Stopped briefly for a quick lunch on our way to Hammersmith, and so glad we did! The baguettes look mouthwatering and are freshly made to some really unique combinations of fillings. Also a tempting range of delicious French style desserts. Coffee is really good and the overall price is really affordable. Well worth a visit.

Saturday 10am Central London and no Croissant...additionally they won't make any as they make them only once a day. Well done manager

First time in this branch Very busy Wednesday lunch time - around 14:15 - where underground trains are on strike, passengers are are packed inside buses or walking in massive numbers. Enjoying my Cafe Latte- extra hot milk - and my very tasty and fresh almond croissant. Staff are good

Visitamos este lugar más temprano hoy para el desayuno y el personal era inexistente. Después de entrar, nos paramos al lado del podio del comedor donde dice "Espera aquí para sentarte". Después de varios minutos sin personal, decidimos sentarnos. Tomamos nuestros propios menús, hicimos nuestras elecciones de comida y esperamos. Y esperamos. Después de aproximadamente 10 a 15 minutos de ausencia de interacción del personal o del personal que pudimos saludar, nos fuimos y desayunamos en otro lugar. We really enjoyed this place, so much that we came here for coffee and breakfast twice. The croissants were simply one of the best croissants we've had (granted, we haven't been to Europe much!!). There was a variety of food behind that counter that the staff would heat up and provide, and lots of coffee and tea (both hot and cold) options. The staff on the whole was very friendly; some were a bit more "aloof" than others (maybe less experienced?), but everyone was extremely friendly. We chatted with the gentleman who was either the owner or manager (working behind the counter as well), who was from France, and told us about how they came about, and how they operate (they have a couple of places in London). We appreciated his time, and thoroughly enjoyed both visits.

Excelente, pasteles frescos, tuvimos el croissant de almendras y un palmier, ambos deliciosos. Taza de capuchino justo como era el té del desayuno inglés. La taza de té más grande y el lado de leche más generoso que tuve en Londres. Personal cortés y agradable, tanto detrás del mostrador como en la caja registradora. Ambiente agradable, volveremos. No pensé que fuera demasiado caro.

Visité hoy la rama de arco de mármol, casi 6 para una baguette decente, café con leche mal hecho y merienda. ¡Ningún asiento permitido por ese precio tuvo que pagar 9 por ese privilegio! Ve a costa en lugar de 5 a 6 come con una baguette caliente, mejor café y servicio. Personal desorganizado. Decepcionado por decir lo menos.

Nothing really special. French bakery. The croissant was fresh and tasty. The coffee was ok. The service quick but not organized. The prices regular ; a croissant is around 3,5 pounds

We ate breakfast here on a couple of occasions. The staff seemed to be rushed all the time and orders were messed up each time. The food quality was good, but the service let it down.

A haven in the city. Excellent baguettes at extremely good value prices. Nice comfortable seating. Where else can you get fresh food and a good sit down on a main thoroughfare.

Bon petit déjeuner dans un chouette cadre avec une équipe sympa et attentionnée car nous sommes de confessions musulmane et sans leurs demander il nous prévenais quand une pâtisserie contenais de l’alcool.

Normalmente una visita a Paul me hace sentir mejor.

Anytime I’m in any city that has a Paul, I go!! Today was ham & cheese sandwich. Crust was just right - fabulous. Also had a chocolate croissant for dessert which was good too. I simply love this place!

Food ok: nothing to write home about. Freshly squeezed orange juice was nice but so it should be at £4 a pop! Staff seemed authentically French.

Stopped here for a breakfast, really nice quality food, and the service is excellent, thank you to the Italian waiter Nicola? for his excellent service and advice, would defiantly go here again, it’s not a full English but it’s quality food none the less, they also sell rolls to take away, and fab cakes

Este es Prêt a Manger en esteroides. Seleccionar tu sándwich, etc. , en el mostrador, esperar unos minutos para que prepárate, encontrar una mesa y disfrutar. Los panes son excelentes, y los rellenos son igualmente buenas. Asimismo, los pasteles son de primera categoría. Los precios son muy, muy razonable. Un buen café. Me paré para cenar, simplemente porque no me importó para nada más implicados, y disfrutamos de un buen sandwich Caprese - estilo baguette maravillosamente correosos y sabrosa, con excelente salsa de pesto. Porque hay amplios asientos, no sentimos presionados en lo más mínimo. Altamente recomendado.

The place is not clean, the service is middle eastern. The customers rude trying to take your turn. It is pity that such a lovely cafe is not manged well probably because it is understaffed.

Went to buy some pastries and coffee for breakfast. The taste was delicious and staff friendly and festive. Highly recommended.

