Our pre-wedding hog roast dinner at Euridge Manor, catered by Spitting Pig, was a great addition to our wedding weekend festivities! The food was incredible—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and plentiful. There was so much left over that we were able to enjoy it as a post-wedding midnight snack the following day, which was a real treat. The chef was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience even better. His expertise really shone through in the quality of the roast, and he was a pleasure to have around. The presentation was spot-on, with a wide range of delicious additions to customize each plate. Even our dogs couldn’t stop staring, eagerly waiting for their portion! We hired Spiitting Pig ( North West ) to provide a hog roast for about 15 people on the occasion of my 80th birthday - September 14th , provided for us in the garden of a holiday home in Windermere . They were absolutely brilliant , unobtrusive setting up - it was kept a secret from me , brilliant food enjoyed by everyone young and old with different tastes , family from USA, France , U.K. . The guy setting up and serving and clearing all away was very friendly and knew his business perfectly . 5 star service and food !!

The entire process was flawless - The team who emailed me with menu choices and for enquiries have been prompt and efficient. The team who arrived on the day were friendly, helpful and extremely fast at serving. They also let my sister take the pigs ears home for her dog! I love that all leftovers were boxed up for us, and all rubbish cleared. I literally did not have to do anything! Cannot recommend enough. We will be eating leftovers all week too!

Craig and his colleague provided a professional and friendly service. The Spit roast was delicious and it was good to have the salads and sauces. I booked the Spitting Pig for 2 separate work lunch events to treat the staff. They catered for 200 people on both dates, one of the dates there was a lunch and evening session as we work on shifts. Right from booking the events, with lots of calls to change numbers and add items to the guys arriving to set up I knew it was going to be a success. The food and service was amazing, we had whole pigs on both days, chicken and vegetarian options with fries and salad sides. All supplied with cold fizzy drinks. They supplied everything including cutlery, plates, napkins, sauces, everything we needed. Charlie and Tim on the Monday you were great, as both you were Sean and Charlie on the Friday. For catering for all the staff that were only on their breaks so short time scales it couldn’t have ran smoother, even in the rain!! Thanks guys, we definitely know who to book with for our next event.

The food was fantastic, the serving teams were excellent, friendly and helpful. Charlie was great. All very flexible, made the dinner (65 people) super success. The breakfast was well received. We hired Spitting Pig (the South Essex branch) to do a hog roast with salads for our wedding reception. The customer service staff were very helpful, the catering was very reasonably priced and our chef was amazing. It worked really well and was a relatively cheap and easy way to cater for a large number of people at a garden party. Everyone at our wedding reception was very impressed with the food and a few guests expressed an interest in hiring The Spitting Pig for their own events in the future.

To be honest, I don’t know where to start! Firstly, the customer service we received from booking them, all the way through to the actual event was really great, helpful with all my questions and were in contact to ensure all was going to plan. They turned up when expected and were really friendly and just got on with setting up happily. We ordered a hog roast with stuffing and a vegan option of halloumi and veg skewers, with sweet potato fries and salad/coleslaw as a side for 100 people ... it was absolutely incredible, I cannot even begin to describe how good, everyone kept coming up to me saying how amazing it was. The staff happily left us the remainder of the food that wasn't consumed and this was gone pretty much within the hour after the staff left the event as people just couldn’t get enough of it! On top of that, the staff were so great, happily chatting away to us and overall just had a really good vibe! I will happily be recommending Spitting Pig to anyone that needs catering!

The whole team was absolutely brilliant and the food was out of this world, not a single person had a bad word to say, my uncle who is coeliac thought his options were great and was very appreciative for the special care taken on his behalf! Spitting pig were great. There were plenty of options to choose from and although we were sceptical at first, we could not be happier with the service and quality of food we received on our wedding day. Jack and his team were throughly professional throughout the day, engaging with everyone and all our guests have been saying how much they enjoyed the food supplied. Our pig roast worked out about £38 per head for a pork roll, couple of salads and a dessert. If you just think about the value of the food it's expensive but what you're really paying for is service, it's excellent. Such an easy way to throw a great party - absolutely no effort for the host at all. Food was plentiful and tasty and they came, set up, served and left without any drama or trace. We used the Spitting Pig company for a 90th birthday party on Friday 2nd Sept 2022. Booking was very easy and communications with the company was fantastic. We were kept updated with everything they had to offer. On the night of the party the staff arrived in plenty of time to get the Hog roast done and they were very professional and friendly. Everyone loved the pork buns with the stuffing and apple sauce. The lady came to me at the end as there was a little bit left over and she put it on a tray and added it to the buffet table. We will definitely used them again as I cannot praise them enough.

Brad and his team catered my husbands 65th birthday party for 150 people and I cannot thank them enough for the service they provided. We hired the Spitting Pig to cater at our corporate summer party for 150 people and they did a great job. We had the hog roast with halloumi skewers and jackfruit skewers and the feedback on the quality of the food was excellent. Sophie and her colleague arrived early to set up and the food was ready and served on time with no hiccups.

