The Crispy Cod in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This is our go to takeaway. We have it delivered and is always on time, or early. Fantastic food, great portion sizes and really friendly delivery drivers. Service with a smile.

All really nice food from the crispy cod, we've been using them for years and never had a bed meal. The food is fresh amd tasty, best in our area with out a shadow of doubt.

Just ordered the meat feast 14 inch stuffed crust pizza the dough is perfect,crispy but not too crispy.. can't complain especially being a Friday night.. better than dominos or local takeaways definitely would recommend!

This is definitely Cornwall's go to take away. Food is always well cooked, delicious and always arrives piping hot. Special mention to Mark who expertly ensures my kebab has just the right amount of garlic yoghurt on it and keeps us informed of delivery times. Recommended items include Chicken Shish Kebab, Jumbo battered sausage and crispy coated mushrooms.

Like all take away it's more expensive, but very tasty.

The chips were small and like crispy and the fish was dry and 1/2 the size and very thin, normally the food is very good but today it was terrible

First night of our holiday and we looked around for a fish and chip shop close to us with a good amount of good reviews after a 6 hour drive. We were looking forward to it but instead the chips were very hard, the fish tasted burnt as well as the sausages. We ended up having a few bites and it went in to the bin so wasted £16.

Been using the crispy cod for a while now always excelent but the last 3 times the batter has been soft and wet and the chips dry and tasteless...bloody shame i called them about my last order togive them a heads up but tonight was pretty awfull too....as i say a shame as it was so so once good.... Nov 5th..Its now months later and decided to give this place another chance as it was once so good.. so orderd a couple of large portions of chips and no fish as the fish and chips were so bad the last 3 times ...and am pleased to say the chips were great again..so am going for the fish aswell next time..hoping the poor stuff we had in the past was just a blip as i see theyve moved to a new place now...Bit cheesed off that no one came back to say why it was so bad before after all i paid good money for it....any way hope it stays as good ....👌👍 So thought we would try again... And was delighted with our takeaway tonight...in fact it was one of the best fish and chips weve had in years...keep it up.xx Have not had anything from the crispy cod in a while so decided to give it another go and was delighted with our meal Fish was lovely and fresh and chips were very nice in fact weve had them the last three weeks excellent food ..keep it up.

Most importantly the food is great, the mixed kebab I had, the meat was the best I have tasted and the cod my wife had was stated as the best fish she has ever had, also, the largest large fish I have seen. We stayed near Newquay, which means this takeaway is basically mid way between Lizard, st Ives or the rest of the end of Cornwall. It was so good we went back 3 days in a row after day trips to the aforementioned places. The service is great, it will get busy sometimes so may be worth using their 'the crispy cod' app to pre order for collection on your way there. If you wait the short time or not, they seem to always have fresh cooked for order, the price is fairly reasonable, and the fish is less expensive than other places we have been around the English coast.

Brilliant food good service fast delivery

Ordered online, took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. They didn't include the drinks I paid for, let them know and they said they are busy so will deliver them in 30 minutes. Never did get those drinks.

Fabulous cod & chips! We are in St Anges on holiday and struggled to find a fish and chip shop open. My husband went to this chip shop and was served by the most helpful guy. Fish was fresh, white as can be be no black bits, thin and not greasy batter and chips were beautiful. 4 cod and 2 chips £34! Absolutely thrilled. Wonderful stay in dinner. Definitely recommend and open until 10:30pm is another bonus! Thank you we will be back!

Best kebab in Redruth....Adam has definitely upped his game and hands down beats all others in the area...great portion size and quality....asked for my chicken to be extra grilled and was cooked too crispy perfection... also added extra chilli peppers that arrived in a separate tray no extra charge....fantastic food ....bravo 👏 and thank you for a top notch kebab crispy cod!!

The cod was the best we have had in a long time!

