Very good food eaten there a couple of times food is good staff are friendly

Every time we have a Chinese’s it’s either early or on time and food is piping hot and always lovely on the phone!

Decent Chinese food, ordered a few times from here, the crispy chicken in chilli and honey sauce is spot on not overly spicy but has just the right kick. Chicken balls are amazing and the sweet and sour sauce is perfect. The food out of here is amazing, the chips can be a hit and miss but the curry sauce saves the day, the lady on the phone and behind the counter is lovely and friendly. My go to Chinese wait time a bit long but rather wait the hour for good food and it's worth the wait.

Our food was awful - chips & pie were dry & tasteless - felt like they had been sitting round for a while

Went in for some lunch. Chips were average got charged 0.80P for ketchup and this is all the sauce we got! Was very disappointing. Service wasn’t the best the guy snatched my card out of my hand. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Not gonna lie, I thought I ordered a kids meal because the portions were heaps small 🤣 I had to supplement with a protein shake from the m&s next door. Great tasting food, but portion needs size need to be adjusted (my bowl wasn't even filled up to the top). If you're a gym-goer you'll still be hungry even after eating, so get those protein shakes ready to satiate yourselves!

Great Pasties shame they are usually luke warm at best, if you ask for hot pasties they give them a blast in the microwave, not ideal

Ordered a takeaway from here and was massively disappointed!! Food arrived cold, so it had to go in the microwave. The Lamb rogan josh was one of the worst I've ever had. Hardly no lamb and a glass of water would of had more taste. We also ordered a chicken burger, which was hardly edible and a kebab that contained no mint sauce or salad, which was also ordered. Late delivery (which is perfectly fine if busy), but the standard of food was abysmal. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here. Very poor.

Last night, my friend ordered a sandwich, and I ordered a Coke, but we were treated rudely by the manager. The entire time we were in the shop, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Despite being the only customers there, the manager ignored us and was cold throughout our visit. When we left, we said thank you, and although he clearly heard us, he looked the other way, deliberately ignoring us. We won’t be going back.

These were not "Quality Fish & Chips". The chips were dry and overcooked. The fish was miniscule and the batter was thick, undercooked, and mostly raw. Would be hard to make it any worse. Disgusting!

Unfortunately this is the only fish and chip shop that delivers in Halstead. Just had cod and chips delivered, came fairly quickly but the food was rubbish. £4.50 for soggy onion rings, the chips were pale and not cooked properly and the cod, well, the cod was in a soggy batter, the batter was all flat and not crispy like it had been put into oil that’s not hot enough, and the fish had a bit of a funny taste, especially the ends of it. Next time I’ll go and collect form one of the other chippys in town. I cannot recommend this place and certainly will not order from here again.

Worth a try under new management. Price is good, huge portion of chips, ordered collection and cooked fast. Chips were good, but the fish & sausage was not amazing just OK. I’d still give them a try again.