Our event was great and Nick and Ali were excellent.....they were very polite and let the party play out and only interrupted when the food was ready. The food was amazing, many positive remarks about the pork, crackling and stuffing! Would recommend.

We had a very positive experience with Nick and the Spitting Pig last Saturday. Nick and his son worked hard from the moment they arrived. The food was excellent - we had some great feedback from our guests - and the service was great too. I contacted the Spitting Pig to potentially cater for my wedding next year, and although we decided to go in a different direction with the food the service I received was the best yet! The team were very quick in responding to my questions and Geordie helped facilitate the various options/quotes I requested. Booked the Spitting Pig basic package for my 40th birthday house party and they set up in our small back garden in the middle of January! It was such a brilliant treat for my friends and I and it felt like such luxury having the party catered. No worrying about feeding all my guests as the The Spitting Pig guys were brilliant and took care of everything. Everyone loved their hog roast rolls and the crackling disappeared very quickly! We had lots left over as we lost some guests to covid etc but the team packed all the leftovers up for us and we have frozen it all to enjoy again. Would highly recommend having a hog roast in your garden -it doesn't need to be a massive event to make it worthwhile. The team were so friendly and professional even when faced with VERY merry guests and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again. Big thanks.

Recently used The Spitting Pig for a work Christmas Party. We went with the full Festive Menu which was great! Geordie helped organise the event from start to finish and was absolutely great. She answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything before the event. Our catering manager Chris was also really helpful. I had a few questions about the day and also some dietary requirements. He made sure he was able to cater for these requirements and even went out of his way to bring Gluten Free gravy! Everyone commented on how nice the food was. I will definitely use The Spitting Pig again and would highly recommend to others! Amazing service! Thank you!

They were great. A really professional outfit, and very passionate about their food and service. I really cannot recommend them highly enough to do justice to their performance at my 50th birthday party. We were worried that for a smart black tie event that they would not be the right thing, but they were wonderful. They were invariably professional, well organised, accommodating and efficient people with which to deal. The pork itself was juicy and really delicious - cooked for hours - they had woken at 4am to have it ready for 8:30pm but the crackling was what attracted the highest praise. The sides and salads were all great too - and they served my birthday cake with their usual efficiency. They seemed to be a really well run and friendly team of people too, if only more businesses were like them.

We hired Spitting Pig for a slow roast bbq at our wedding. They were absolutely incredible and all our 90 guests were raving about the high standard of food offered. Alan looked after us throughout, even when we needed to change plans. The food was 5 star, and much preferable to a wedding breakfast if anyone is considering hiring them. Very casual but extremely well organised.

Wedding Perfection When we were planning our wedding we always knew that we wanted a hog roast for our celebration meal and with The Spitting Pig company we hit the jackpot!!!!! Everyone in the team were extremely helpful and attentive answering all our questions with a friendly professional manner. On the day they surpassed themselves totally embracing the relaxed atmosphere of our wedding providing a delicious selection of salads, breads, potatoes, vegetarian options and the main event the succulent hog roast with side dishes of apple sauce, stuffing and essential crackling. We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this company for any celebration, extremely excellent value for money and fantastic quality ingredients. These guys were absolutely amazing. They catered our wedding in Oxfordshire and not only was the food incredible but the lovely gents who served were genuinely amazing. It felt like nothing was too much and they were extremely down to earth, which perfectly matched our wedding! They kept in contact and were ready for any situation (which in our case was a working farm!!) I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Book, you won't be disappointed!!

I called today to get some advice as we have a spit set up which hasn’t been working correctly. I had researched online to find this company so I called. Initially I woke to a very polite lady who I explained I needed help and advice on parts for a spit, she transferred me to a chap in the parts department. I told the chap in the parts department that I was needed advice and that I knew nothing about was I needed hence the need to call. He couldn’t answer some of my questions and I asked if they do spit/hog roasting them selves and they said yes, I asked if I could speak with whoever prepares the animal on the pole as this was the area I needed help with. I was transferred to Stephen, again explained I needed advice and I started to explain the set up. He rudely interrupted me on several occasions, told me I didn’t know was I was talking about (which is what I explained and why I needed help and advice) I asked if he could tell me how he prepared the pig on a pole and what items he needed to be told I should buy one of their kits and I was wasting my time (all I need is the parts to hold the pig on a bar) I explained the spit wasn’t mine and it wasn’t possible to just buy a new set up. He again told me, me and my friends didn’t know what we were doing and then said he didn’t have time for this as he was really busy. I explained the person who owned the spit is a chef and all I’m after was advice on parts. Rudely told me he has been roasting pigs for 30 years and had cooked 1000’s of them, again I asked for a list of items I needed to then be told I’m not listening so I had to send him and email and if he had time he’s respond and put the phone down. I’m actually more gobsmasked than anything that I was upfront about not knowing and was shot down.

The experience was excellent. the food is of the highest quality, the crackling and stuffing are exceptional and would recommend for any events that you are planning.

They catered a turkey dinner for a party of 15 and they were fantastic. It was a great Thanksgiving dinner away from home. Minced pie was excellent.

