Nando's in Manchester

Safe to say I will NOT be coming back here. Waited over 45 minutes to get starters alone never mind the food! All the food is sat on top under heat lamps drying out with flies buzzing round them and the staff just standing around chatting. WHEN we eventually got our starters, they were freezing cold and the Halloumi was burnt to a crisp making it inedible. The main meal (both had chicken butterfly) was so dry we had to coat it in sauce to make it edible again! The mash was crumbly with no structure to it meaning it was falling through the fork, definitely not ‘creamy mash’ as stated on menu! No service from staff as all the want to do it stand around and chat and when I asked a question I got ignored! Terrible service so I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this specific Nando’s!!!

Had to write a review for the welcoming and great customer service from James in the Manchester Arndale Nando’s also loved the food was piping hot and tasty as usual.

I absolutely love Nando's. This was my first time at this location. The service was good. The food was served hot and delicious. This restaurant did not disappoint. You got to eat here. I highly recommend this location.

Me and my brother always come here on a weekend, most staff are use to seeing our faces great customer service and always smiling James and Izzy can’t fault them at all. They both need a promotion :) in my eyes.

Great staff, tasty food and very hot and fresh.

I have always watched YouTube and I’ve seen that people of the UK loves Nando’s, so I wanted to try it in my visit here. It wasn’t what I was expecting, the food was too spicy even if you orden no spicy food, I think that for the quantity is a expensive restaurant. You basically self order everything and they took a long time to bring us our Coke Zero (we had already finished our food)

Me and my Dad went there today. Great food, reasonable prices. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay on my phone.

Late lunch today with my wife and daughter.. Greeted with a friendly smile and took to an appropriate table for the pushchair. Ordered via the app and glasses came quickly. Staff were great with the little one interacting and chatting! Little hick up with the food it was our fault yet they sorted it out very swiftly. Definitely recommend.

I don’t know why Nando’s is even relevant. I tried it for the first time today and seeing the crowd there I thought it really must be something. People are crazy for paying 9.45 pounds for such low quality burger , that is not even filling, served cold. And what are those spice levels for when you don’t bother to make it spicy? I ordered a loaded fries - might be the most overpriced, one I have had, didn’t have enough chicken, or mayo or sauces, the fries tasted bad and it had zero spicy even after me selecting the hot spicy variant. I can’t believe it spent £18 pounds for that meal!!!!!!! So bad.

I know nando’s well from cape town and the kids really wanted to try again. Overall a good experience clean area and well prepared chicken. Really enjoyed this💪

The food was glorious. I was struggling to finish off my meal as I reached the finish line. HOWEVER, Izzy came out of nowhere swiped my remaining chicken onto a fork and said ‘here comes the aeroplane’ calming me down and allowing me to finish my lovely meal

I was having a meal in slim chickens and I was just looking around, I looked down in to the Nando’s and seen a waitress serving a young man, he looked to be facing some trouble eating the rest of his meal, she very selflessly picked up his fork, scooped it up, and did what I can only imagine is a plane noise, feeding the young man. Assuming from other reviews, no doubt this was the work of Izzy.

Not only was the food served quickly; it tasted as good as it looks. Izzy who served us gave an experience like no other, I saw from a table across the room, a young gent couldn’t finish his chips. That’s when Izzy gathered a few chips on his fork, I heard here comes the aeroplane and allowed him to fit in the last few bits. The gentleman looked very pleased not to waste a crumb. Amazing 👏🏻

As one of the cleaners for the arndale shopping centre I believe I have seen some sites. As I was going up the lift to clean the top floor I looked outside to gather the view where I noticed out of the corner of my eye a man getting fed like a child. By reading their lips I believe she mentioned an aeroplane alongside the noise ‘neeeowwwnmmm’ finishing it off with ‘I have been Izzy I hope you have a lovely rest off your day’

Chicken must be from frozen . Hard as wood few of the staff are very rude but majority are nice . Disappointed. Microwave rice and frozen chicken 🐔

