Just a quick piece of cod one afternoon , which was outstanding. Freshly cooked, lovely batter. I will stick this in the top 5 pieces of fish I’ve had from a chipper ever.

If I could leave zero reviews I would. Stank like an ashtray inside, terrible rude cold service and I can’t call what we were served chips. They were inedible. Worst chips I’ve ever tasted. Pale anaemic and hard.

Lovely clean and tidy place and the owner couldn't do enough to make our lunch a good experience. Freshly cooked and generous portions Highly recommended

Under new management, this is by far the worst food I've had, cold and small portions chips are under cooked (not a crispy one) I ordered x large kebab and large chips

Only negative this time was that my fish didn’t seem as freshly cooked as usual.

All very tasty but the large chips is no longer large but finding this at most chippys and the fish did not taste like cod it was too strong a flavour. All cooked well and I was damned hungry I had been in attic most of the day so went down well.

Just had southern fried chicken n chips .... Best I've had in years ... Perfect chips and tasty chicken .... Well worth every penny.

For a Saturday evening you’d have thought everything would have been cooked fresh. No. Reheated chips, battered sausage obviously left over from lunchtime, dried out piece of haddock and almost solid plain sausages. Not fresh, not tasty, not good.

We were on our way to Lizard Point, and we stopped off in falmouth looking for fish and chips. Well the fish and chips here are the best we've had. The staff are so friendly, and polite. This fish is cooked to order. The fish is so fresh, fluffy and white. The batter is to die for. So crunchy, and not wet. Reasonably priced too. Definetly recommend everyone to try their fish and chips.

Chip portion was,nt a large chips also never received the can of drink ordered with it. Savaloy was tasteless but on the plus side the Pukka pie was great

Fish, burger, chicken and chips all cold. Fish batter was horrible so left to eat the cold Fish alone. I have raised a complaint but as yet still awaiting an apology and credit a week later. I will not be using again until this is resolved. Terrible experience. I received a notice 25mins prior to delivery time so driver was obviously dropping off many orders and let mine go cold.

Been a couple of times, seems it may have changed ownership. Nowhere near as good as before. Chips cold and hard. Portions are are very poor. A large chips hardly feeds one.

All good, apart from sending me a can of Coke instead of the 1.5 litre bottle I ordered.

Great as always. Salt and Vinegar are our “go-to”’for fish and chips. Food is always excellent, can’t fault them.

No great quality food was barely warm and the sausage was rock hard and ypu couldn't cut it

Batter was wet and soggy. Sausage were dry and could clearly tell all the food had been left in the display cabinet all day. Horrible food. Wouldn’t ever eat there again.

Others in our group were having Cornish Pasties (not Gluten Free) from a local bakers. I had a portion of gluten free chips from here and they were great. Large portion, not too greasy and great taste. Others in our group also tried them and agreed they were very nice chips. The guy also said that they did gluten free fish. One to return to next time I’m in Falmouth as at £2.90 a portion it’s on a par with others.

Tasty food, big portions delivered in time stated.

I ordered cod, chips mushy peas and a cup of tea - and ate inside. Everything was fine: decent piece of cod cooked right, light batter, tasty mushy peas. Service was quick and friendly. Cost £11:80 which I think is a fair price these days. I would rat there again.

Popped in on a visit to Falmouth, average chippy really, can't fault the fish and chips, bit pricey but ok, friendly bloke behind the counter, service was ok.

Quick shopping trip in Falmouth and decided to get some chips for lunch. S & V had nobody in there so popped in and ordered 2 chips, 2 curry sauce and a jumbo sausage to share. Was a little wait for them but we sat in the window and watched the world go by. Was worth the wait. Chips were freshly cooked and were delicious. Right amount of fat ones and thin bitty ones. Sausage was equally delicious. Curry sauce was the best we've had in a long time. All a good price too. Will definitely be back next time we're in Falmouth.

Chips were cold and overcooked. And I had to wait to be served while a conversation took place between the staff. I Threw chips in the bin as I could not finish them. Won't be using this place again.

Saveloy tasted of nothing. Ketchup clearly laced with extra vinegar.

The battered sausage was unadvisedly. The batter was rock hard. It was like it had been sitting in the shop all day in the display cabinet and wasn’t even remotely frsh. Would never eat for my here again. Terrrible food.

Perhaps not the cheapest in Falmouth but all 4 of us enjoyed our meals (I can vouch for the chicken schnitzel) and they were served with a smile and without much delay. A lovely view from our window table as well!

We’re from out of this area, so big risk with the unknown of a takeaway but this meal was delicious. Easy to order, tasty food and quick delivery with a friendly driver.

I’m not usually one to leave bad feedback but my food was very greasy I couldn’t eat it.

There is something rather special about eating fish and chips on the harbour wall in Cornwall and the Salt & Vinegar made that happen for us at Falmouth.

Ordered from salt and vinegar numerous times before but today was a massive disappointment. The cod was soggy and tasteless along with the sausage and the chips were undercooked. Wont be ordering from them anytime soon if ever.

chips were under cooked and greasy, the fish was even more greasy than the chips, the curry sauce was soup watered down I mean it was really unedible how the whole dinner was a waste of over £20 such poor quality

Excellent and delicious with generous portion sizes. One large cod was twice as large as another large cod in a different fish and chip shop. Was also early by 2 minutes. Shame about the £2 delivery fee - but it was still worth it.

Absolutely disgusting;delivered in a broken bag, had to support the bottom due falling apart Every bag was saturated in fat and fell apart in pieces in trying to open. The chicken salad was very spicy, not what we ordered. So disappointed, as having had many lovely meals in the past. Never again.

Fantastic sized portions, friendly staff AND the only place we found that stays open until 10pm....IN A HOLIDAY LOCATION. Could not fault this fish and chip shop. Highly recommended
