Pop-In Chicken in Plymouth

Chile’s were soggy and some were still under cooked and the size of the wraps now are very disappointing and my beans were just regular beans and not the normal bbq ones

Absolutely amazing food. Arrived hot, very good portion sizes and tastes amazing. Best gravy ever

Excellent service as usual. The meal was still very hot when it was delivered and the quality of the food was fantastic. The Drivers are always very polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will continue to order from Pop-in Chicken again. Thank you.

meals was hot .But bbq chicken was cold and dry couldn't eat it .

have not had for a long time so thought I would try, order was missing an item. which when I rang they did send a replacement. overall quality of food has definitely slipped. corn on cob was not plump and tender, but corns flattened and hard. chips whilst hot where more rubbery. the chicken was ok but nothing to write home about. overall very disappointed, not worth the money, and won't be ordering again

Would have been 5 stars but second time sent full sugar pepsi instead of Pepsi max which we can’t drink. If haven’t got it would rather just have ordered the option without a drink.

The quality of the chicken is great, the fries are nice too, but the chicken gravy was absolutely spot on. I ordered the “two in one”, but unfortunately they forgot to pack my chicken breast strips. I rang them, issue was sorted within 1min, and someone from the restaurant delivered the missing strips within 10mins. Accidents happen, really easily sorted, and as the first part arrived early, the rest arrived on time, and with zero fuss, so I can’t really hold it against them. Good service 👍

Gave me an extra boneless box! also came 20 mins early. kind people.

i normally enjoy my meal but ordered the boneless box and normally have a lovely chicken burger but tonight it was just two chicken strips in a bap so mostly bread and the chips were white and not very many at all

haven't ordered in a while but it's just like I remember; hot, tasty, and filling, and my children enjoy it as a treat.

Unfortunality Quality and portions of chicken seems to have gone down hill and prices have gone way up. Shame as allways used to be best chicken in town until recently.

This delivery was quick for a Saturday night it's normally about an hour so I well impressed.

lovely food as ever but the garlic mayo pots and gravy etc have got a lot smaller which is a shame.

The food was as delicious as always and the driver was polite and went beyond to help out.

It just.. Didn't arrive! What more can I say? Ordered at 7pm and it's 9.30pm and it just never came didn't answer their phone for the last 1.5hrs. Avoid at all costs it seems

No food, noone bothered to let us know, left numerous messages. Then on line status changed to delivered but noone showed up. Kept calling, noone answered. Money on hold. Very unprofessional. It used to be such a lovely place.

Really disappointing experience. Ordered for the first time and pretty much wasted money cause most of the stuff is just not tasty. Chips are awful, like they were done in few weeks old oil. Ordered bbq wings but the ones I got were spicy. Chicken stripes were super salty but chicken itself way okay. Ribs barely okay. Chicken filet burger just as salty as stripes. Would've been better off going to KFC and spend less money. Won't order again.

Always the tastiest chicken and chips I’ve ever eaten and the ribs that come with it are a nice added extra! Great food and service!

I love popin chicken normally but this evening the chicken pieces was horrible and over cooked completely wasted my money on food that no one enjoyed 🙄

Food is ok! Was over charged, when I questioned it I was scowled at but the difference was made up. ( with no apology just a look!) The food arrived 60 seconds later and was shoved at me by a staff member that looked like I had just spat on her shoe! As I said the food is ok but the premises is looking for the worst customer service experience in Plymouth. Absolutely shocking everytime I have been in. I’d advise online order over going in!!!!

somethings different... the chicken is dry. the bread buns have changed.... also dry. I put lots of mayonnaise in my chicken burger but it still seemed really dry...

Just bought it last night my poor sister in law has woken up with food poisoning from the chicken and the chicken has signs that it is raw. I think you need to have a good inspection.

I've ordered several times and it's now my favourite for southern fried chicken.

I just asked for as soon as possible and it arrived within an hour. I've been usuing Pop-In Chicken for absolutely years, probably around 10 years. I have never had a bad meal.

