Good food in pleasant surroundings with good service. Friendly staff who assisted in serving and sorting out drinks and food.

Greqt service. Needed some power to charge my phone which had died so I could get my eTicket for the international train and they helped me out. Great Italian prosciutto sandwhich and a good espresso. Had a piece of lemon cake which was awesome. Good food, clean floors and service with a smile. Love the Pret a Manger chain!

Loved this coffee shop I've stopped at many times for a coffee, located inside the station, with nice view of the station concourse. Today (30 October 2024 1pm) that all changed when I ordered a coffee and discovered it was only slightly warmer than lukewarm. I told the lady who served me (who appeared to be a manager) it wasn't hot enough, and to my surprise her reaction was to say it WAS hot enough as it had come from the machine, and she didn't appear to want to change it. Fortunately, the man dispensing the coffees overheard our conversation and immediately proceeded to replace my coffee. The new coffee was hot, at the correct temperature. Annoyed by the attitude of the lady/manager I then asked her whether the fact that the coffee had come from the machine meant it was necessarily hot enough, to which she replied yes. She then went on to say, defensively, that everyone had their own ideas of what is hot enough, and that she liked her coffee cooler! I told her I had had 100s of Pret coffees (which is true!) and knew when the coffee was below an acceptable temperature. What an awful experience, especially if she is a manager. I suggest retraining for her!

This is the first time i have had a bad experience with the food. The chips were great but the fish was in edible. It was bone dry and the batter was so hard and dry it was impossible to eat. It seemed it had been under a heat lamp for hours. Sorry.

We love to come to JJ’s when we visit Gorleston-on-Sea and unfortunately the only reason we have dropped a star off is because on our last few visits the fish and chips / hot food have been served up on stone cold plates. There is nothing worse than putting hot food on cold plates as it goes cold so quickly. unfortunately that has made us think twice about coming again as cold fish and chips are not the nicest. It’s a small oversight that makes a big impact to the enjoyment of the customer eating their food and we know we’re not the only ones who’ve noticed this as we have often overheard people commenting who are sitting there by. So JJs come on it’s a small thing having hot plates for hot food So fingers crossed, this can be rectified.

First time here. Had large haddock and chips for £9 which, unarguably, is a great price. Haddock was perfectly cooked, flaky and succulent and chips crisp and fluffy. One of my better fish and chips experiences. Staff friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough to help me! I can't wait to go back.

Best service of a subway in the world

Charlies plaice used to be my go to chippie After a visit November 2nd I decided to review the mini fish and chips I bought. The chips were passable, the fish was a few small chunks covered in loads of poor batter, the mushy peas were quite cold. I am sorry to say that after being a customer there since 1980 I won't be going back there.

Very poor customer service. Very rude.

Went in to try hot chocolate in the cafe and it was lovely. I tried hot chocolate with ginger. I got the VIP card too because it gives 20%off drinks and other perks, which means I will definitely be back
