Boswells Cafe in Wiltshire

Saw a few people I knew, most people not friendly 😕 pastor got a few things wrong, but I forgive.

Always good food. The staff are friendly. Tables clean. In a busy shopping mall with a great atmosphere. Plenty of parking right out side of the door.

Good place to watch a show. Don't sit down front much too loud. Poor acustics.

Overcooked eggs like rubber, undercooked bacon, sausages our dog enjoyed them. Coffee not included. Very expensive for a terrible breakfast. Good comfortable chairs.

Food is somewhat OK. Although £4.50+ for a brie and bacon toastie for it to come looking like it had one piece of bacon chopped tiny to cover the whole thing was quite diabolical for the price! Smoothie was delightful! But also £4.50+! However, my reason for the review was the very obvious lack of gloves during food handling. Whilst at the till to pay for my order I witnessed staff handle the exchange of cash form money and then proceed to stuff a baguette with cheese with bare hands. The germ spreading alone is very off putting. Not server had gloves of any form, not for food handling, not for making the salads where they again bare handedly touched everything on your plate. Salad bar area also looked lacking in freshness, everything was dry looking and wilted, where i can only assume its been sat for just a touch to long. Shame, very good location, staff generally OK, food handling and such is the dropping point. Very borderline average for quick hunger fixes.

Consistently good food at reasonable prices .Great service and excellent staff who are always friendly and helpful.

A lovely cafe with great vegetarian and gluten free choices where nothing was too much bother for the friendly staff. Good prices too. Well done!

I actually visited with a friend whose relatives are buried in the cemetery and while passing through in order to see the graves of some of my favorite people that I worked with either through the fire department, Boy Scouts or sadly, a few people that I attended school with, I wanted to go. I would like to compliment the maintenance staff for keeping the cemetery looking so good. My family owns plots and it is good to know that such care is being taken so that one day when we pass, we'll be in a beautiful place that will remain beautiful.

Looking for a new church but as soon as I saw the flag I immediately was turned off. I have gay friends don't get me wrong but I don't want to go to church with any flags flying except The American Flag. That should cover everyone here legally.

I find this cafe over priced for the snacks & very small meals. I ordered a bacon sandwich & on arrival the bacon was scant. More bread than anything & buttered only in the centre of the slice. Not very nice & certainly not worth the cost. .

My friend and I meet here often for coffee and to discuss life as we watch the world bustle by. The staff are very friendly and helped me when they saw me trying to juggle a shopping bag and tray. The food is well cooked and reasonably priced.

This place is great, so friendly and food is lovely, always hot. A good menu , can takeaway also. Will go again

Friendly Staff; good range of food whether you want a cookie, a slice of cake, a sandwich or something more substantial (e.g.: Baked Potatoes, immense Sausage rolls, Toasties, Panini’s or a Full English) Vegetarian options as well. The clientele are a mix of young and old; there are no steps. There is a slope between the lower and upper areas but it is easily navigable whether it’s a push chair or a wheel chair; there’s disabled parking within 50 meters.

Visiting Chippenham, walking through the Emery Shopping Mall,decided to have a coffee.Boswells looked very inviting,seating area situated in the middle of the walkway,ideal for people watching.Luckily We were not in any hurry.Four staff behind the counter,yet with only one person in front of me it took over 5 minutes to take my order.Very well stocked with rolls,paninis etc.Coffee not memorable,flat white served with nearly an inch of foam!If I had wanted froth on my coffee I would have opted for a latte.Will not be back.

Great service. Polite, friendly and helpfulFull English was very tasty and good value. Table service fron a cheerful lady.Great coffee..we had three cups! Clean and tidy surroundings.Having uses this as a takeaway, I can also say that tha Brie, bacon and cranberry baguette is great!Shopping centre toilets nearby are fineWheelchair access good.

This cafe is inside a shopping centre so is protected from the weather and traffic. Nice seating area. It was clean and tidy. You can see all the food on offer in the cabinets and they make your sandwich from scratch while you wait and bring it to your table. Other snacks and meals are available. Good pot of tea and a lovely freshly made sandwich. The price was very reasonable much cheaper than the Prets and Costas and much nicer. The staff were very very nice and well mannered. Will visit again when next in Chippenham.

Stopped off for a drink and muffin which was very tasty The staff were very friendly and I was served quickly. I sat on a sofa and was most comfortable I never go here when I am in Chippenham but will certainly return.

Good coffee ( not cheap!) and a good range of snacks. Gets busy at lunchtime so you might have a bit of a wait. Seating offered. Tables quickly cleared. Loos nearby in the shopping arcade. Good for a coffee and a snack lunch when shopping.

Stopped for a bite to eat late one Saturday lunchtime. Polite, friendly service at the counter and food brought to the table. Clean and convenient. Prime location in the centre of Emery Gate.

Nothing to write home about . The staff were all just ok. I ask for tea and a glass of milk which came in a PLASTIC cup . I had asked for a glass . We are trying to reduce the PLASTIC but these cafes are not helping. Nothing great here.

Popped in with my better half for a bite to eat and a hot drink. Friendly staff and service, food delivered to our table with a smile in next to no time. Highly recommend 5/5

While shopping in Chippenham with my wife we decided to have a coffee in Boswelks cafe in The Emery Gate shopping centre. We both had Latte as we have before and again was a vert good coffee on a cokd winters day. There was a good selection of food and snacks available including breakfasts.

Breakfast was ok sausages over cooked and re heated, how ever the service is good and Ashley the waiter restaurant team member was very cheerful and helpful and extremely polite .... which makes up for the sausages. Would’ve given 5 stars but worthy of 4 ..... clean and tidy place too as Ashley was doing a grand nod in the restaurant / eating areas ....

Bacon sandwich poor quality, overpriced!. Thin white bread, extremely fatty and greasy undercooked bacon and the sauce should be offered separately not already put in the sandwich as there was way too much sauce and so had saturated the bread.

The Boswsells experience! How wrong can you gte a bacon sandwich? Cheap, tissue thin bread, mired in grease - even without butter, and undercooked bacon with large fatty rinds. Oh yes, not forgetting the brown sauce, which I though would arrive in a sachet.Oh no, they kindly put it on for you - in vast quantities, ensuring that pretty soon the whole thing gives up and your fingers disappear into the disgusting pulp. They should be ashamed to serve this, but probably aren't. Avoid like the plague.

Great value for money, and decent quality simple fare that’s very tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Worth a visit for lunch.

Service with a smile. This was a quick meal having walked out of another eatery. It was quick, tastey and well worth a visit and saved the day.
