Many fond childhood memories as I grew up eating from here - and it has always remained a favourite. Very friendly staff, great food and good price.

Fish excellent but the chips were awful, they were brown and looked overcooked.

Very nice people. I just wish they would cook my chips fresh, the stuff they have left near close is not the best.

Very dissatisfied with the chips as not only were a lot bruised but they also had more eyes than a peacock’s fanned tail.

Chips were over cooked, n hard , I felt really sick 🤢 after eating them and for the next 24 hours. Shame, because the ladies are so nice in their. I would not got back for a takeaway again

Disgusted made a mistake as I wanted it delivered .phone straight back and was told to cancel online even though she had the order in front of her on her tablet .but insisted I cancel online which I did and get told I still have to pay the amount as they could not deliver and was preparing the food .this was all with two minutes will never use again .

Beautiful ladies serving and beautiful pies and chips! After a crazy day or 2 dashing around moving house this was exactly the welcome we needed to the area 💖

Disappointed, not visited for a while. Was excellent under old management. Have used since new ownership. This evening food was not usual standard, chips looked like been heated up from lunch opening (visited around 6.30) BBQ dry. Think that’s me done £12.00+ definitely not quality or value for price

Had two Moussaka recently plus large salad good size portions but no flavour dry no aubergine,filled out with more potato overall very bland, Biggest shock was the price ! At £27.80 for a takeaway is frankly disgusting i appreciate things have gone up but really ? Will be our last visit as can get better elsewhere, a real shame as used to be so good.

Been using this takeaway for decades - without exception everything was always 1st Class - you could judge this yourself by the queues of hungry customers that always greeted you - who were always served promptly & with care. Then the shop changed hands - lovely new owners however the quality & attention to detail seriously began to drop in standard - so what what always a weekly (sometimes twice weekly visit) became monthly - then became quarterly - last week we thought we'd give them a try again & have it delivered into us ........ Chicken OK, Chips massive quantity but all poor quality, cooked & recooked, Salad without flavour, Garlic Mayonnaise nowhere near the flavour or quality of previous. Come on Chicken BBQ - you've got everything it takes to be the very best, you were & you can be again, loyal customers, lovely staff, spotlessly clean, prime spot location, parking - please put your heart into it again. Saddening to see - little to no recent reviews - Chicken BBQ been an absolute 'institution' for all who live this side of town.

Lovely, always come here when I come to Bristol. Unfortunately they have decided to go back in time and not take card payments anymore. They will lose a lot of trade.

my order came to £45.58 including delivery. including chicken wing. No chicken wing and no way of getting one delivered. chips plenty... chicken...none

The staff who work here are friendly. The Greek salad lovely. Always love come for chicken as well. Food still warm went I got home. Carly gives very good customer service. Everyone is served very fast.

We have used this chip shop for many.many years but since it has changed hands its hit and miss if you get a decent take away. We gave them a try last night, the chicken wing had long hairs on it and it was dried out and hard as a brick. We binned it.Such a shame as it used to be lovely

This is our prefered for fish & chip shop, it is just around the corner and we usually order by phone. The food is tasty and the staff are friendly but professional.

Ive used this chip shop for many years, and staff are always warm and polite. But consistency is lacking, you can have three really good meals there and then as happened this week you get a bad one. The chips we had were horrible, hard, and to be honest really weird colour, we ate a few and had to bin the rest. For me this has been a reoccurring theme which is a real shame.

The single best takeaway in the area,really friendly and helpful with an amazing range of freshly prepared food.

The service is friendly and helpful beyond what you expect and the fish and chips are really tasty, traditional and generous. We don't get them often but we always get them here.

I ordered a large piece of cod with chips - waited for the fish to be cooked and it was excellent. However the chips were re-heated leftovers from the night before, they were hard and tasteless. At £8.50 (ish) I'm disgusted, will not be going there again!

