The nicest fish and chips I've eaten and the guy who works there George is very kind and very Helpful.

Absolutely love this place. Genius idea to combine a chippy with an offy. The range of things available is impressive too, just like a chippy up north.

Went in at lunch for just a piece of cod, no chips. Was told it would be 12 minutes and said I would go for a walk and come back- payment in advance requested which is fair enough. Came back after 10 minutes and was told another 5 mins, 5 mins later whilst he was permanently on his mobile phone talking to a mate, asked again and was told 1-2 mins. Eventually had to tell him to give it to me and he muttered about not his fault if undercooked. Wrapped in paper without leaving aside for a few seconds for the oil to drain- asked for serving box as stacked on counter and was told 30 p extra!! Told him that was a f’ing liberty and got an earful for swearing. Clearly he doesn’t keep the oil heated at lunch and probably uses frozen fish. Never again - ….. if Fawlty Towers did chip shops!

First time trying this place for me and my wife, unfortunately wasn’t great, chips to be fair were quite nice, but as soon as we unwrapped the fish it smelled burnt and was badly over cooked to the point it was inedible, same with the savaloy, not sure how it happened as we were the only customers

I had high hopes for this place and it was the first time I’ve been. Sadly the fish was overcooked and the service was slow. I waited over 25 mins for a piece of overcooked fish!

Loved their cod, cooked fresh to order, very busy and the gentleman serving us was very nice to talk to!

Double and then triple check your order! Every single time I've supported this place they mess the order up. every. Single. Time. I wouldn't go back if there was another chippy closer.

An unusual combination of fish and chip shop and off-licence. Good fish, good chips. All food seems to be cooked to order so often quite a wait. Vegan options available. They do a 'Wow wow Wednesday' promotion with several meals like savaloy, chips and curry sauce each for £5 (cash only). There is a range of beers, wines, ciders, etc (including the excellent Old Rosie cider) for sale.

The best fish and chips we have had in a very long time, maybe ever! Crispy batter, flakey fish, proper chips, cooked to order, friendly and efficient service - just perfect. We will certainly be back. Thank you very much.

Freshest fish and chips I've ever had! Lovely staff and the place looked spotlessly clean. Found it by accident as our usual spot was closed - will be coming here again!

The chips were super fresh. Also had battered sausage which historically in my experience (NOT AT FISH AND TIPPLE, it was the 1st time) are a real hit n miss. The battered sausage here was just battered correctly, giving flavour without being so thick (which I expect the average chippy does, to mask poor quality grey-ish meat. The meat here tastes like high quality, which I don’t think I’ve found more than twice over 20 year and those were coastal. Last but not least I had I think it was titled literally ‘tub of thick gravy which was the absolute governor. Pinnacle of a British cuisine, so if you’re not from here or are new in the UK… you gotta go eat it! Fish n tipple way ahead of other competitors. I was going same gaff also in TW code - the were my only, my first to but their standards dripping too low :( Just writing this im prob gonna get it tomo!

Gluten free fish and chips on Thurs-Sun!! That is worth 5 stars right there. Always fresh, cooked to order, fried in rapeseed oil so never greasy. Clean store, great flavour, generous portion sizes and staff are always friendly.

Always freshly cooked, which often means a small wait. Lovely food, not oily and tastes great.

Best fish and chips in the Twickenham area for sure. Food is made to order and I would highly recommend the cod gougons which is their speciality and the chips are always on point. Friendly staff and reasonable prices 10/ 10.

Basically a con...... I paid for a large portion of chips and got normal portion. Won't go back......

placed an order for takeaway over the phone and I had specifically asked for just ketchup and cheese in my burger, I went to collect my food and went all the way home only to open the burger and see that they’ve put burger sauce instead of ketchup. I am highly allergic to the ingredients in burger sauce and as a result of this I could’ve ended up in hospital if I even took a bite. Not only that, but the cod I ordered was extremely greasy and soggy. The batter had come off on the paper it was wrapped in. When I went to return my order I asked for a full refund of my food and the owner of the shop denied me a refund for the fish and said that it wasn’t his problem that I am allergic to the burger sauce. He argued with me and only gave me an apology and said would refund for the burger that’s it, even though the whole meal was ruined due to the fact that I could’ve been put in hospital because of the standard of food and service they provide. I will never be returning as I am concerned for my health. Would recommend people triple check their order at the counter if ordered for takeaway.

OMG the cheesy chips are too die for and worth coming here just for those. Staff was very friendly, fish was a little overdone, and the batter was a little too crispy for me personally. However I would definitely come back and try a different fish with cheesy chips of course

I've had fish and chips from 'Fish & Tipple' a couple of times now and on each occasion the fish was both fresh and fried to perfection in a delicious clean batter. The chips the same, fried to a light golden colour, fresh and clean... Good prices too, I definitely recommend this fish and chip shop.. 5*****

Very nice fish and chip shop, they cook as you order which means a few minutes wait but well worth it as everything is hot and fresh, the owners are very friendly and everything is very clean and bright, they also sell ice creams and beer and wine etc.

The owner went out his way ti make me fresh fried chips. . Perfect! Hence why i gave 5 starts as he did not want me to have dry stale chips! 6 minute wait was very much worth every penny!

Always a good experience here. Phoned ahead and placed the order. The cod and chips were excellent and at a reasonable price. Never used the off license part of the business yet though. Staff have always been quite polite and friendly.

Chose a battered sausage because I could see it there and it was late but they cooked a fresh one instead. Best sausage & chips we've ever had; not greasy and all well done. Plus, excellent and friendly service.