Ordered from pop In chicken after a hard day's work, was washing my daughters hair after her bath only to have missed a call from the resteraunt. When I checked the voicemail it was for the 2 ice cream tubs I had ordered they didn't have the correct flavours and were going to offer me another alternative but cause I didn't answer they couldn't tell me. Only they didn't realise they were on voicemail record and said some pretty horrible things which I have on voicemail saved. Ain't my problem you can't keep stock of things on just eat. Won't be ordering from them again disgusting service if there is a way I can report the stuff said I will.

Was a little late but all fine. Friday nights can be troublesome for traffic across the city. Meal was lovely though.

After a new owner this takeaway is now more expensive than a KFC, this supposed to be a cheaper alternative to Kfc but now the prices are ridiculous , Greedy new owner , I was regurarly buying from them but not anymore.

My expectation was of a cheap thrown together fly by night establishment. I was happily far from the truth as i was served by a smartly dressed clean uniformed man in smart hygenic surroundings. My burger was impressive (chicken) and tastey. I also had 3 pieces of chicken with fries and a gravy. These were equally tastey. I will be frequenting there to try the rest of the menu over the coming weeks/months.

We always order from pop-in chicken and absolutely love the food, the family platters are great deal and for a family of three we have chicken for the next day also. Coleslaw salad and the mozzarella sticks are also lovely . Delivery time is quite long, but never happened to be later than the time frame received.

food was not freshly cooked it was done the day before left overs and recook it was that bad had to put it in the bin 😞

Similar to KFC but a whole lot better, chicken that actually is tasty, unlike KFC, staff are friendly enough and hard working, place is clean and tidy and they have good value for money.

Absolutely awful food. If it can be called such a thing. Ordered online (which was on time, the only positive I can mention) and the food was not only freezing cold but also undercooked. I ordered the boneless box, which was a tenner and some onion rings. The chicken burger was one small strip, some nasty lettuce and a rubbery bun. The two strips were dry as hell and very hard to eat. The popcorn chicken was about 8 pieces, neither of which actually tasted nice. Finally, the chips were cold and not cooked properly either. I didn't eat hardly any of it and threw what was left in the bin. While I hate wasting food, I would not have even given this to a starving person. I feel as if the bin didn't deserve punishment by putting the excess in it. Now I've ordered a few times from here and it's never been spectacular, but this time was definitely the last. You could easily save yourself a LOT of money, time and effort by nipping to a shop, grabbing some chicken and cooking some up in the oven. Even as fast food, it was worse than McDonald's and that's saying something.

First time buying for a while and last time. Had ribs very hard and dry Chicken strips.hard either cheap chicken or cooked for a while Coleslaw watery all above went in the bin.

Pop In Chicken is the best. We have been having it delivered for years and have never had a bad meal. Tonight's was no exception, it arrived early, hot and plentiful. I would never buy chicken from anywhere else.

Only ordered from here because of the reviews. I’ve ordered from here twice this week and found that the food was dreadful. I Should of learnt from the 1st time, 2nd time I had the spicy chicken meal. The chicken was over cooked and hard, and tasted of the oil/fat. The dog had it. I won’t be eating from here again. Sorry..

The tastiest chicken in Plymouth. Honestly I can eat it every day. They also have lunch menu which is great 🥰👌

We bought a 6 piece family deal tonight with 2 free pots of Chicken Gravy and bottle of Pepsi max. It was absolutely delicious. We will definitely buy from poppin chicken again. Super fast delivery food lovely and hot and great customer service. I will definitely reccomend this takeaway to other people.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, the food was so dry it must have been from the day before. Nothing about any of the food was good, AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.......

This place use to be lovely and was a good alternative to KFC there food was never better then KFC but was tasty for the money but now there food have gone down hill fast and tast like reheated food and cost a lot more then KFC. Most items cost £1 to £3 more sorry to say but I won't be a returning customer any more 😮‍💨

Had to wait over an hour and a half, got someone else's order and stone cold, never again. Lady on the phone no help. I'd been in hospital all day and needed food but everything was wrong

I ordered last night with my order I asked for 3 bottles of fizzy unfortunately I received 3 cans the delivery lady left then 15 minutes later turned up with 3 bottles and apologised and told me to keep the cans as it was her mistakes I think she deserves recognition because she went out of her way to make sure i had what I ordered and she was very polite
