Double Dragon in Burnley

Decent Chinese food, ordered a few times from here, the crispy chicken in chilli and honey sauce is spot on not overly spicy but has just the right kick. Chicken balls are amazing and the sweet and sour sauce is perfect. The food out of here is amazing, the chips can be a hit and miss but the curry sauce saves the day, the lady on the phone and behind the counter is lovely and friendly. My go to Chinese wait time a bit long but rather wait the hour for good food and it's worth the wait.

The only decent Chinese to get around here and the lady behind the counter is very friendly, my go to place for Chinese.

Home delivery ordered at 7.15pm on a Monday evening, we were celebrating. After 3 phone calls assuring me food was on its way, eventually arrived at 9pm. I was offered £5 discount & asked for extra discount of £2. Driver apologised, said they had been very busy, the boss kept ringing him & assured us the food was piping hot! We had to warm it up! Salt & pepper chips....no peppers, all onions. Food lacked flavour. Very, very dissatisfied, previously we have heard good reports. Will not recommend!

Poor meals with little flavour. Kung po chicken was mainly a filler of onions, really had to search for the chicken! Basic beef curry, again it had very limited meat. Gets a star for alright chips and nice egg fried rice.

Lovely grub! Not used this place before, but the chinese dishes were really tasty and typically priced. We will defintely order from here again.

I always get Singapore noodles curry sauce. Beautiful, spicy good size portion. Value for money.

Just had salt n pepper chips ,salt n pepper chicken wings barbecue ribs and duck spring rolls . The chips and chicken was like they had been reheated from earlier, chips were hard around the edges there were no onions or peppers,the barbecue ribs tasted more like gravy than barbecue sauce and the meat was tough and the spring rolls were soggy , will definitely not be using double dragon again.

Won’t be returning. The food was bland, dull and tasteless. I ordered honey, crispy chilli chicken that came without a hint of honey. The chicken was chewy - not crispy. My wife had vermicelli, which came with 4/5 shreds of meat. The fried rice was cold and the curry sauce was inedible. An awful experience.

Reasonably priced Chinese takeaway. A safe choice, consistent but nothing I've had stands out as much above average.

Food spot on but order for delivery and don’t expect to get any time quick could be cold on arrival. Wait is deffo over an hour and add an extra 15 mins on just to be safe. Shame really

Had a salt and pepper box it was ok, not sure it represents good value for money. I did pick it up myself so all the food bar the noodles were hot. There plenty of chips, and was able to swap out chicken wings for more chicken bites, which was good. Service was quick. All in all not a bad Chinese, but I would say it’s the best I’ve been to

Lamb or whatever it was in the munchies box ( I couldn't tell what it was !was fatty an had a funny odor, chicken was none existing and it didn't taste nice atal. Poor value for money and came late . Will never go here again! Was definitely your Chinese.... Young rude girl answer phone like she can't be bothered.

Went to double dragon the other night for food well what a difference it was from new taste the staff at double dragon was top class very friendly keep up the good work guy,s can't fault you 10/10 for service...from 55 peel street.

Couldn't rate this place highly enough, I order so much that they know my regular order off by heart, food is amazing everytime and the staff on the phone are always patient and accommodating if anything needs doing a certain way (ie vegetarian options etc) portion sizes are big, food always comes hot and on time, best in the area I won't go to any other chinese its amazing value for money and also take card payments!

Absolutely RAGING! I was a regular of Double Dragan and ordered many of times, this one time there was a new untrained teenager on the phone who was really rude, aswell as takeaway driver. I normally order the £15.00 munchie box plus my delivery free, which is £3.50, totalling at a cost of £18.50. The driver insisted that my order was £25.00!!!! I told him we are regular and normally order, and we know the price, we then rang the takeaway told the lady on the phone and she said it was £25.00 (she didn’t know so just went along ) so I gave the money just to leave the situation. I was fuming as I had been over charged; and just to add to the situation my chicken was soggy, nothing salt and pepper about it and they missed the curry sauce!!! I then got a phone call at half past five of the usual lady on the phone that’s lovely and polite , the evening after and they told me they charged too much!!! After i knew I was right, and getting cheek of the not so trained teenager, and the takeaway man, really unhappy.