I've been going here since I was a child. As an adult this place is still at treat. The best ever. Staff always friendly, food always hot, wonderful and fills me with happy. Do not make the mistake of getting chips from elsewhere. The omelettes are especially delicious.

My mum used to buy us chips from here as a child and now I am doing the same ,quality tasty food and excellent service every time

I visit this shop last week, I didn't check the menu, I bought 3 mini sausages and a small chips. I'm sorry to say chips was good but sausage where dry, I had the chips nice one. £6 it was the most expensive chips (small) I paid for.

We have had food from here several times over the years. Tonight’s food was terrible. Fish was dried out and batter was tough, cheeseburger hardly had any cheese and forgot to put the sauce in it. Very disappointing.....

I've been going to this place for years, now that's a great recommendation! Best omelettes in Bristol, although that's not mentioned in the name. Obviously the usual fish shop goodies plus extra surprises (you have to try the Greek salad 🥰) Give it a try.

Worst experience ever; really rude staff: after being told to take a sit they told me I couldn’t eat in because it was too late (2,5hours before closing time!!) and my omelette was definitely undercooked, at the point I couldn’t eat it. Never again, Would never recommend it

Great food great chips everything is freshly cooked for you.You can phone them your order then pop in and pick up and pay or you can sit in and eat very clean lovely staff could not ask for more.

Breast of chicken and chips are gorgeous. Outstanding omelette's as well and Greek salad. Remember Sun Valley? Just like that! Staff are so friendly, they treat you like you're one of the family.

This take away do wonderful omelettes but the burger was very disappointing. The burger was limp with no relish or mayo and no salad. Would always recommend the omelette as tasty and well made.

Only place I know where they do potatoes scallops. They are lush. Chicken is great along with everything else. Need to try an omelette at some point as watch them being made and they look so good.

This has obviously changed hands since our last visits which, on those occasions, were always first class over the years. On Saturday evening we both had chicken and chips. Chips looked cooked and were hot, but some were completely raw potato, not sure how they managed that! Chicken was chewy, like eating rubber. It must have been hanging around for ages and completely dried out. Never again, a complete waste of money as food ended up in the bin.

We called into this establishment purely by chance and were very pleasantly surprised as it was now under new management and had been completely refurbished. The food we had was well prepared and very tasty and we certainly will be calling again in the very near future. The staff and new owner were very pleasant and welcoming and the portions were more than adequate. The omelettes are certainly the biggest I have ever seen and very very tasty one is enough for two unless you have a giant appetite

This takeaway looks amazing. The decor inside is lovely, and looks very clean. Staff very pleasant too. However, the food was not very nice. Greasy sausage, tasteless faggot, and the chicken curry ( served with orange rice!! ) was horrid. First and last visit sadly.

Expect large portions, good ole home cooked style food. Staff are friendly and happy to help with what ever you need. Under new owners service and food quality has not changed at all! There are lots of food options to choose from and cod bites are great for the kids! If your feeling hungry go for a chicken and chips with Greek salad! Unlike some this place holds its own not only as a food place but stands proud continuing strong as a part of the community! :)

Have been buying my fish n chips, sausages n chips, in fact anything with chips from the chicken BBQ since I was approx 16years old. Always great service & food. Recently it has changed ownership but the service & quality are still there

Although this is a fast food outlet food and staff are great. For the price you can't beat the chips and chicken.If you want something quick to eat and not too healthy this is definatly the one.

I have been using this Chicken Bar for many years,family owned and run by very friendly Greek Cypriots. The quality and quantity has remained constant over many years. My personal favourite is a Chicken leg small chips and a Greek salad, my second favourite is a house special omelette with chips. Keep it up, and thank you for many good suppers over many years

Very good Greek salad. I understand the family are Greek so should know what they are doing. The chicken is there main thing and do it very well. Don't be put off from outside as it looks a little dated.

Popped in fish during my lunch hour. Obviously popular. Had the fish (no chips) and it was very tasty and very reasonably priced. Will be back for the chicken!