Después de caminar por Oxford Street en la lluvia torrencial buscando un lugar para comer en una concurrida Domingo mediodía nos encontramos con esta pequeña joya. Teníamos sopa y un bocadillo. La sopa de pollo era hermosa y sin duda regresaría de nuevo y el precio era razonable para restaurante de Londres.

Top end coffee and food shop Clean and very professional Their baguettes are awesome. Hot chocolate is a little bland. Overall... 8/10

Pedí y volvimos dos Croque Monsieurs desde esta rama de Paul recientemente. Una primera para mí, ya que es lo que siempre pide en Paul y estoy recompensado ordinariamente con una bonita humedo, satisfactorio y sabroso Croque. No en el Marble Arch Paul. Los dos Croques estaban secas, y ligera. A disección de ambos, parece que el chef se extiende la salsa bechamel como mantequilla. Un simple raspado de las cosas solo era evidente en ambos Croques. No tener la lucha dejado en mí para enviar la segunda vuelta y probar una tercera (como la camarera amable me aseguró que iban a ser lo mismo) me pidió algo más en su lugar. Una pena que. Un sándwich franceses en un café francés firma y fue una total decepción.

Looking for a quick snack (Saturday 13th May) when we popped into “Paul”. Had very enjoyable mini-quiche then cakes and coffees. Very relaxed atmosphere with regulars ensconced for the afternoon. Staff were very friendly.

El personal detrás del mostrador nunca sonríen. Y te hacen sentir como si te están dando comida gratis. u También las mesas estaban sucias. Y los precios son muy altos que cabe esperar un mejor servicio.

Au coin de Edgware et de Seymour près de Marble Arch. Une petite faim et j'y achète un pain au chocolat pour voir.

Diese Cafes sind immer rappelvoll, wenn ich dorthinkomme. :-) Bin immer froh, wenn ich irgendwo noch einen Platz ergattern kann. Sehr gemuetlich, gute Auswahl an Patisserie, aber leider etwas zu teuer finde ich. Aber gut man sitzt sehr gemuetlich. :-) Man wird immer nett bedient.

Una comida y un personal maravilloso, he estado en San Pablo en Londres, París y El Cairo, la calidad de la comida y la bebida ha sido siempre la marca. Me encanta todos sus tartas y café. Es un gran lugar para una comida rápida, especialmente cuando en la carretera.

El personal es amable y servicial. Se acabó de tomate con mozzarella y el personal salió corriendo a la cocina para conseguir hechas especialmente para nosotros. El café y el té está por encima de la media, pero se puede encontrar cualquier pastelería danesa a almendra llena de dolor. Sigan con el buen trabajo.

Customer service is the closest to a Faulty Towers show I've seen in London. I complained a year ago things have only got worse since then. The manageress Sylvia is always surly - orders generally take forever - none of the staff ever smile. While I have always generally liked Paul - this one has got to a stage I refuse to go again. We live locally - everyone around us jokes about how bad the service is here ... we have lots of local alternatives - if the aim is to only cater to the tourist crowd fine - but as locals we are not frequenting this place...If management wants to get in touch with me please do so!!!

Er was een ruime keuze tussen allerlei lekkers dat vers gebakken en gemaakt was.Enkel minpunt maar dat is in elke zaak. Dat je meer betaald voor elk ding je koopt als je daar blijft eten. Take-away is dus goedkoper.Ik zou het handiger vinden dat ze gewoon 1£ extra zouden rekenen in totaal dan op elk ding dat je koopt.Was ook heel lekker. Goedkoop, lekker en gezellig.

Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner chez Paul. Le tarte fine aux pommes est excellente ainsi que les croissants. La tartine au camembert est un peu ecoeurante car trop de confit d'oignons. Sinon excellent café

I stay nearby and regularly chose Paul for breakfast. They provide a simple breakfast offer of a pastry (Croissant type) and coffee (any type or size) and it sets me up well for the day. Given they attempt to appear as a French cafe, it might be an idea for the customer facing staff to learn a few French words though - not knowing what a Cafe au lait is astounded me ;-)

Went for breakfast last Saturday morning. It's newly please, well situated, not far from Marble Arch, the space inside in huge and nicely decorated. However, I found the space empty. First we wanted some breakfast and I could not find any breakfast formula. It was displayed only by till which is far end of counter. Second, I ordered a tea, please do includ some milk on side! Croissant omelette Jambon was still cold inside. Wonder if it was normal or just came out from fridge.Well my friend and I were left disappointed. They are better to enjoy a nice breakfast in London. I will come back just to buy pastries as they are nice but don't think for breakfast. Peu mieux faire!

The cakes and filled rolls are thoroughly delicious and the coffee is good too. Prices aren't ridiculous for the quality.

I visited 3 times in one week and cannot understand the negative comments. The coffee is just great and if you can pass by the amazing pastries you are a stronger person than me.Seating is very comfortable and not crammed together. Altogether a much higher standard of seating that any other cafés in the local area.

