Great food, cheerfully delivered

Really not that nice. Watered down vinegar, tepid, bland, overcooked chips for the price. Dirty inside the chip shop too. God knows what was in the curry sauce! Open on a Sunday, which is a bonus, but definitely won't be going back. Wouldn't recommend

Smiley's Plaice has always been our go-to spot for fish and chips. It's at a very convenient spot, and their portion sizes are good. We haven't had a bad experience with them whenever we order for takeout here. The staff is always friendly and the food is fresh.

We got the 2 Pizzas, a portion of chips and a bottle of drink deal from here and wow. Definitely going back here for food again and the pizzas are better than the leading brands.

The seating area is within the shopping centre, so first impression screams no frills. Which is exactly what I was expecting. I just wanted a quick coffee and a simple lunch. I ordered a latte and a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw. It cost £11.80. There was a bit of hanging about at the counter. It seemed like no one was really doing any one particular job, All scrabbling around getting in each others way. Anyway coffee was as made and I found a seat to wait for my food. I’m not sure really what to say about the food. I’m trying to find a positive! It was delivered by a pleasant waitress who was to be fair smiling and she did ask if I had everything I needed. So job well done for her. Simple should always be done well, I think. A jacket potato should be piping hot, salad should be crisp and fresh, coleslaw should be nicely chopped and seasoned or fresh from a container! The cheese should be melting from the heat of the spud right. Bonus points for a nice crispy potato skin. None of the above applied! Barely warm potato, struggling to even melt the butter. Limp, browning salad, almost naked chunks of cabbage and carrot for coleslaw. The cheese I can only describe as a light sprinkle of yellow dust. No bonus points for the leathery potato skin. Add this to weak lukewarm coffee. A Freezing cold seating area, pretty rubbish food and coffee makes it a no return for me.

Delicious food ample portion I couldn't manage it all but I enjoyed what I ate. Many thanks to the delivery driver. 😀

Pancakes stuck together and duck was to dry.. but ok dog done well out of it.. meal was nice but not as good as usual..

The burgers and fries here still taste exactly the same as this did in 1998 which is bizarre and cool. If you are peckish and it is late then be sure to make a pitstop here!

Excellent breakfast and exceptionally nice coffee. Spotlessly clean and friendly staff. Well worth a visit!!! Will visit again when in the area!

I never leave reviews but for this experience I felt I had to. Was unsure what to have to eat tonight, a bit fed up with the usual chippy or pizza so the wife said she fancied a Chinese but after reading the awful reviews we decided against it. We then spotted this little Thai takeaway and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was perfect from ordering to extremely friendly service on collection. I can highly recommend the Thai red curry with chef's special chilli rice, stunning. Thank you 😊
