Best cod and chips I've had for a while. Not greasy, good portions, great spuds, lovely tasting fish with just the right amount of crispy batter which didn't leave me feeling queasy - like so many others have before.

Great food and huge portions - we have been going for a couple of years and can certainly recommend it.aside from the great fish and chips, The onion rings are superb - 10/10

Large cod is not very large for £7.90. Chips taste decent rest of menu is priced well except from the Cod. Cod tasted nice though.

Can't fault it. Best fish and chip shop in Chippenham. Good portion sizes. The batter is nice and crispy. We had chips battered cod and battered sausage with gravy and mushy peas. Lovely thank you!

Used to love it !! But was far to greasy and overpriced the large chips wasn't large ( used.to be ) the batter was soggy then crispy and at £7.50 I wasn't impressed . Only ate half as couldn't handle all the oil off the food :( disappointed to say the least the staff are lovely but I won't be wasting my money again ! Take away food gone down hill dramatically in chippenham

I arrived at the place at 9-40pm which is 20 minutes before closing time. The chips were soggy and the sausage was tired...

10/10 Absolutely perfectly cooked chips and the fish was lovely too. The other half had battered sausage and chips and he said 12/10 😂 Staff were friendly and I was particular with my salt and vinegar preferences but they accommodated my request without my feeling a nuisance.

Pretty awesome fish and chips shop there! Good job mate. We just happened to walk by and got a few minutes to spare before hopping on a train. Lucky we did. We had medium cod, which was tasty and crispy, they gave us a fresh one even though there was one already cooked, so we can have a fresh hot one. Sausage was also pretty good, juicy, not dry, just how I liked it. Chips were golden and crunchy as well. Nothing to complain about except my oily fingers. Yum. 😋

The guys at this chippy are the loveliest. So friendly and always make you feel welcome. Food is fab and the pickled eggs are my fave 😉

Today was the first time I have ordered here because I used to go to Langleys which got absolutely rubbish and poor quality. Station Hill fish and chips was absolutely amazing. The fish was absolutely fantastic, the sausages , chips chicken was also delicious. You have won more customers.

We love this place. Look forward to have the F&C's when we are in Chippenham visiting. Like Fish and Chips should be. 👍👍

Food was really poor, battered sausage was very dry and bland chips seemed like they had been sweating for a while. Sorry, won't be going back.

Ordered my order by Uber Eats, the driver didn't ring the doorbell or call me to tell me they had arrived. I live in an upstairs flat so wont be able to see them directly outside. They took a photo of my food on the doorstep and just vanished, taking the food with them. I called up the restaurant and they said it was Ubers problem. Not happy with the service considering their drivers don't seem to know what a doorbell is!!

I was very disappointed with my fish and chips tonight. Firstly I didn't ask for a large cod but a large cod is what they charged me. Then when I got home to eat it the fish had no taste and the batter was like cardboard. I didn't eat it in the end as I lost my appetite

I had a terrible experience at this fish and chip shop. Not only were the chips microwaved, resulting in a soggy texture, but the fish was also of extremely poor quality and had a very bad taste. To make matters worse, my friend also got food poisoning from this shop and has been suffering from diarrhea all day. I would not recommend this shop to anyone and would suggest avoiding it at all costs. The food here is not only subpar, but it also poses a health risk. It is unfortunate that such a bad food establishment still exists and still in business.

The food is nice. The online service provided is rubbish. The menu is unclear on uber eats. I've order on two separate occasions and had the exact opposite of issues. The first time I ordered cod. It didn't say that it came with chips so I pressed extra chips as that's the only option. I ended up having 2 portions of chips. The second time, I assumed that the items must come with chips be included and ended up with just a sausage. Please make the online ordering clear and constant as I have to place a second order, and having 2 orders to the same address always looks embarrassing

Unlike Langleys this chippy is still using low starch potatoes so expect crispy, fluffy golden chips. This is by far the best chippy now in town, sadly parking is a pain.

Haven't visited for a while, as this was our rehearsal night treat every Tuesday until Covid upset the applecart. But the food has always been wonderful and the staff are just cracking.

