Wimpy in Cherwell

Lovely clean Wimpy with friendly staff. I always love a bender.( not the staff). Seems as if a Bender is now a Bendy. Still lovely.

Very friendly employees. It was our first visit to Bicester from the U.S. We hope to return next year. We will definitely plan to stop in.

What more can I say? We are delighted, we found a Wimpy in England! We also met some lovely South Africans. Highly recommend.

Drinks tasted awful no pepsi only cheap cola. Food was bland but good potion sizes. Overall just not Impressed worst wimpy I've been too

Freshly cooked burger. Tasty and well filled. Good coffee as well. Served on proper crockery.

Place was very clean, Helped us out by changing a fried egg to scrambled egg for our son. Food was hot and well cooked so its 5 stars from us.

Its been a long time since I have been a Wimpy If this how Wimpy are then I am so glad I tried again everything was great service outstanding well done 👏

Took my grandchildren to Wimpey for a treat, their choice. The whole place, including the toilets, was really clean, the food was freshly prepared, came quickly and was really hot and tasty. However it was more expensive than other similar outlets, and I would have probably would have accepted this, except when I got the bill, the waiter tried to rip me off. The first bill was simply a small slip showing the total, which was £48, which seemed a bit more than I had reckoned on. So I asked for the bill with the breakdown and was told I could have it if I paid first. I obviously refused and stood my ground. When I eventually got the bill with the breakdown, it showed the total as being £40, as the children''s meals had been discounted by £8. Not impressed at all and will not be giving them my business in future.

Heard the food is really good and the overall atmosphere is great, but never tried it so I can't comment much! I'm only commenting about the lack of help I was met with when I called. I called them up asking for an email I could contact them at asking about vacancies, and was met with a "I don't know." And nothing else. No "I'll just check" or "I'll get back to you", just a very blunt and quite honestly rude "I don't know". Very unhelpful to be honest, but other than that I'm sure the food is lovely.

Be sure to check they aren't trying to sell you mouldy food instead of throwing it out.

Basic food, little bit pricey !

I like the place. Wimpy is what it is without apology. Good food at a good price. It ain't cheap, but it's good.

Have not been to a wimpy in a long time and had breakfast and it was delicious and I also had pot of tea for one lovely. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and had very good service, I would go back and I recommend anyone to go and try, it is also family friendly you will not be disappointed,go see for yourself.

Burger is good but not worth its price. Service is ok. But not many diner in the restaurant while I was there for 1 hour having orders twice. Because first time the portion isn't enough. Overall. I wouldn't go again ..

You always know what you are going to get here. Always hot, always fresh. Service is really good. Restaurant is always spotlessly clean. Very good value for money.

First time ever going to Wimpy, extremely satisfied. Food is very filling & presented nicely. Cost of the meals are definitely worth the price. Staff are very welcoming & very friendly. Food is nice and quick amazing choices of foods. The whole place was spotless very impressed with the cleanliness. They even have a area that young children can play in. The toilet are very nice and clean. There ketchup is to die for I'm my opinion it's much better then Heinz & you can also purchase bottles of ketchup in store. I would highly recommend this to families as well as couples.

Wimpy is superb, this site in Bicester is situated in the old market square, has plenty of seating and a nice clean environment. The food is excellent especially the delicious double quarter pounder with cheese and bacon, delicious fries or Wimpy grill. The best tomato ketchup is from Wimpy. Nice friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely breakfast whilst the husband had 1/4 pounder with cheese plus chips. Both plates left empty.

We live in milton keynes so this is our closest wimpy. The years we have been going there we have not had one bad meal. Guys keep it up u r all doing a good job

A nostalgic trip down memory lane. The only thing that has changed is that the bender is now known as a bendy and mine looked like it was cooked on the griddle - not sure they used to do that? The flavours and textures were exactly as I remembered them. I agree with others that it could be seen as being on the pricey side for a burger joint, but it is proper table service. Quick service. Comfortable seating. Well worth a visit. I will be back.

(Insert joke about wimpy food vs strong food. *Laugh*) As an American, this was the first time I've been in this burger chain. Coming from a place that has burger chains everywhere, I wondered how Wimpy would do. I enjoyed it! The ability to get some cheese sticks on the side were a super bonus, and the burger had its own flair that made it unique and tasty. The place was clean and tidy, service was super quick, and it was a great spot to stop in for a quick lunch while shopping. There is plenty to try on the menu, to include chicken and vegetarian options. Be tasty, be Wimpy.

