I attended an event at La Fromagerie last night and Max and his team did an outstanding job of welcoming us. Their passion for their subject (cheese!) really shone through- every cheese had it’s own story, told enthusiastically. An amazing venue with amazing staff and, of course, amazing cheese! (And wine- may have had a glass or two of that as well!)

Am a regular of buying cheese from La Fromagerie. Reason I write this today is that was at Ducasse 3* a few weeks ago and was not impressed with their cheese board. Told them: go and buy yours at la Fromagerie. Quality stuff there. There is a guy, I call him David de Lyon, because his name is David and he is from Lyon. A few years ago, he said to me: try that cheese, it is excellent. I bought it and loved it. 2 years later, that cheese, an American cheese from Oregon! (pushed by a Frenchman!) won the World Cheese Championship! And it was served at the White House to the French President when he came to visit! So Hopefully, many high end restaurants in London will stop serving dull cheese and buy it from la Fromagerie. And hopefully, they will be smart enough to ask David de Lyon to select their cheese! That is what I do anyway!.

I had a lovely fromagerie cheeseboard for lunch with my sister , who was visiting from Holland. It was a beautifull warm sunny day so we had a table outside which was way too small and on a very precarious slope I thought my glass of wine was going to tip over . The cheese was great but it could have been better if they had explained which cheese was which and suggested a wine pairing to go with it . It was a pleasant experience, however quite costly. The shop inside was great maybe another time I will buy some cheese and take it home

When I tried to order online the website would not let me completete the order unless I paid £7 for postage, irerrespective of the amount purchased. This place is the kingdom of cheeses and any qualitative product. However I would like to add a comment on the restaurant side, having been now 3 times to really share a genuine experience. The food as said is amazing, such as the cheese board that change through time - a good way to try and purchase from their shop later. However when I order a French/ European board from la « Fromagerie » I expect bread and not crackers as we know European countries like Italy and France never eat cheese with crackers. I don’t expect also paying 4£ for 4 pieces of bread when I can go inside the same shop a buy a whole sourdough bread for 5£….bit ironic ! The staff seems fed up of their job, some don’t even know anything about the wines or share how to properly eat the cheese. I think they need to learn how to smile and show client service ! I keep the 5 stars because this shop is mainly to purchase products but a really effort could be done on the restaurant side.

💘 A Valentine's experience at La Fromagerie 💘 A flawless 5-course supper created and cooked by their head chef: this deserves the highest praise as every "act" was perfectly executed in cookery and presentation whilst being served alongside a thoughtful score of music by John Barry. I love food and my partner loves James Bond so this was a meal match made in heaven. The setting of the evening in the cheese shop was unexpectedly stunning and romantic. We were nestled amongst the artisan marmalades, crockery and ornaments, all lit by gentle candle light. Credit to the creative person who laid the table in such a pretty, pleasing way (see pictures). Every element of the night was beautifully thought out and delivered. ........ The only slight bitter taste in our mouth was the reaction of our lovely waitress who was vocally displeased with "only" a £10 thank-you tip from us. As we don't live in America and our waiting staff are paid properly here (I also work in a pub), I would think £10 for three hours of doing your job is a nice extra🙄 In any case, it is still a 10/10 overall as we thoroughly enjoyed our first ever valentine's night out together as a couple!

I've been buying cheese in the shop for many years and the range and quality is outstanding. The knowledge and helpfulness of the staff is amazing. This year I thought I'd order cheese online and collect from the shop. Selected the cheeses I wanted, selected the day for me to collect and made payment. Was told I'd receive an email when the cheese was ready for collection. All easily done, good website. I was in London anyway on the collection day and although I hadn't received an email I chanced my arm to go to the shop around midday. No luck, the cheese was still at the warehouse and no delivery expected until later the same afternoon. Fair enough. I came back into London on the following day, still no email confirmation received, and went to the shop in the late morning. The ordered cheese was ready for collection and off I went. So why am I not awarding five stars? Firstly I've still not had an email telling me that the cheese is ready for collection. The 'wait for an email' concept seems designed for folk who live in the W1 postcode who can walk to the shop in a few minutes. Us poor folk who need to travel from distant parts need something a bit more accurate when it comes to collection times. We can't sit around all day waiting for an email when the journey time to and from the shop is measured in hours rather than minutes. I'll still be buying cheese but in future will be doing that in person.

