Fantastic for an evening venue. Great food and drink. Excellent service and a lovely place. Would thoroughly recommend for having a bespoke intimate and fun celebration. The owners are fantastic too.

Una increíble selección de opciones tanto dulces como saladas. Por lo general, las tortitas sin gluten terminan siendo la mitad del tamaño de las normales, ¡pero estas eran enormes y absolutamente deliciosas! (Ver foto) ¡Recomendaría 100%!

The food was excellent. The family enjoyed the lobster courses.. The foie gras terrine and steak tartare I had is highly recommended. Wines are reasonably priced and well worth it.Loved the Aligote and Pichon Longueville. But what made a great experience is Mr Richard Weiss whose service and effervescent approach are tops..

Could be very good but just missed, huge portions but oversauced and slight arithmetic issue with the bill, one dish charged twice. What a shame.

Ordered takeout, order was wrong. Received the wrong dish. If you spend over £24 free beer didn’t get. Collect & you get free onion bhaji didn’t get. Called spoke to 3 different people. Said they would refund, had to give them my address but the lady couldn’t hear me. Gave up & ended the call. Will never go back. The food is edible but nothing special.

Have visited multiple times over the last few years. (Scared wasp lady) Last year we visited Looe just to come to this place. The owner is fantastic and always makes you feel welcome. One holiday we visited everyday for the crepes and affogato (served the Japanese way). I’ve just seen that this place has now closed and we’re deeply saddened. I hope the owner is well and is doing bigger and better things. Thankyou for the crepes and coffee ❤️.

Tuve una cena de cumpleaños maravillosamente especial en Caractère. Todo fue perfecto. La comida excelente , el vino delicioso, el ambiente y la atención crearon una experiencia realmente encantadora. Gracias Team Caractère.

Nos adentramos en el Ivy sin saber nada sobre él, pero parecía atractivo desde el exterior y hacía frío y lluvia y un clima horrible - día sabio. Qué gratamente sorprendidos estábamos. Parecía mocoso y congestionado, pero no lo era. Hermoso ambiente y la comida era deliciosa. Mi amigo tenía el Menú 1917 de entrada y principal: Salmón Rillette con aguacate, ensalada y pan de centeno y principal de Pastel de Pastores. Comí un entrante de vieiras asadas con crema de espinacas y bocanadas de patata. El costo: no más de lo que habría pagado en un café del barrio. ¡Y el baño de damas de color rosa es hermoso!

We ordered two mains and two desserts from the online menu for our Sunday lunch. The food was glorious in quality and quantity and was presented in sensible cardboard boxes.

Gran servicio, fue como entrar en Francia, hermosa decoración, el personal era muy servicial con las recomendaciones, la comida era excepcional, recomiendo encarecidamente una visita.