Incredible service from the guy working on the 9th May. We had a couple of bits missing from our order and he personally delivered them to us. Couldn’t ask for better service. Food was great too!

EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED- had high hopes from this place. 1st time ordered 2 portion of fish online. When open the packaging saw my fish wrapped in a puddle of oil that I had to drip out in the bin!!! The batter was hard and chewy. The fish inside was yellow and hard. In the same order my friends cod was freshly fried, white flaky cod and crispy batter. I wouldn't except any excuse for stale refried fish that has been sitting around for the whole day!

I have ordered scampi and chips from this takeaway. The chips and scampi are delicious. The chips are crunchy with a soft middle. The scampi is also crunchy on the outside with the scampi dry on the inside. Try you will not disappointed. The ordering system is very efficient too.

We waited over 45 minutes for a very small simple order and they were NOT busy. In the meantime they decided to fulfill an online order whilst we were there with a baby standing around for some chips and a couple of sausages in batter! The food isn't good and the portions are stingy, batter is too thick, chewy and stodgy. Would NEVER eat here again. Terrible customer service. The guy definitely didn't want to be there.

Came back to the area to visit my mother and I decided to treat myself and the family to some fish and chips for dinner. Walking into the shop I thought it was a great concept and the place looked clean, stylish and modern. Upon walking in there was 1 other person who had already ordered so I went straight to the front to put in my order. After ordering a large haddock, chips, fish cake and battered sausage I was told 15 minutes which was fine. After around 15 minutes numerous other people came in and out having ordered and taken their food. Finally after 25 minutes I was asked for my order again and said it will be another 5 minutes. 10 minutes later I was handed my order with ‘everything being in the bag’. I paid up and left the shop having to find at home they didn’t include the battered sausage but gladly charged me for it. The food itself was lovely and I can’t complain but for a fish and chip shop with a waiting time longer than a restaurant... a clear problem. Honestly I want to find ways to give this a good review but I just can’t justify more than 3 stars and this is solely because of the food. I won’t go back but as the area is limited, it’s your call.

Simply delicious. Very fresh food which is beautifully cooked. There is a super range of dishes which are very good value. Attentive friendly staff. A great way to start the weekend.

Fish and chips cooked to perfection and a good portion for medium fish. While you wait you might as well choose a good tipple to go with it. Helpful staff!! Offered to put my drink in the freezer while I wait for my order to be cooked.

Busy fish and chip shop. Consistently great food and some of the tastiest chips around. Be prepared to wait as it gets busy, but it’s worth the effort.

Great fish and chips went down really well as a course at a dinner party. Saved cooking. This was first takeaway for a year so well pleased.

Ordered food, stood waiting for 20 minutes before they told me the person on the till hadn't told anyone to actually cook it. Then said it would be another 15 minute wait. Useless staff, got my money back and went to the decent chippies in Whitton.

Every thing is cooked from fresh

Popped in on Sunday as the local was closed. Overall experience was very good. Friendly staff and great food. Food was battered once you placed the order and fried just for you and was still piping hot by the time we had driven home. The large cod was easily shared between 3 people (was meant to be shared between 2 originally but it was just that big). 2 Large portions of chips which was more than enough for 4 people. Ordered 2 Battered Sausages and they were great, the right amount of batter, crispy to when eaten but not greasy. Also ordered battered halloumi which was okay, more of a personal preference but I guess i would rather have it grilled so that's the reason I won't order it again. But to clarify, the halloumi was cooked and battered perfectly, just personal preference.

Super disappointing service. Called in to make an order, was told 20 mins and arrived on time. When I got there, they hadn’t even started the order! Said it’s because they were busy but there wasn’t even one person in there! Staff was very rude, extremely so! Fish is not even that good and service is terrible. Too many good fish and chips in this area to ever waste a penny on people that clearly don’t want brown business. Won’t be coming back. Only reason I waited was because it was already too late as the family was hungry and I knew this would be the last time. Said he was sorry but CLEARLY not sorry!

Nicest fish and chips I have had for a long time. It takes a long time but is all cooked fresh. Staff very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend if you're not in a hurry!

We bought cod and chips from this establishment yesterday. It was rubbish. The fish batter was difficult to differentiate between the itself and the paper that it was wrapped in. In fact we had to dump it because it was so soggy and impossible to separate. The chips can only be described as a camp lump of mush. So please be warned. We are not over fussy souls, but I feel we were charged £17 for a very poor effort.

The fish was beautifully cooked, not greasy and crispy batter. The chips were also nice but average. For me the fish is most important and I would give that a 5 star on its own. The downside was I queued up for 30 mins with only 6-7 people in front of me - that's not right for fish and chips. The lady at the counter was very friendly and apologetic so at least they acknowledged the problem and hopefully improve on it.

The food is good and reasonably priced. But there is always a very long wait for your order. Surely they would know what their peak times are? They could have most food ready to save them and customers alot of time. Would have given 5 stars but the wait is too long. 😴

The place is clean. The service is friendly. Service is slow because sometimes they cook as you order but you know it is freshly cooked. A lot of beverage choices. You just have to check your order because sometimes they forget it or they might have have forgotten to charge you or vice versa.

Really nice fish and chips. Really crispy chips as we asked for them that way. Nice and friendly guys & girls great family feel to the place.

I love fish and chips, but not with from a giant giant spine like bone in it. Not what you expect. Also batter tasted like it had been sitting around for ages. It was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The batter sausage was also solid on one side like it had been sitting around for a long while. Yet it says everything cooked from fresh.

The atmosphere was very nice and clean. There was a good selection of drinks and ice cream. The chicken nuggets and chips I got were great, but my partner said one of his two savloys was a bit tough.