Very friendly staff. Was impressed by the many types of takeaway offered under one roof, yet everything had it's separate sections and even separate staff to look after those areas. The problem sometimes with trying lots of different foods can be that you become a 'master of none', but that wasn't the case here. The fish and chips offering we're expecting as I hoped, also chips cooked in vegetable oil (best choice), and the southern fried chicken had the tastiest, crispiest coating that was at least as good as, if not better than the famous big chain. I recommend a try if you've not before, and I certainly will be again

Just had a home delivery, firstly the driver was super friendly secondly the food was delicious!! Chips were the best we have had and the chicken wraps were huge and tasty! Thank you will definitely be ordering again :)

We have used crispy cod many times with no issues but unfortunately, tonight we ordered with a delivery time of 17.38 and we are still waiting at 19.35. I have tried calling but can't get through. 😕

I ordered fish and chips. The fish was like chewing through leather and the chips were bland. The Fish isn't local for Cornwall it's shipped from the Atlantic. This place is expensive and should be exiled. I would avoid this cheap over priced junk anyday of the week.

Amazing fish and chips, so good that we went back within 2 days while on holiday. Looking forward to visiting Cornwall in a few months again so I can get another portion of fish and chips from the crispy cod in Redruth.

ALL the food was refried and oily and tasted like it was reheated from the day before. Do not recommend ordering takeaway from here, the worst kebab and fries I've ever had in my life, super salty and greasy. I have no clue how literally anyone could give it a 5-star.

Absolutely horrendous prices at absolutely ridiculous delivery tried to order at 4:40 as they open at 4:30 and got told they had stopped taking orders until 6:15 so if you want something to eat before supper time don't bother with this place

Just had large chips sausage curry sauce . Large chips was more like a small cold and nearly all bits will never go back also cash only. Stick to Cousin Jacks.

We have been using crispy cod for approx 7 years now. The staff are lovely, Adam is a really nice guy. Their fish and chip side is faultless but if you dare to order a kebab with preferences i.e. no onions, no sauce, no coleslaw - we always get what we didn't want. Their food is fresh and flavoursome and they provide generous healthy portion sizes but this one thing brings great sadness. We go over it on the phone with the chap who takes the orders but we get coleslaw and garlic sauce when that is never wanted. Chicken shish kebab came with lamb doner meat, again not wanted. This happens time and time again - it is incredibly frustrating and annoying.

No other chip shops open as it was Sunday. Fabulous food and great service.

The food was absolutely amazing! Wasn't expecting it to be so good, my only problem is that is a bit pricey. If it was just a little cheaper I'd have given it five stars. Staff are also polite and the service was super fast so it was perfect for someone like me who has social anxiety.

Ordered online at 6pm for a 7.30pm delivery restaurant confirmed the order phoned at 8.15 as no food arrived to be told very rudely pre ordering didn't guarantee a time but was on its way !! When it did arrive at 8.30 was cold and inedible!! waste of time complaining will never order from them again!!

I arrived on a late train home after a business meeting and even close to closing the staff were really accomodating to feed me unlike other establishments further up the road I tried beforehand. Brilliant customer service and many thanks to you all. Just don't go anywhere else tbh

Guy took my order, would only do cash, then shouted something to the others, not one of them took any notice. There are so many staff standing around doing nothing and i'm waiting and waiting 30+ mins for kebab and some chips. I got the food within 5 mins after i complained then I'm offered a can of coke as compensation. Then they're all looking at me in disgust for complaining. I will not return, totally useless..

One of only 3 places that deliver to our village and we are so grateful that they do! Food is always lovely and they have the best pizzas by far. We’ve had an issue with an order before which was sorted very quickly. The delivery driver is super friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Food is lovely from crispy Cod although forgot my can of dr pepper and messed my pizza up they re did my whole order which is lovely of them and the delivery driver was so apologetic deffo will still order from crispy Cod.

Online order placed, kept pending for over half an hour, took money, tried to call toget confirmation of order and no answer on the telephone. Now need to try and get my money back!!!

Ordered online earlier and i thought I'd selected 17:50 for delivery but my confirmation said 16:35 - I obviously ballsed up. Popped down before they opened at 4:30 to ask tgem to deliver later as I didnt want them to cook the food and it go to waste. They were good as gold, slotted us in at 6pm, and they called to tell me when it was leaving the shop. Tge food was hot and very tasty. Big.portions too. Thanks guys, good food and great service.

August '21. Decent fish & chip meal sizes & very nicely cooked fish, although the chips are a bit greasy. However I have never had sweet mushy peas before & would rather not have them again, it's just not right!

Food not so great low quality staff are friendly, bout one of the only places to eat so by default you will eat here just don't expect too much