Very empty when we visited for a Saturday evening. Quick service with getting seated and taking our order,food didn't take long to arrive. Good portion sizes and good customer service 👌

Quality has got worse but prices have gone up. Best avoided now tbh. £16 for a standard quarter pounder, chips and a drink. Burger van quality food at restaurant prices👎🏻

I took my daughter and her friend for dinner , 2 burgers with fries as a meal I supposed, 2 milkshakes and 3 sides each £3,95 and they charged me everything separately £40 just for a dinner for 2 girls ( 11 years old ) It was an extortion !!!

Friendly welcome from a lady staff member, made a change from macdonalds. A bit dearer but nice quality, great thick shake.

The quantity of food is poor, for 8.50 there is hardly anything there, the bacons are tiny and thin and really don't taste very nice, won't be returning again, better off going to a real cafe.

Classic wimpy.. My lady had the spice bean burger, I had the big breakfast but swapped out hash browns for chips. Lovely. What service! Clean, spacious and friendly. Thanks guys!

It's a wimpy and I guess they haven't changed that much since I was a lad many years ago, which is a good thing really. The food was good, the service was quick and although the decor was a bit plain and simple, it was fine. Definitely a good place to pop into for a quick bite to eat. Plenty of choice on the menu, even for veggies!

You can see why there are not many around anymore. So many better options in this price bracket.

It’s a bit expensive the one that’s opened up in Aylesbury is better but it ok in the Bicester store.

Love their take away Cod and Chips. So tasty and cooked quickly.

Very clean & tidy. Only stopoed to grab a quick drink but did sit inside. As I was the only one there service was quick. I did not eat but the food that came out later to another couple looked tasty.

True to the wimpy menu and super clean and tidy and attentive staff. Hence 5 stars.

Waited over 15 minutes for food to be prepared which gave me plenty of time to check online whether Wimpy was still a fast food outlet. £20 for 2 quarter pounders, 2 fries & 1 coke, which is far too expensive for what we got. Burger was not a quality item, looking more like the generic burgers from vans you get outside nightclubs at 2am. Very disappointed. Chips were nice though.

Thursday (Platinum Jublie Day) 'Wimpy' Treat Day!! As the wife was out with friends for evening, I decided to endulge in my favorite burger, sides and shake... If you want great food (quick delivery service) and great value, check out the Wimpy Bicester menu!!

This is my absolute favourite fast food burger joint! It wins hands down in all areas. The environment is really nice and clean, the food always freshly cooked and the portions decent. The staff are friendly. I cannot fault it and enjoy eating there every single time. It is a far cry from some of the larger, more busy chains. There is a special meal deal every Wednesday, which gives you a meal for just over a fiver. I am also most happy that they still sell old school bean burgers, which are my favourite, but rapidly disappearing from menus.

Didn't like the taste of the burger + no real flavour. Kids enjoyed the chicken strips & chips.

Had a takeaway breakfast from here, and my goodness the quality of taste, presentation, and time preparing the food was phenomenal. a standard rarely seen in restaurants these days. Another thing which is rare to see is the food looking like the picture on the menu, the breakfast I ordered looked EXACTLY like what it was dipicted. Credit to the staff for the quality, well worth the money 100%. If I had one critism (which is not really one) is the takeaway to table service options.... however.... this has just made me want to sit in the restaurant and try the table service food in person 🤙

Staff great but the burgers were disappointing, we make a special jurney to go and up to today always enjoyed it. Today's burgers were tough and not enjoyable.

Love this Wimpy. Good honest food, reasonably priced huge menu. Nice breakfasts. Restaurant is very clean & well maintained. Staff always nice. Booth seats are great by the window.

Had lunch there, burger and fries were very fresh. Was promptly served. Staff were very friendly, all with a genuine smile on their face.

Just had a nice lunch, not rushed. Wish it was nearer to where I live, but will go back when in the area.

A throwback to childhood when Wimpys were the only fast food, everything still tastes the same. Lovely clean restaurant with great staff and food freshly cooked to order.

Well worth the drive from Milton Keynes. First class service and food. Great decor and one of the cleanest places you will ever have the pleasure to eat in.

I would give this place a 1 star, I went there with my friends last Sunday, and I asked for a cheeseburger. The guy asked if I wanted chips, and I said no thanks, because I thought it would cost extra money. When my food came, they brought me both burger and chips. I assumed they were free, so I ate them. Then we went to go and pay, they asked what I had and I said a burger. They asked if I had chips with it and I said yes, even though I didn’t even ask for them. The price with the burger alone was £3.90, even on the menu WITH chips would be £3.90 as well. Then, they said that It would he £6.10!!! I then handed over my money, however I wasn’t going to start an argument. If I would’ve asked for chips, I would’ve got them. It is very confusing, and from now on, I am no longer going to wimpy.

Was a lovely blast from the past. My dad took me to Wimpy as a treat when I was a kid. The food was really nice and a good price. The service was quick and polite. We'll definitely be back.