Our go to now, this chip shop is excellent, chicken better than kfc, best chips in town and a good range of other bits.

While the Fish & Chips is really nice the service isn’t. We always feel very unwelcome which is sad as we would like to use local businesses as they are about one minute away from us. We will try another place next time as the unfriendly people who doesn’t even say hello from behind the counter are making us feel uncomfortable.

Super yummy fish and chips, the best I ever had in my whole long life! Excellent , white yummy fish and chips the way I love, you feel proper potatoes taste. One regular portion is good enough for two adults, so next time I will order a smaller one. I will try all the menu and bet it's as yummy as the fish and chips I had. :-)

Went to this chippy on a visit to Chippenham & ended up with fish & chips in a box after waiting 25mins in a very short stand off queue. I thought that the orders where being done to order! But when I got mine it was just a soggy mush! Never again! - give it a wide birth!

I fancied fish and chips, didn’t know where to go so I looked at reviews and they were brilliant and really nice. They were absolutely delicious, and the premises are so clean and the people working there were so friendly and welcoming. The fish was enormous and the chips overwhelming in size! Delicious chips...no need for ketchup! We loved them!! No horrible taste of oil etc. I had a vegiburger...the best I've ever eaten Again, no evidence of what it was cooked in I chose garlic sauce which was applied in a very thin but tasty coating. My partner had a good helping of tasty white fish and loved the chips too. Wow! Best fish and chip shop ever! 😋

Perfect fish. Batter crispy all the way through as it should be. Great chips. The curry sauce and gravy are great, no microwaved styrofoam cups here.

Fresh and tasty. The owner has high standards even when it was very busy on friday night. Will definitely go back again! Very safe during covid-19 times too, only a few people allowed in at a time, and everything is contactless. Credit cards accepted

Just on a quick visit to Chippenham. The fish and chips were excellent but the mushy peas are not correct. They really were just processed peas. Proper Mushy peas originated in Nottingham and are wonderful. But again the fish and chips were great.

Decent enough fish and chip shop. Portions are big, the largest we've found in Chippenham and id say the quality is good every time we've been. The prices are probably about right given they're about proportional to the larger portions. They take card payments which oddly seems rare even in COVID restrictions for F&C shops...

Great gluten free support with separate friers running on Tues and Thurs. Very friendly, good value and you can ring ahead with any orders.

Haddock too big for the plate! Beautifully cooked with non greasy batter. Better than Seahouses Northumberland. Excellent.

Would rather contact the shop directly than leave a review but no contact details available. Obviously I understand that service isn’t as straight forward at the moment so the 50 minute wait wasn’t a huge issue. We ordered 3 burgers and a portion of chips. One burger bun was fine, the second slightly burnt and the third completely incinerated (will attach image) as well as the burgers themselves being very tough. Real shame as we’ve heard great reviews of your food so were looking forward to a treat. However, as you can see from the picture mine was completely inedible.

Glad this place has reopened during lockdown , with safety measures in place. Have missed a friday cod and chips greatly, so it’s great to have that enjoyment again. Fresh Fish, Great chips! Fantastic! Very friendly staff too, this place is a weekly staple at our household.

The only Fish and Chip Shop open during lock down in Chippenham. First time vist, had to que due to social distancing (2 in 2 out) Have to say though, what amazing food and friendly service. Couldn't believe the size of the Cod! Looking forward to the next visit. Well done and stay safe.

Absolutely superb, our first time in this establishment, definitely won’t be the last. Menu is varied, cater for vegetarians too. First impressions certainly count, cleanliness 5*, personality of staff 5*, speed of service 5*, freshness of food 5*, quality of food 5*, price of food 5*. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

This fish and chip shop is a two minute walk from Chippenham Station. I was waiting for a train and feeling peckish, so it was a brilliant find. The staff were very friendly. The fish and chips were extremely well cooked and tasty. I ordered the daily special of medium fish and chips. I was given a large portion of perfectly cooked chips (fluffy inside and crisp outside) and a large piece of delicious, flaky code in a crisp batter - both yummy! They cost just £6. A coke was an additional £1. According to their menu, they also serve pies, fried chicken and burgers. The restaurant looked spotlessly clean.
