These really are the best pasties in Newquay! The personal customer service experience is second to none. Our son’s pasty was instantly replaced by the staff following the local seagulls demonstrating their love of the pasties too with a well executed snatch and grab!! If you are around Newquay get yourself down to Jamies 👍👍

Great pasty. Was searching around for a place to get one. This happened to be cheaper than the ones we found, but better. The guy in there served quick, the pasty itself was really cooked well. Would recommend if you want a traditional pasty.

Lovely service with a big smile. We've visited here twice during our stay in Cornwall and the traditional pasties are delicious; richly flavoured with a good kick of pepper and the pastry is top notch. I'm looking forward to sampling a cheese and onion pasty when we are back in August.

Very disappointing, our pasties were cold and lacked flavour. Unfortunately they ended up in the bin. I bought them at 3pm on a Saturday but even so they should have been hot and tasty. Perhaps we were just unlucky

Today my kids and I conducted a review of all* the pasty shops in Newquay. We were so impressed with Jamie’s (who won on almost all counts) that the kids made them a certificate! *we tried 5 different pasties

This is by far the best pasty shop I've been to. The pastys are soo good with a great selection of fillings. The staff are really friendly too. Came home today happily with my box of 10 pastys

I've never eaten at Jamie's but been having his Pasties & Steak Pasties for some 5yrs,my friend lives in Newquay and brings them up to the West Midlands when she visits family

Very nice pasties with fantastic filling, had the steak and stilton and lamb and mint. Both pasties were cooked fantastically and being from Bolton we know a thing or 2 about a good pasty! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Saw the venue while wandering Newquay and saw signs stating their pasties are award-winning. Decided to purchase one and got some cash ready to pay, only to be told they only take card payments, and there was no sign to state this. I walked away and found another bakery that accepted my cash.

Nice food although I had a red Thai chicken pasty. Just tasted like a chicken bake. Nothing Thai about it. Wife had lamb and mint which was amazing

Used to go to the Cornish Bakery as they were my fave. But we went by there today and they were totally rude to us so we left in search of another spot. We know there is always a queue outside Jamie’s so we figured it must be good and indeed it was! Gorgeous cheese & onion. Flakier pastry and more filling than the other spot. And super friendly service too! I’ve got a new fave spot for my annual pasty pilgrimage!

A must try Cornish Pastie if you visit Newquay high street near Fistral beach. They have good options for vegetarian. We tried spicy vegetable one and it was superb!

Food was quite good, unfortunately there is nowhere to sit down.

We stumbled upon this shop when strolling through Newquay in June 2023. We loved the unique pasty flavours and decided we would come back when ready to eat. We noticed a young man in the window above on of the "Jamie's favourite" pasties and jokingly asked him if he was Jamie. He wasn't, but the whole shop had a joke and a laugh with us. So friendly were the staff, even when we weren't buying anything although we told them we would be back later and I suggested in the moment a photo of "Jamie" which he was willing to do, and when we invited the whole staff to join in, they were friendly and genuine, as you can see from the smiles on their faces in my impromptu photo. What a great vibe, and true hospitality. You wouldn't get this at Gregg's!! And for the record when we came back for the Lamb and Mint and the English Breakfast pasty later on, they were delicious! Do check them out when in Newquay for great food and positive vibes!

We had a beautiful selection of pasties from the lovely lady serving us this afternoon. Very friendly service and delicious pasties. Highly reccomended

I only wanted a pasty, I asked for a cheese and onion pasty, went to pay. And was told it was cash only, I said oh sorry i didn't realise and i don't have a card on me. When a woman behind the counter, Said quite abruptly, Well it does say there quite clearly we don't accept cash. This made my mood low. I would advise anyone who has a nervous disposition or any mental health or even disability to not go here.

These people clearly have an issue with people that don't have a bank card! Went to order 2 pasties, went to pay cash. Sorry we don't take cash. I reply that I don't have a card. The guy at the front says sorry but there's no bank in Newquay (which is a lie because there's two 10 mins away) so I said "You're refusing money, that's a bit silly!" Not said in a nasty way or anything, just a bit puzzled why a shop would refuse money! Wow, then a bloke standing at the back of the shop (who I believe is the manager too) unleashed the most disgraceful customer service I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing! "That's your problem' was what he said to me and not in a nice way, he was vile, aggressive and extremely rude. I was totally taken aback by the aggressiveness of him and told him that if that's his style of customer service then we'd definitely be buying our food from elsewhere! He then started shouting at me it's my problem again and to get out of the shop! A complete over reaction to the situation, so as I left I let him know that he'd be having some interesting reviews from me and letting all his customers outside the shop know what shocking customer service there was and that the staff spoke to their customers like utter crap. We went 2 minutes further into the town and bought 2 beautiful pasties for £2 less than Jamie's at Rowe's Bakery. Definitely recommend them! And they had no issue in taking a cash payment either. As we left Newquay later on by car, we drove past the Lloyds and Barclays banks that apparently don't exist!