I recently moved into the neighbourhood a few months ago (I live about 5 mins away from here by walking) - I have religiously been buying the ravioli and in-house pesto every weekend (simply because it's really good) and the staff are usually incredibly kind and helpful. Today, however, I got asked by the staff member at the till whether my tote bag was empty or not, even AFTER I had laid everything I had intended to buy onto the counter (for reference, I dressed exactly as I usually do, and I have brought the same tote bag every single time). It was extremely insulting, and effectively ruined (what is usually) a routine part of my weekend. I am now hesitant to return here again, but if I do, I'll make sure I come with no bags (or heavy looking clothing) to avoid any further instances of shameless profiling.

This is a speciality cheese and grocery store with a cosy eating area, and is a real gem in the Marylebone area. The store has a good selection of cheese, wine, fruits, vegetables, jams, chutneys, breads, biscuits, olive oils and vinegar to name just a few! The brunch menu offers a great selection of eggs, avo on toast, bacon, croissants etc. The staff were very friendly once they got going although my welcome was a bit disappointing - "Hi, please may I have a table for brunch?" "We don't serve brunch for another 8 minutes". "Ok, may I sit at a table and look at the menu? Maybe order a drink?" (Turns round to colleague to check) " Yes ok then". Not the most gracious of welcomes! But my brunch was lovely and I followed it with a wander around the shop and a visit to the Marylebone Farmers Market. Nearest tube is Baker Street, and Moxon Street is a pretty side street just off Marylebone High Street. I would return.

(For the restaurant not the shop) Very mediocre and overpriced food and coffee. The avocado toast cost £10 for 1 piece of toast doused in way too much oil and avocado, no seasoning or other elements. It was honestly the most disappointing version of the dish I’ve ever had. The cappuccino was more like a latte and something I could get at costa, yet was priced higher than London’s great coffees. I never miss at least one meal at La Fromagerie when I come to London. The food is fresh. The ambiance is unparalleled in my home country. After all, the Barefoot Contessa chose this restaurant as one of the few she highlighted during her London tapings.

Cosy winter place with cheese fondu to keep you warm. It’s a coffee with few tables but the other side of it is a cheese room and they sell vegetables too. Worth going with a friend to sit, chill and enjoy the mood.

The staff wasn’t very welcoming and we were kicked out 20 mins before the place closed. We were charged £6 for a ramekin of chips with no dip. Cheese and wine selection were good.

had to wait about 15 minutes before seated on Friday around 12:30. the table is a bit small if you order more than three plates, and the space between tables are narrow too! but the food was amazing, especially the pumpkin tortellini with butter & sage sauce! (guess the menu changes daily cuz the date was written on the menu)

Used to be good. Now it’s a must avoid. 40 minute wait for starters, we ordered cold smoked salmon and a soup so not exactly difficult. After this, another 30 mins wait for mains. The sea bass was average at best with an undercooked center. The rigatoni was frankly disgusting and I didn’t eat it. The only upside was the waiter we had who was genuinely polite and sympathetic.

¿Tal vez el plato del año? Cena ayer. ¡Aquí no!

This place is unreliable. First lesson in commerce-if someone pays you for an item, you deliver it. Careless ‘service’.

My partner and I were very satisfied with our food (Pollo Fungi and Meatballs), garlic bread was to die for. Our waiter, Baba, was attentive and super polite. Super cozy place for a meal. I will definitely be back.

Came last year for our first date and then back for our 1 year anniversary. Just as good as the first time xx