Server spat in my son’s face because she didn’t have control of her mouth and took the drink out of his hand without even addressing me. Food was dry but half acceptable. I won’t have my son disrespected again due to the risk of elbow meeting nashers

Absolutely rude staff!!!! Waited over 20mins for my meal, went to the counter to complain and was shocked to get refund after waiting so long!!!! Unbelievable!!! Never again

Great, consistently good quality, meal from Nandos. On this occasion from Manchester Arndale Centre. Only had an hour before a theatre date and enjoyed excellent service, very quick despite some tech issues. Special shout out for Isuka and Fathima for their exceptionally friendly approach and their hard work observed around the restaurant, keeping everyone happy, serving, cleaning and smiling 😀! xxxx

We went to Manchester for the Take That concert, and it was so busy at the food venues near the AO Arena that we ended up in the Arndale Centre in the hope of a bite to eat, and not a long wait. The staff at Nandos were so lovely and helpful, we found a table easily, and the food was good. My mum wasn't all that hungry so they kindly did her a meal without the wrap, no problem. Would definitely go again! 😍

This place is amazing the service is incredible and it's very children's friendly and they always keep the food 4 us even if we step out to do something and the staff who served us the most, Isuru is absolutely the best he works very hard to keep us happy and always has a smile on his face.

A fast food restaurant with pretensions, it is a chain of restaurants, if you like spicy it is your place, little variety of beer, it is supposed to be Brazilian but they do not have Brahma beer, the most typical in Brazil, they call you Sagres which is Portuguese and bottle. The same few and French wines, the food the chicken is rare, always a little spicy even if you ask for it without spicy. Service that took orders quickly, generally friendly.

Great service as usual from Fatima and Abbie, food was good and the chicken was cooked right. My friend from abroad was impressed.

Visited on 09.02.24 evening Everything was great apart from the chicken and the service during the meal, service was spot on to start they sat us straight down ordered no problem then the chicken was stone cold when it arrived told a waitress who passed us who said she would swap the chicken, chicken never arrived spoke to a manager who knew nothing about this then was told she got side tracked and not informed the kitchen when I asked about the chicken nobody checked back on us to sort the initial problem so ended up just having the chips and coleslaw very disappointing and the manager just refunded the meal poor service on this occasion would not visit this Nando’s again

1st time ever at nandos as a family really enjoyed it. Girl at the till was really welcoming and took her time explaining how to order food etc. Food came and it was lovely..10/10 for service and food

Popular place inside the shopping mall. I tried 1/2 checkin with spicy rice and creamy hash it was very good. The staff are so friendly and caring .

Came here with a friend for lunch, we ordered on the app and had been waiting for about half an hour, everyone around us had received their food, when we asked for help they told us to go to the till. We showed the manager the confirmation email and she proceeded to tap around on my friends phone, even though we had shown the correct information. They made up some excuse that “our order got lost”. A very irritating experience. Won’t return

Large, clean space with well prepared food and friendly service. Atmosphere is nothing special though as you're sitting in a shopping mall.

My friend and I, were served by the lovely Andrew, who provided exceptional customer service with his friendly and attentive professionalism. Andrew went above and beyond to ensure we both received a great customer experience. Food was tasty and warm and we felt very welcomed and would definitely visit again. Thankyou Andrew :)

Service was really disappointing especially as they wouldn't even let my pregnant partner sit down and wait for a table but they let people they knew wait instead which is really out of order. When we eventually did get a table we ordered starters which came out in good time only then to be followed by our mains 2 minutes after which we obviously weren't ready for. This didn't seem to bother our waitress who just dumped the plates down anyway. At this point we still hadn't got our glasses for refillable drinks so we had to go up to the counter and ask for them. There was a lot of empty tables and loads of people waiting that didn't get seated. No one checked on our food which is a first for nandos in my experience which I can only assume was down to the lack of staff and there ability to actually care about the customers in the restaurant. Needless to say we won't be returning to this nandos again as it's the worst experience we've ever had. I'm surprised if anyone regularly uses this one if this is there normal service.

