Seven Up Express Chinese Takeaway in Plymouth

Ordered for the first time as our usual (the other 7 up in Milehouse) was closed. Awful Chinese, and the worst satay sauce I've ever had. It was like jelly and the chicken in our chow main was horrible. Also very expensive for 2 meals. Would not order again.

What a shame this curry was ruined by using processed chicken like eating sponge won't be revisiting what these take aways charge they should at least use proper chicken not good

After returning to Plymouth after two years of work on the outside, I used to purchase fantastic food all the time from seven up in West Park in plymouth, I will now return more regularly...

This is normally our go to Chinese takeaway. On placing an order over the phone I was told it was £31.40, which I repeated back. When the delivery driver arrived he said it was £41.40! We polity declined the takeaway and thank goodness hadn't paid. When we looked at a menu on their Facebook page the food we had came to the original price we were first quoted. We can't understand why we were being charged an extra £10! Unfortunately I didn't think to ring up to ask I was flabbergasted and ordered elsewhere.

I think you are over charging for what I wanted just ordered the the same thing from another Chinese for less the price you will lose a lot of customers disgusting

Our first time using this takeaway and we weren't disappointed. Excellent service from phone call to delivery. The food was exceptional. Chicken fried rice flavours to die for. Sweet and sour beautiful and the chicken balls just perfect. Chicken foo yung made to perfection. Boiled rice lovely. Chicken chow mein best ever according to our friend. Huge portions. All four of us were over the moon and will definitely use again and again.

Very poor quality, the chicken balls soggy 😔 batter under cooked , black bean sauce.. Joke. I will not be going again, and i definitely would not recommend it.

Been a years old loyal customer. Stopped using them 6 months ago as won't take cards for orders under £18 anymore. This is 2022 and the way I see it, if you can't take payment the way 98%of the world pay these days then you shouldn't be in business. Food quality was always perfection until just after the £18 card rule came in.. no idea why it didn't taste so good from then on. I'm not leaving this review out of spite, more anger that I liked spending money with them and they priced a single person out of using them. Change your stance on this unrealistic £18 minimum order and I may come back and so may my friends.

Really friendly welcome service! The guy on the desk was very helpful, food was so quick brilliant service and the food was great. Will be back for sure!

Very up and down with the quality of food sometimes its awesome sometime its not. Rather expensive and having to spend £18 to pay by card is unrealistic.

Brought a portion of egg fried rice and I got home it was dry NO EGG and a very boring taste Only had a few takeaways from here and most times have been very disappointed we will not be getting anything else there again

Telephone ordered and was given a pick up time 20 minutes later. Collected food which was ready on time. First time using this Chinese takeaway and was impressed. Hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Will be using again in the future.

The best Chinese ever and the sweet and sour chicken is so lush. Very nice people too

I have used this takeaway for so long, I have had bad experiences with customer services, and had a meal warmish, but to be honest that shouldn't distract any further customers from ordering their food. Equally I have had excellent service, pipping hot food, and good customer services. But what has always been consistent is the quality and taste of the food. No excuse for rudeness - either from the staff or the paying public, we all have a bad day, none of us perfect. So please do order, at least a few times the food is the most consistent in all of this. I can not comment on a sit-down service as I have always ordered out

Ordered takeaway tonight, food was burnt, cold and tasteless. Missing part of the order, apparently not paid for but working it out definitely was!!!Delivery driver didnt know how to work card machine?? Complete waste of money. Stay away if you want a decent chinese takeaway

1st time as our regular one is closed. Great service we opted to collect they are very clean & geared for the current climate we find ourselves in! Food was hot, plenty full & great taste! Defo use them again!

The seven up Express, westpark..The Chips were awful but Their chicken curry is really very nice. I've tried their Duck in Plum sauce, it tastes nice but i didnt expect it to have pineapple so it was a bit of a strange surprise.