We all had 3 Steak In Gravy Cornish Pasty and have to say that the steak was lovely and tender with lots of flavour

We ordered 4 different pasties. Mostly excellent but the Chicken and Chrizo was a little spicy. Can’t wait to try some more flavours

I ordered a cheese and onion, Also two traditional ones. Both very nice. Could do with slight more filling. But very tasty and would buy again. Yum yum.

A great selection of tasty pasties right in the middle of Newquay! Some traditional flavours and some a little bit different but staff are polite and it’s worth the money- seem to thinks it’s card payment only tho..?

We always get a cornish pasty from here when we visit Cornwall! They are very nice and I was even able to purchase two frozen ones to bring back all the way to Norfolk for my parents to try.

Decent enough pasty tho there are a lot of equally as good places to get good pasties here, and not great enough to go back. Served by a very sullen young girl who clearly didn't think the slogan on the window "smile, its pasty time" applied to her

Been here a few times for pasties. Always a quick service and the pasties are delicious. They have a great selection of pasties including vegan. Price is average.

We had a traditional and a veggie. Both were really good! We ordered when they were super busy over the lunch hour, but we were still served really quickly.

Great pasties, some of the best we had in Cornwall, and they had just come out of the oven 😁 Service was fab too!

Ive been to Jamie's pastry shop every time I go to newquay staff brilliant polite and very friendly the traditional cornish pastry is fantastic and the lamb and mint delicious would not go anywhere else for a lunch pastry every time I go to newquay keep up the great work we will be back next year many thanks

First time using this pastie shop wish I had tried earlier they have a good range of pasties but tried the traditional Cornish one plenty of fillings and piping hot only taking card payments due to COVID but don’t be put if by this you would missing out

Good pasties. Member of staff at the door was really nice and very friendly.

Had bad experience of steak and gravy pasty else where so was reluctant to try another. Was advised theres was finely chopped and not just full of veg and was full of meat and gravy. Was very satisfied, it was beautiful! She even said if I didnt enjoy it to come back and she would swap it for a couple of sausage rolls which I thought was really nice but there was no need. Very enjoyable

Good filling in these pasties and great choice. Recommend the Thai red chicken. Boys chose these pasties over a Burger King so they must be good!

Paid three days earlier for 25 pounds worth of pasties for family as we were visiting cornwall. We arrived no one was there we waited for thirty minutes, then we rang the number, she said nothing was in the book i then showed her my receipt she said it was invalid she then came to open her shop told us she was ignoring us as she couldn’t be arsed and told me to go away then made her cuppa in front of us and walked upstairs. Overall, very bad customer service, still need a refund, wouldn’t pay a visit or support the business.

We ordered £24.50 worth of pasty's to pick up on 0730. We went to the shop and no one was in! At 0800 we returned, the Lady that was in the shop was the rudest person we have ever met! The Pasty’s were not ready and we did not receive a refund. This is not the first time she has spoken to a customer with a horrendous attitude. Please do not go to this shop, if you want a good pasty with good customer service they are loads within 50 meters of this shop.

This pasty shop has a well deserved place at my number one spot of pasty shops. I’m glad it is world champion because it deserves to be. Best pasty ever I recommend to everybody 😁👍🏼

Nothing at all wrong with the food absolutely lovely, but it was the rudeness of a staff member that left a bitter taste in our mouths. Two staff behind counter was friendly and ready to help and then someone came out from the back shouting get out get out I don’t want to catch covid, we was wearing masks and was also social distancing so if she is that scared maybe she shouldn’t be at work! To treat paying customers like that was totally uncalled for...

Returned here a couple of times during our stay. Great pasties cooked fresh, loads of flavour. Plenty of fillings to choose from. We opted for the traditional.