This is a welcome break of the Shisha Bars and Restaurants which now dominate this part of London. Lovely fresh food, just what's needed sometimes. Staff friendly - good service.

Convenient location and known for its macaroons, we decided to have a visit at their Marble Arch branch. Hot chocolate is really thick luxurious chocolate. It's like a full bar of chocolate melted in a cup. A bit too sweet for me but it's a real chocolate treat. It was served without a teaspoon and a bit too messy with drops of chocolate on the side of the cup. Macaroons are lovely. Cheese and chorizo toast is yummy but very oily. Macaroon Frappe Pistachio flavour is refreshing. Busy place and nice ambience but a bit pricey as we paid nearly £30.00 for our snacks but hey ho it's London and we enjoyed the macaroons.

Close to our hotel, Paul offered a quick way to grab breakfast on the go as we headed out for the day. All the food was tasty, though occasionally a bit greasy. When they heat it, be careful as it will be very hot. They charge about a £ extra per item if you eat in the shop, but since we were on the go, we always had it as take-away.

Met friends here, they were already here so felt obliged to stay. Poor customer service, had to insist that I had ordered my coffee to actually get it from the barrista guy making coffees as the person I paid hadn't passed on the ticket. And then. Dirty tables with previous customers debris piled up. Not a pleasant experience especially bad as you pay a premium to eat and drink here.

A well-known chain, that cultivates the mythology about its XIXth century creation, with a love of bread, etc. What is true or not in this no longer matters, it makes a good story.This chain supplies sandwiches with a twist and French pastries with an authenticity, all generally with a good choice of ingredients and a quality to show for it. A quite a price, that is.On a Saturday lunchtime, the bread showed some lack of freshness (this kind of bread is quick to dry out), a notch of overcooking, but the pastry was definitely up to standards.This restaurant offers a large room, but with the tables too close. I doubt that there were enough toilets for the size of the room, as well.The staff, including a Arif and a Federico, was showing signs of disorganisation (whilst the restaurant was at a mere 20 to 30% of capacity), jumping at clients with a disregard to the rules of queuing, sometimes slow to react to clients' requests, and missing every opportunity to smile or to otherwise engage the customers. Although the general attitude could not be qualified as rude, I doubt that service operations could have been well thought about, hence too much concentration of what to do the next second, and not enough overall service management.

Staying nearby and fancied coffee and cakes. The first thing we noticed were the dirty tables that were still not cleaned when we left. To be fair the coffees and Macarons were good but let down by cleanliness and indifferent staff. Quite privy too.

Coffee nice and strong. We had two different macarons which were really good - pistachio and raspberry. Let down by staff not clearing or cleaning tables, despite not being busy whilst we were there.

The sound that greeted me as I walked through the doors of the Charterhouse Paul bakery can only act as a warning to anyone who enters and a precursor to the service they should expect to receive should they be foolish enough (as I was) to continue.As the sound that came out of the overhead speakers which are conveniently placed over the front entrance (convenient for only their foreshadowing) was thus; strange, insulting, condescending, commercial, unpleasant, ugly, and most of all Fake. Little did I know as I approached the counter with a piano version of "Hey Ya!" playing in the background how grating it would become.I chose to ignore all the signs, but the were signs I could not ignore, namely the small ones placed in front of the food itself listing both the name and the price... two prices, one to eat in and one to eat out, both massively extortionate.It was then a shrill semi bored and angry voice muttered a "bonjore, what would you like sir?" I looked up and was met by a teacher like stir, the woman who served was rude, and patronizing, I told her that the Chausson Pommes looked a bit burnt, she simply told me "that's how it's meant to be sir".I simply wanted a place to sit out of the cold for a while so I decided to pay a stupid amount of money for a burnt looking Chausson Pommes and some tea. By this point the "shake it like a Polaroid picture" Part of the piano version of "Hey Ya!" had came on.I bit into the Chausson Pommes and it was burnt and sour, it was then it dawned on me, I had paid for this experience, I had paid money out of desperation for comfort to sit in this confusing, horrendous and horrifying nightmare. I still feel in some way violated by this disgusting experience.In short; The music was horrible, the staff are rude, obnoxious and unpleasant to look at, the food is burnt, the attempt at being French is insulting and racist, and the fact that they charge MORE to willingly expose yourself to such pure degeneracy is seriously worrying and keeps me up at night, I didn't know something like this could exist, but it unfortunately does.

Guter Kaffee, viel Auswahl an Süssigkeiten, schöne, angenehme Inneneinrichtung ... Waren da Nachmittag für einen Kaffee und Kuchen. Die Preise sind etwas gehoben, für London aber ok. Die Stimmung war angenehm, obwohl es eher voll war. Man hat fast das Gefühl, als wäre man irgendwo in einem pariser Cafe.