We ordered a shared platter plus two double chicken pita and they were super tasty, same with the sides! Wasn’t expecting it just purely for it being in the Arndale.

As ever great value. Piri-Piri chicken wings, spicy chips, brocoli + beer for £20 for two people.

food was okay, not the best nandos i have eaten at, service was meh, done the bare minimum. the coca cola had ran out of syrup so we politely asked them to change it and they did nothing. tasted like fizzy water with a dash of that 17p cheap cola you get at aldi.

I eat at this Nando's more than I’d like to admit and I’ve never been disappointed by the food or service, especially when James is in, definitely the ambassador for this Nando’s!

Nandos!!! Always amazing! Found this to be a better Nando’s than what I had in london! Surprising right! I agree! Only drawback was food took too much time to arrive. Staff is very attentive to your needs and will constantly ensure you are okay. Thanks you team!

Not a great experience - that’s it for me with Nando’s. A lot of money for fairly average food. The chicken was luke warm - which made me nervous! I ordered it with mild lemon and herb spice but on arrival found it covered with a mild ketchup - which was actually quite spicy. I ended up leaving nearly all the chicken as a result. On mentioning it to the waiter, he advised me that it does say on the menu that they put this ketchup on the chicken as a matter of course (why offer mild spice then?!). He did offer me something else but I said no. The experience with the chicken and the burnt garlic bread - which actually tasted of the grill itself - made up my mind that the only thing I wanted to do was to put it down to experience and leave.

The groves in the 6 seater tables where full of grime and old food. Months of build up not just something that had been missed by accident. The whole place needs a good clean, well worn and tired.

Absolutely awful customer service was sat down for 5 mins deciding what I would like to eat went up to order to be told they are not serving after I was literally just seated not an apology just told there is another one around the corner. What a joke!

This place opens late, which is convenient. Food and service is standard of Nandos, but quicker than the Nandos in Salford Quays, or maybe we went at a really good time (6-7pm on a thursday).

A lot of Muslims come here to eat. Its NOT Halal. Staff dont even warn people either. We saw some hijabi ladys there too

Having my cousin who is a regular meant VIP service and access to some sauces not on the menu yet. Nandos os always great and the new sauces in addition to the experimental ones compliment the chicken very well. Location, restaurant is very clean and well maintained. Staff very attentive and service minded.

30 minute wait to be seated despite many empty tables. Once seated and ordered via the app waiting 40 minutes for food. Food was hot and nice but the chicken was mostly a big bone with very little chicken on it. We also noticed the two girls on the table next to us waited as long for 1 of their meals and we had fully eaten ours and leaving with the 2nd girl still waiting....

Love nandos in any town, nice food and atmosphere. Staff usually gives crayons and paper for kids to keep them busy. In busy dinner time usually queue time around 20 30 mins

It's a Nandos, not much more to say. Decent food, decent price, fast service. Won't be the culinary experience of your life but you won't leave unhappy either.

Food was okay but been to better franchises before. We came about an hour before closing and staff rolled their eyes and were a bit rude rushing to get us to finish and out.

My family and I are Londoners and Nandoes never disappointed us. But we are extremely happy to see that the experience is the same in Manchester, the staff are lovely, helpful and most importantly the food is hot and delicious 😋.

Online food ordering system is extremely slow, food served cold with quality not meeting the franchise standard. Will not recommend eating here especially if you are ready to spend £80 for a family meal. The hygiene also not the best with the chicken kept on the bottom tray in the back and opened with their feet. You can see the dust on the signage and don’t have enough waitresses to manage customers

Who doesn't love nandos? Great place to go for affordable chicken that's fresh off the grill. Love the range of salads too for the days you don't want a 'heavy' meal. Usually a brilliant atmosphere so it's a great place to take kids without worrying about them making noise!