Absolutely disgusting food. Waited over 2 hours for the food to come the shredded chicken was horrendous was hard as rock the chips you could tell had been warmed up. Will never order again. EVERYTIME we have ordered it's been fine. But tonight was disgusting defiantly won't be ordering again.

Bit pricey but suppose, get what you pay for....Got to be one of the best Cantonese food takeaways in Lancashire. Cooked to perfection everytime, exactly how you like your dishes prepared Hong Kong style, including any additional extras. Everything on the menu we've tried in 2.5 yrs is spot on 👌

Ordered special curry ,was very very disappointed ,it should have been called “onion curry” I like onions but not to this degree onion chunks the size of small onions ,pure laziness and greed at the expense of putting expected fillings in ,a real shame

We have had a takeaway delivery from the Double Dragon a couple of times since it has been under new owners. The food was delicious and the portions generous. Definitely no complaints here, we will definitely be ordering again!

We use this place nearly every week and have never been let down. We would not use another Chinese takeaway as they are consistently good.

Absolutely lovely food each and every time i’ve had it, and now had it a few times. food always tastes fresh and portions size are good. Combo 2 is really worth definitely would recommend order Chinese Food here. The food is nice and tasty and they process orders in the least time possible.delivery charge is reasonable and fast very good driver's.

I thought the flavor was a little strong for me, but the person who served me and the person who made it were very warm and welcoming. I wasn't sure if I was Japanese or not, but once they found out I was Japanese, they treated me more friendly and I decided to use them again.

Since the new owners took over the food has been far better, the portions of food are bigger and cooked to perfection, and the service is excellent. Defiantly the perfect choice if you are wondering where to order food from. Also that new man behind the bar is cute, definitely worth checking out while waiting for food.

I have been getting meals from here occasionally for the last 7 years but tea yesterday was tasteless and unappetising. Much was left. I didn’t know you could make tasteless food but you can. I won’t be revisiting and feel let down by the quality of the food and the increased price.

We have been visiting double dragon for the past 10 years, but since the refurb and we are assuming new owners, DISSAPOINTED is an understatement! Think they must have poured half a tub of salt into the sauce! RIP double dragon! You will be missed! £3 increase in prices for my cholesterol level to go sky high!

I don't know what's happened to Double Dragon tried two meals there over last two weeks one of the dishes chicken & garlic with chilli sauce was ok but my chicken fried rice was disgusting I could not eat it the chicken strips were like cardboard won't be getting it again Very disappointed Come on Double Dragon what's happened to your delicious food ??????

Placed an order by phone and was told it would be 1hr15-1hr20 wait. food arrived after 1hr40. Salt and pepper chips cold,soggy and lacking any flavour. Duck rolls half the size they used to be, wet and bland. Ordered chicken in chilli and garlic sauce and I think we got a sweet and sour sauce. Absolutely awful. Will not be ordering again! I think it’s under new management and I don’t think they’ll be there for long!

Been going DD for over 20 years so I'll admit I was a little worried when I started reading bad reviews and heard stories of it being horrible after the refurb. It is better than ever! Ordered Monday and thought maybe it was a fluke, but nope ordered a completely different dish tonight and THE best hot and sour soup I have ever tasted. Top class guys ! Well done x

So disappointed with our order. We used to always visit here however it’s been a while since we’ve been. It absolutely disgusting bland tasteless food now. for more money. Absolutely heart breaking when you had such good quality place for decent money now it will be run in to the ground. I wish I would have read the reviews before waisting our money on this absolute discrace. Will definitely not be returning.

I’ve been ordering their food for a long time as I only live round the back. I was worried when a new voice answered but the food was just as good, If not better. There sugar in the sea weed had been replaced with a seasoning that was incredible and not sickly.

