Kosmos Greek Grill in Cherwell

Closed down again now without updating Google.

Decided to go there today in the morning. Checked the opening hours on Google maps, but it was shut when it was supposed to be open. So I can tell nothing about food or service.

Delicious food, somehow they make a kebab taste fresh, not at all greasy. Well seasoned fries and meat. The wild boar sausage is delicious and pitta is soft and fluffy! Would recommend the wraps and boxes especially. Had quite a few times now, never disappointed. Large portions, the boxes have loads of meat and fries so great value for money. Customer service could improve, but excellent food.

Called in last minute around 21:00hrs for something to eat, decided on the Mixed yeeros which cost £12:80 sounds alot but there was enough for two, was presented nicely, chip's were good, pitta bread was pretty good, but overall it lacked, not much meat, couldn't taste the tzatziki. After eating a lot of Greek cuisine, this didn't quite meet the standard. So it comes down to the big question would I go back? If no where else was open but it's a no from me.

Im forced to leave 1 star so I can post this review. I ordered food, whilst waiting, I see the sever picking his teeth with a wooden pick (or similar). Then, proceeded to prepare my food without washing their hands. I asked for a refund, and it was given. However, as there is no way of contacting the business, this is the only way I can leave feedback.

Sausages were very different to usual, very tough. The rest were smaller portions than they used to be. Still delicious though.

I travel up and down the country with work, and it has to be one of the best I've tried, only downfall chilli sauce could do with a little more kick 9/10

Disgusted with my order on Monday it wasn’t fresh salad soggy and chips stale not fresh, meat tasted horrible and I found cardboard in my meat which put me off completely won’t be ordering again

usually i rave about this place telling everyone how good it is and have the wild boar box its amazing ..... today however i was met with 4 curly rubbery "sausages" wet pitta a hand full of onion with what i assume was 2 bits of tomato there really wasnt much to tell as it looked like it had been thrown in the box .... just disappointed if anything i always order the exact same thing and it was way below there usually extremely high standards

For 18.50 I expect better! The wild bore wrap was coated in so much mustard it ruined it for me! Absolutely vile will not order again. Salad cost 6.50 and was small such a rip off. Cost of living crisis and this is what you get...

Only slight negative on food is chips are a little bit soggy, but as it was delivery that's to be expected. Really good value for the amount and quality of food I got. Ordered via Deliveroo and I wasn't able to order exactly the combination I wanted due to options available and nowhere to put a note before buying. Rang Kosmos after ordering and they were brilliant about changing my order even though they had started preparing it.

Would have been 5 stars if the Greek salad hadn’t been 90% onions and no lettuce. A dressing would have been nice on it too. It was fresh but just plain. Halloumi wrap was beautiful. Would order again for that!

Love the quality of the food here however have noticed standards of salad, order notes on sauces etc are slipping recently. Would love to see them return to original high standards.

Had a text message to say food was going to be late, food was tasty and warm when it arrived. We all enjoyed our yeeros (3 people) sharing a side of Parmesan chips between us:) would order from here again!

Biftekia used to be a nice and juicy beef patty from a grill. Last night it arrived almost solid, well overcooked, it was difficult to cut

Disappointed frankly. Ordered via Deliveroo, advised 50 minutes delivery. Perfect, just enough time to get home from work. The order took over 90 minutes!!! We called the shop to find out what had happened. It was impossible to understand the first person on the phone, the second person said the driver had gone to our house but no one was in, and he had followed the Google map. I said he'd gone to the wrong house, apparently still our fault?? On my order I had put a correct postcode, and delivery instructions. The driver ignored all of this, but apparently our fault for not living at the empty property the driver went to 🤦🏼‍♀️ Surly, unhelpful owners. Poor quality of produce, lacking any kind of customer service. Do not recommend

Ordered at 7.15, expected delivery within 25-35 mins, arrived 8.35. Meat was burned and chips were chewy, not impressed.

Just ordered tonight's dinner through deliveroo, it was fantastic. Arrived earlier than expected (we ordered around 6pm on a Friday), hot food, no sogginess from being transported, as if it was fresh from the grill. We got a lamb yeeros, a chicken yerros box, and aubergine side. All highly recommended. The box is probably enough for 2 with sides. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious! The meat was slightly dry however still tasted great! The delivery driver was amazing and had forgotten our drink and even though I said not to worry he drove all the way back to drop it off to me!

I had set out to find something akin to authentic Greek food. I had walked past many kebab shops which didn't appeal, before deciding on Kosmos. I ordered a mixed beef and lamb kebab, served in a wrap with chips like Gyros. The food was full of flavour and plentiful and very reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Food from here used to be good but this is the first time we’ve ordered since they re opened. Only ordered as the other greek place was closed. We ordered a box meal and they didn’t send the correct one, and we weren’t sent the correct sides we ordered. Food was ok but meat was dry. Won’t be ordering again.

Been looking forward to trying here for ages but unfortunately as with many other reviews recently- it was cold. My husband ordered a box but got a wrap. It all tasted nice but had to be microwaved a make it edible. Overall I would say it was average and a maybe as to if we would order again.

I felt that the quality has gone downhill since the last time I ordered from here possibly last year. The meat was dry/overcooked... the chips were soggy and I had 1 sausage less than I was meant to! Safe to say I won't be ordering from here again. Disappointed.

I went in to this place and ordered food. We are vegetarian and my daughter was eating her food and found a big lump of chicken in her chips. I went up to the staff and told him and he barely apologised and then made another portion of chips, I opened the bag and decided to check them and I almost couldn’t believe it but there was still chicken in it. I lost my temper and asked for a refund and all he offered was the £3.50 for the chips. If it was my establishment I would have refunded the whole meal but this absolute disgrace of a restaurant compensated me £3.50 after messing up TWICE! What an absolute joke. Staff have no idea what they are doing. DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN AS THE STAFF ARE NOT TRAINED IN CROSS CONTAMINATION! A BASIC HEALTH AND HYGIENE TEST IS NEEDED HERE. Someone needs to contact EHO! Disgusting!

First time tried greek food being an Indian. Ordered halloumi wrap, mix yeeros wrap and chicken skewer wrap. I was having mixed reaction how the food is going to taste. Mix yeeros are love. Must try place. Would love to visit again. Chicken was perfectly cooked. Staff was also cooperative. Explained everything in a nice way. Must try in banbury.

The Politiki Salad wasn't the usual quality. Hardly chopped. The Pork Yeeros Wrap meat had quite a bit of fat in and not very warm nor was the chips. The lamb skewer was tender but the chips were not very warm. The mixed Yeeros, again some of the meat was more fatty than lean. Disappointed as our meal last time was good.

This is usually gorgeous, but the chicken today felt really “slimy” I spat out first mouthful and didn’t enjoy the rest not the usual texture sad
