated the second serving of steak and fries, which was a nice touch. The service was efficient, though a bit rushed, as they were trying to turn tables quickly. The staff was generally friendly, but there were moments when they seemed a bit stressed. The portion sizes were a bit small, but the quality of the food made up for it. Overall, if you’re willing to wait, Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte offers a unique and tasty dining experience that is worth a visit.

Not worth the long 40 min queue. Squashed tables, super rushed waiters, didn’t even want to bring us the menu. Had to ask for salt & pepper 3 times. Meat portion was tiny - even the 2nd round was just 2 strips, not a second serving. Much better steak elsewhere for 35 pounds, and better service. Don’t recommend

Awesome steak frites! Come a bit before they open to get in the first seating. You'll get asked how you want your steak cooked (only well/medium/rare, nothing in between!) and what you want to drink, and that's it! Come hungry so you can finish your second helpings!

The steak portions have gotten really small and the prices have gone up so they fill you up with fries. Also the service has declined. The waitresses are really nice but they're really over worked. Feels like management just wants you to get out asap for the next round of people.

If you’re willing to brave a queue, this restaurant is absolutely worth the wait. From the outset, the simplicity of the bread and salad impressed me, they were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the steak and fries, accompanied by a superb sauce. The steak was tender and bursting with flavor, and the sauce expertly tied everything together with the fries. For dessert, the creme brulee was a showstopper, with its creamy texture and perfectly caramelized top. In addition to the excellent food, the restaurant's setup and vibe are fantastic. The ambiance transports you back in time in the best possible way, adding a unique and charming touch to the dining experience.

We were intrigued by the long lines and so decided to try it out. We assumed it must be due to great meat and value but it was closer to dogfood. After a few bites of the first serving, we left and ate a nice fish dinner across the street. This is a must STAY AWAY. The place is in one of the great areas of London but serves the lowest cut of meat. Yes it’s all you can eat but literally it is not eatable.

Been coming here for years, since 2008 at least. The food quality hasn’t changed, it’s perfectly reliable for being tasty and fresh. The queues are always long so make sure to arrive 30-40 mins before your desired dining time. There is no menu but with steak this good, do you really want anything else?

If you want excellent steak frites, this is the place. "Le Relais de Venise," together with its sister chain "Le Relais de L'Entrecote," exclusively specializes in this French delicacy. There are multiple units in France, the UK, and elsewhere. I'm a big fan!! But get there early because they don't accept reservations and the place is always packed.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Let me start out by saying I don’t normally write reviews but I would hate for someone else’s trip to be ruined because of this establishment. I booked this hotel because it was decently priced and seemed in a good location. This was a mother-daughter trip for my mom and I before I get married. To say we were disappointed in this hotel would be an understatement. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I normally stay at Marriotts, and I will never stay in another Hilton again because of this. We arrived late and upon check in we were told that the room I had booked (king room with park view) had a leak so the best they could do was give us a queen room and have us move in the morning. (Annoying, but we agreed after they agreed to give us a discounted price. This discounted price wasn’t even offered from the beginning, we had to ask.) So my mom and I went to dinner quickly across the street, and came back to our room in order to go to sleep. Upon pulling the sheets back we were greeted with strings of long hair all between the sheets. We then looked at the bathroom and there were used tissue on the floor, and trash in the shower. CLEARLY, our room was not even clean. The bare minimum you expect from a hotel. We phoned down to the reception, who informed the manager. The absolute best he could offer us were clean sheets for us to put on the bed ourselves. Sheets were brought up in a ball, and had stains on them. The pillows of the bed were completely stained once we removed the covers. The manager could not have been less concerned, and I was left completely disappointed with our first night in London. My mom was disgusted. If it had not been 11:30pm and we were not exhausted from traveling. We would have moved to another hotel right then and there. We made the management aware we were moving the next morning, they first tried to charge us a cancellation fee and for the full 3 nights we were originally booked. Completely unacceptable. The best they have offered me since we left was pointed credited to my Hilton Account, a waste since this was my last Hilton hotel I will stay in. If you are looking for a wonderful hotel, and a perfect London experience - PLEASE go to St. Ermin, a Marriott (2 Caxton). We had the absolute BEST service and best time, it completely made our trip. We were given a complimentary upgrade when we arrived because they felt so bad for us after hearing our story from this Hilton. This hotel would have completely ruined my mom’s first experience of London.