Loved double Dragon a month ago but tonight I've been very disappointed Salt and pepper wings were dry and tasteless and half the size they used to be. Looked nothing like what they looked like a month ago. Partners chicken balls were chewy and like they'd been pre cooked and reheated. Mine first of all they forgot my chicken in garlic chilli sauce not the sauce just the chicken I still got a tub of sauce. So I rang them back and they said they'd make and bring it over because it was there fault for forgetting. They tried to charge me for their mistake bare in mind I hadn't touched the other so they could have taken it back then accused me of not ordering it in the first place. I used to love this Chinese I've never been more disappointed and heartbroken about it. Lost a regular customer and I've recommends it to a few people who became regulars and I'll be telling them not to bother either so you've lost a few customers

We were recommended the DD by some friends, I wish we hadn't bothered. The food was very bland, the salt and pepper chips were like something I've never had before, it was just not good and we had to warm it all up because we were told it would be 45-50 minutes and it was an hour and 15.

Used to be my fav fab prices potions and tastes been tonight got lied to saying nothings changed Food was awful kids didnt even eat it !!!! Potions have halfed Wont be returning lost a frequant customer 🤮

Was looking forward to having a Chinese after they opened again after being shut. I wish they had remained shut. The food selection had totally changed and was what I can only describe it has horrid all I can say we will not be using double dragon again.

Having used double dragon for quite a few years now and really enjoyed the food.I was looking forward to it re opening after a refurb.The order was 40 plus minutes late, the food Luke warm to say the least.The food was the worst Chinese I have ever had.Will never order from there again.Was told they were very busy after just reopening ! Time to find an alternative!!!!! And to top it all , everything has gone up to pay for it !!! Never again

Opened this weekend after being closed for refurbishment. I wish they had stayed shut. Feels like they have completely changed their food selection, it was completely different to what it was like before it closed, reminded me of the choice kitchen food that we had 2 weeks ago due to it being closed. Chicken wings...normally 10 really yummy wings but changed to 5 dry and tasteless ones. Salt and pepper chips were just chips with a few onions chucked in and the normal chips weren't cooked!! No prawn crackers as advertised for orders over £15, spring rolls were undercooked also and curry was inedable, all in all, we will not be taking away from there again!!!

I think the title says it all, unfortunately it was closed the other night so went to Chois kitchen, it was passable no way near the quality of double dragon

Can't beat it for value for money, quick service and good food. Had to use Chois Kitchen in Padiham recently because Double Dragon were on holiday and it wasn't a patch on Double Dragon.

The portion sizes in the take away are huge. It's very good value for money and the food tastes great. The extensive menu has something for everyone and it's obvious that they have regular customers. The staff are friendly and the service is quick despite everything being cooked to order. I really enjoy the food and have favourites but sometimes try something new, I'm never disappointed. If a banquet is ordered you could feed the 5000! there is so much food and choice in the banquets.

Best salt and pepper chips I’ve ever had and definitely the best chow mien in Padiham! The other takeaways just don’t compare.

It used to be good, I had a flat just up the road a few years ago and I used to eat here all the time! The salt and pepper chips with salt and pepper chicken was awesome! But it seems to heave gone down hill drastically! I had take away from here at my parents house recently and it was very dry with poor flavour! Disappointing

Food bland an a off smell an not worth waiting for struggled to order as they didn't understand me an took 1hr 30min to be delivered when they said 30min on phone! rang them up only to be told "if you don't like don't order" which was very rude I say! Want be ordering again

This takeaway offers fast friendly service of good Chinese food. On street parking, threshold at entry, level inside. Varied full menu.

Chinese food is not our favourite so we rarely eat it. However, on Tuesday (11th April) we decided to try this restaurant/takeaway. We had two different main courses, one fried rice and a starter of salt and pepper spare ribs. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious but far too much for two people. We ate the left overs the following day and enjoyed it just as much. Total cost - just over £12 - fantastic value for money. We are going to repeat the experience and have invited friends over to share it with us.

Favourite Chinese of all time. Loads dishes to choose from! The usual suspects are amazing, their special curry is outstanding, nice value for money portions. Friendly quick service. What is there not to like. Added bonus of free prawn crackers

Comprehensive Menu, Window behind counter into kitchen, so you can see what's cooking. Good Food, friendly service, telephone orders, charged delivery close by, bit more for 2-3 miles. Winter opening extra half hour (open 16.30. Storm-water channel outside and door sill make difficulty for wheelchair.

Shocking!! took a hour and ten minutes for delivery! the order was completely wrong!! And the delivery over charged us!!
