Great for takeaway fish and chips. Eat in if you like. Crispy batter, generous portions, well cooked chips plus easy parking nearby and friendly people. Outstanding.

Lovely friendly service generous potion size and fabulous tasting chips & cod roe..! Mayonnaise good ketchup needs upgrading but not the worst, but sauce was free so can't moan... can't wait to come back to Banbury for another portion...! Highly recommended Update have been back since friendly as ever everyone smiles and chips are still the bomb...!

Everything on our plates were amazing. Put my faith back into traditional chip shops. Welcoming, easy to park, seating and decor clean and tidy. Very reasonably priced. Couldn’t ask for more to be honest.

Lovely traditional sit-in fish and chip shop. The battered fish is the best I ever had. Smashing cheeseburgers, too. Shop nice and clean. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. If I ever go back to Banbury, will definitely revisit.

I came from Mexico and it is the first fish and chips I have ever eaten and then I return to Mexico with the story that in a place called Banbury there is a man whom his friends name JIMMY, with good treatment and a kind look along with a beautiful receptionist who cooks A very typical UK dish and he makes it as if it were the best, big, sufficient and delicious.

Lovely takeaway here as passing by and not in the area. The great reviews on Google made me try it and wasn't disappointed. Owner was a good laugh and food was a great price and tasted good. The sausage wasn't up to my standard as felt like cheap mush but all else was top notch. Definitely be back again

Stale chips more batter than fish At 6.20 pm I thought it would all be fresh but no stale chips the cod was so thin the batter drowned it This used to be quality shame it’s gone downhill

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time.

Fish and chips were disappointing, both were tasteless. The mushy peas seemed like canned, but tasted good.

Sat in and was served a very thin piece of haddock. I didn’t ask for small was just served it. I paid approx £9 with chips. The portions was disappointing. Will just get take out next time maybe portion sizes are better

If these are Banburys best fish n chips then Banbury must be hard up for fish n chips you would get shot if you served these in Yorkshire greasy soggy chips flat greasy batter not crisp n crunchy at all and the cod was grey and tasteless absolute rubbish i ate less than half the fish and a few chips then binned the rest

Awful! I've been four times and everytime it's worse than the last. First time it was fine, nothing special but warm and edible, second time the fish was burnt on the bottom and rock solid, third time the fish smelt very strongly and I chucked it out. Fourth time I tried something different, a kebab. It was vile. Barely cooked and a weird pale colour. I tried a bit and I still feel sick thinking about how awful it was 🤮🤮 It took ages to get served, and they put the wrong sauce on. I asked for yoghurt and mint and got hot chilli. It wasn't on the kebab either, it was on the chips. I don't know if it's under new management, but the staff seem clueless and the food is awful and it hasn't always been like that

We popped in by chance off the motorway. It was the best atop! Service brilliant, food hot and delicious. The fish was not overcooked. We couldn’t fault it.

I asked for a large haddock and chips, and the staff insisted I have a small that was already fried and on display in the hot counter, as a fresh fish would take ten minutes. So on which I agreed. The fish could of been more fresh and wasn't the tastiest, saying that the service was very good.

Good quick service and really tasty food

Very hard working employees will run like chickens to ensure your food is hot. The food is pretty good as well, normally I don't like eating hot chips but at this place I like them quite a bit. Also very cheap, I got a lengthy order and it only came to £17. They could up the price I think.

Came here on the basis of Google reviews as only visiting town briefly. Had high expectations which sadly weren't met. Fish was moderate size despite large cod being ordered. Batter was nice taste but greasy, thin and not at all crispy. Chippy tea used to be an economic choice but for 25 odd quid for 2x meals it should be well cooked at least. On the upside the chips and side sauces were pretty decent. My recommendation would be try elsewhere if you like crispy batter on your fish.

Lovely lightly battered fish, though there was a little bit too much oil sitting in the batter. Chips were red hot but lovely. The place is well laid out, and waitress service too.