This is a lovely Chinese the crispy chilli chicken in sauce is awesome, mixed meat curry is worth a try this is a go to Chinese👍

Great chicken fried rice, I ask for a small portion of small shrimp and pineapple to be added, and they do it better than anywhere I've tried at a really good price

Great place, recommend the crispy chilli beef I've had it from most of the Chinese in Plymouth but none cook it as good as these guys

Took my while to write a review but this Chinese is the best! They make there curry sauces extra extra spicy if asked and always to our standards never use anyone else in fact I will be ordering tonight ,,, lovely Chinese

Not very good,chicken balls were over cooked or maybe even the day before,very dark batter and chicken was dry&hard. Rice was tasteless. Was looking forward to my Chinese treat after not eating all day!

I always enjoy my meal when I come here,all food Fresh, hot, and delicious, you won't disappoint at all !!

Ordered a take away tonight and have got to say it has to be the worst one I have ever tasted. The fried Rice was all mushy and overcooked and the Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls were all burnt and also the noodles were all brown and tasteless. What an absolute waste of money and you need to be reviewed again.

Best chinese in Plymouth and fast delivery

I have used this curry place for years , they have stopped delivering to Plympton , why I don’t know , they have lost mine and family, friends custom, Good Bye Seven up , I will go else where and will certainly not be recommending you to anyone .

Have to say it’s the best Chinese takeaway in Plymouth it’s very clean, and the food is always second to none.

I have never experienced such bad customer service in all my life!!!! We just spent £50 from this takeaway! It arrived freezing cold! When we rang to complain about this.... we were laughed at by the so called “manager”! She argued with us and then even when we asked her what she was going do to rectify the situation she proceeded to laugh again. Cannot believe what we have just encountered. We were saying before we ordered how great this Chinese was.... food was tasty , but cold , and we have to microwave it ourselves. Never ever again ! Stay away!!

I wouldnt even give it one star if I didn't have to. Ordered special fried rice and got no BBQ sauce. when they finally got here with the BBQ sauce my food was cold so I requested a refund and staff was very rude and ill mannered.

Their shrimp curry is really delicious. Perfect kick to it. And heres something special - they are one of the last take aways left in Plymouth to offer a free boiled rice with their curry. Good work guys! Delivery was fast and the food was piping hot too!

Over the years I have tried many takeaways and this one stands out way above the rest. Food always freshly cooked and is delicious. The staff are super friendly and the owner always makes a fuss of my son and lately has been putting lollipops in our delivery for him. Much appreciated! Always get a calendar at New Year which is a nice touch. Delivery is quick and food always hot. Prices are great too. Don't confuse this with seven up in Milehouse! Payment is cash or card for an extra fee but a convenient service. I won't go anywhere else!

Quick service excellent food extra hot curry was exactly that and soups well tasty

They messed up our order and when I called back to say I got the most terrible reception. They checked and saw it was their fault. The customer service was awful. They said I'd get the item they spoiled free next time, but as I said, after the long wait and the mess up, why would I order again when this was my first time? Absolutely awful. I would personally replace that member of staff if I was in charge.

Most shocking customer service I have ever received. They messed up My order and refused to replace it. Apparently no drivers would be going out that way tonight and they were too busy... Even know my order showed up less than half hour after ordering. Would not give a refund, even though there was no way I'd eat it that way and had just wasted nearly £10 on my half of the meal and was left with just chips. So my partner had to eat his food while I was sat with a container of stuff I didn't even like. The lady on the phone had a awful attitude. Offered me the same thing Free next time but why would I order again when my first ever order was so bad? Absolute joke

This is the takeway yhat we have used for years. Always deliver within the time specified,and food is good,have been customers for over 20 years.

Well established and busy Chinese takeaway on the main road through Plymouth suburb of West Park. Average selection and prices. Friendly when we've been in. 3 or 4 other takeaways close by on this traffic light controlled junction. Usually somewhere to park but a bit hit and miss.

1st and last time I order from here over cooked chicken balls over cooked noodles totally not happy