Lives up to the name it’s so good! We had the classic, cheese onion and lamb mint and all were great. Lamb mint was my favourite. Will be back. Also cute paper bag design

They have a range of different flavours in their pasties- from Thai curry, Stilton, chilli and more. Unfortunately, they didn't have the 2 flavours I wanted when I visited, but what we did have was delicious. I personally find all pasties are far too thick and these were no exception. I also can't stand it when they are so oily, that the bag they are in becomes transparent! Great filling flavours, but pastry not for the health conscious!

Bought Cornish Pasties here but not too sure what all the fuss is about. Not to everyone's liking

Had a few pasties from here and they were lovely. Steak and stilton was so nice. We had some from Warrens and they were vile. So glad we found this place to get our Cornish fix. Loved it and highly recommend.

Our pasties were pretty rubbish to be honest. Hardly any flavour what so ever and pretty flat. I wouldn't recommend coming here.

My holiday hasn't truly started until I've had my first pasty from here. It like some sort of drug and I get all twitchy and excited until I get my fix. 1 chicken and chorizo pasty later.......aaaand relax. On a serious note, these guys know their pasties, and are quite possibly the best in Cornwall. I even managed to smuggle one back to Yorkshire and stuck it in the oven 2 days later, just as good. Oh well, only another 11 months 2 weeks to go till my next fix.

Been coming here for years. Pretty much tried every pasty in the shop. They're all really good and freshly made. But my particular favourite is the Chicken and Chorizo, which is like something dropped down from heaven . Will be back again .....and again........and again. Never been let down yet

Nice pasty but only ever had ginsters. So compared to a ginsters it is better. Customer service was good. Fast service.

A wide range of pasties to chose from

Popped in for some pasties as this place had been recommended & we were not disappointed. Husband had steak pasty which he said was so tasty & quite peppery, just how he likes it. Daughter tried Bacon & Cheese turnover & said it was yummy, so a thumbs up from her. I had a sausage roll which I reheated the next day & was also very nice. Husband did want to try an original pasty but were all sold out when we got there, gentleman behind counter was really nice & helpful & told us he was open until 5 & to come back as he had more cooking, but sadly we did not get the chance. Compared to the other pasty shops they seemed to be flying off the shelf's here, a lot of variety & reasonably priced. My husband had a few pasties during our stay & said these were by far the best.

We was looking at the numerous pastie shops and when looking in a window this lady said go round the corner they are the best. So we did and she was right.The Red Thai Pastie is absolutely a winner not to much crust or edge and they’re not sat in the window for hours there so fresh, that good I was gutted it wasn’t in Polzeath.If your in Newquay and want a pastor, go Jamie’s Pastie shop!

Service: Quick Service Food: AMAZING PASTIES, they were perfect. Thick layer of fillings, with pastry that wasn’t thick and chewy.

I wasn’t going to review this place but after the service I had I feel I need to. We asked for two Cornish steak pasties and a sausage roll. Half way through mine I think ‘where’s the meat?!’ Turns out it was a vegetarian one. My 3 year old bites into his sausage roll (actually took 3 bites to get to the sausage as the thing is almost pure pastry) it looked raw so I took it back hoping to exchange it. On my return the woman who served me was clearly annoyed. She exchanged my pasty and gave me the money back for the sausage roll, all whilst giving me attitude about how it was cooked and she’s done it for twenty years so she would know. She’s never had any complaints, it’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with it. She’s never had this before, it’s definitely cooked. At this point I’m silent as I feel I’m being told off. When she had finished her (what I would call) rant - I explained it was for a toddler and I wasn’t risking it and then left quickly whilst she was still moaning.Round the corner we purchased another sausage roll which was less pastry and was cooked properly!My traditional steak pasty was bland, boring and again just so much pastry. Had the ladies attitude towards me been better I may have given a better review.

I bought from here and had one from another place but this was by far the nicest tasting i think they buy them from the same supplier as alot of shops advertise premier cornish pasties.But the way this shop cooks them is superb the pastry is just the right amount of crispness and the flavour comes through.They may all come from one supplier but its the way it is cooked that makes the difference i hope to pop down on the motorbike for a flying visit to stock up and for the hell of it.This place is small/tiny but cooks the pasties real good.

There are lots of places that you can get pasties in Newquay, but this place is great. The staff were really friendly and great to chat to about the area. They have a choice of lots of different flavours; beef and stilton, red thai chicken, cheese and broccoli.. etc. etc. We had a traditional Cornish pasty which was delicious. The meat in it was really tender and there was no gristle. Would definitely recommend!

Not the best pasty I've ever had but open late on weekends if you fancy a pasty when tipsy.