Horrible Birthday/Thanksgiving Dinner. My girlfriend ordered a turkey dinner from here. The menu clearly said turkey thighs and turkey breast. We did not get the thighs which was unfortunate because the pan of breast was shredded and not sliced, and was dry as sticks. The majority of the dinner consisted of veg which were way overcooked and soggy. The roasted potatoes seemed to have been cooked the day before. The whole dinner was not good, and spoiled our event. The veg all came packaged in the mini loaf tins: peas, parsnips, green beans, thinly sliced carrots, 2 mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, broccoli (not full), cauliflower (also not full, maybe one portion), cauliflower with cheese. The stuffing was also forgotten. The meal was delivered 45 minutes late, when the driver arrived, he had his toddler in a car seat, which seemed unprofessional, but we were trying to be understanding given the current situation. what was hard to understand though, is when you pay almost 200 pounds for a dinner, it would be on time, or the driver would call. I wanted to like this place. I was excited when my girlfriend told me she found a place that could deliver a real turkey dinner. Sadly, I think this was a prime example of over-promising, under-delivering.

I cannot praise James & The Spitting Pig Team enough! They were courteous & professional in their service from start to finish! Nothing was too much trouble for them! It was lovely to know I had nothing to worry about & could entertain my guests leaving them to serve beautifully presented food! I will recommend The Spitting Pig to friends & family & have actually already done so!

Fantastic service! It was easy to understand the options, packages and how it would all work. From the moment we placed the order we heard from someone who would be managing everything. They confirmed a week out, again the night before and stayed in touch en route on the day. When they arrived everything was easy and most importantly the pig was immense!! We had plenty of delicious crackling too and leftovers for later as well, can’t recommend enough.

We hired these guys for our wedding on the 12th of October and they were amazing. Great food excellent and caring service and generally great guys they were perfect and made our special day even better I can't recommend them enough.

Ashley and Hayley came nice and early and their easy approach gave us the confidence to just crack on with other preparations as they set up. The food was amazing - I would recommend the mixed menu. Bit of everything for everyone. The service was stellar. These guys know how to deliver a top notch experience. Polite, good send of humour, and could not do more to make every guest happy. My experience with Spitting Pig from start to finish has been so easy! Initially started from a quick Google search, I found Spitting Pig quickly and the clear website made it easy to find what I was looking – a local hog roast supplier. Comms with the team have been swift and accommodating, menu choices were vast and all appealing! Set up on the day was quick, efficient and professional. Staff were polite, friendly and courteous. Food prep was done on site using fresh ingredients, the pig smelled divine whilst in the roaster!!!! The food was absolutely delicious – the best pork I’ve had in probably ever. There was an excellent selection of bread rolls/wraps to choose from, a fantastic vegetarian option (halloumi skewers), the stuffing and apple sauce was also delicious and the fresh salads and new potatoes were really yummy too. Service was good and no scrimping on portions! It was a perfect set up and we had amazing weather – lovely and sunny. The team packed away so quickly, leaving no hint on site that they’d ever been there. An absolute first class service and I’m already looking for a reason to use them again soon!

Excellent office lunch today up at Cellular Solutions in Sunderland - the catering was by Spotting Pig and the food was fresh and delicious, we ate pork, chicken & beef was such a treat and one I hope we do again soon, the set up was excellent and the cutlery first rate, I can highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have a no fuss BBQ at work or home, in fact any event.

So many thanks to the spitting pig company for catering our wedding this weekend! The price seemed surprisingly low for what they were promising compared to other quotes we had back but we couldn't believe what we got for our money! Really friendly staff, they discreetly laid the tables with plates and cutlery as they arrived and within an hour of serving they had cleared and tidied! The pork was delicious and they catered for all our vegetarian friends and family. (Extra points for doing all of this in high wind and rain...) Definitely recommend!

I contacted Spitting Pig head office to discuss them catering for 100 people at a private party. They were initially very interested until we requested to meet one of their team from our local franchise, at the party venue. Given we were going to be paying £3000 and we'd never used them before this didn't seem unreasonable. The venue is an hours drive from the local franchise. But the Events Manager at head office was quite inflexible and unwilling to help. When I explained that we were 95% decided on booking with Spitting Pig she reluctantly asked me to email her with my reasons, saying she'd get back to me. I emailed her straight after the call. But when I hadn't heard from the Events Manager over a week later I rang and spoke to her. I explained politely that on the basis no one had got back to me, it was clear Spitting Pig were not interested in our business. That consequently we would be using someone else. She could not have been less bothered.

Every step of the way the team at Spitting Pig were super helpful and professional. They came in good time, set everything up, cooked an amazing lunch for 200 hungry people and everyone who wanted it (which was most people) got the chance to have a double helping. Delicious food, great service, friendly and professional staff. We wouldn't hesitate to book them again. 5 stars!

Excellent team and tasty food 10/10

I hired The Spitting Pig Company for a family gathering! The chef provided delicious gourmet burgers, tasty salads, and how could I not mention the perfect Hog Roast with crispy crackling! The company stayed in regular contact with me, helping us coordinate the whole event! The team ensured we had a completely hassle free event and our guests had a fabulous time. We will certainly use Spitting Pig for future parties.
