Good service polite and a fine dinner.

Not the same place, food is overpriced and nothing to write home about

Had to wait but good proper chips and good portions.

Extremely disappointed by our food from here. An absolute waste of money. The fish was dry, there wasn't much batter and it wasn't crispy at all. The chips needed to be cooked for longer. The mushy peas weren't nice. The only nice food was the jumbo sausage. On the photo you can see how much food we left. When we called to complain we were told it was because they were busy. And they had shut by this point so there wasn't anything they could do. Wouldn't go back here again.

Been there twice and got cheese and onion pie and it was burnt inside mentioned it to them and she promised me that this was Fresh one she's sorry about it but yet I got another one and it was burnt inside aswell 😫🤬

Awful food sausage cheap and nasty tasting chips were all bits and no decent chips amongst them will not be going again

Just picked up haddock and chips from barden chippy. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Fish very fresh, chips crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Perfect meal. Would highly recommend. Keep this standard up.

Chips no colour and hard and the fish was very greasy only ate a bit of the fish but the aftertaste lasted all day. Not good and would never use again...

Re opened (again) a few weeks ago. They posted leaflets out a while ago with opening times (which looked like they were open through from lunch till evening, BUT didn't post the closing times in between! 🙄 TBH it's just another mixed fast food takeaway rather than a `chippy`. Twice i've called to try a chicken kebab & they didn't even have any chicken. Their doner meat was dry & tasteless, fish thin & dry but chips were ok. Can only see it going the same way as the last one sadly.

We have had food from here since it reopened and its been fine. However we had a delivery via Just Eat tonight and the driver arrived too early. When this was commented on, he rather rudely said he was doing the chippy a favour and pointed out that its just a short walk to collect! When food was removed from the bag, the meat & potato pie was STONE COLD and had to be microwaved which makes the pastry soggy. The chips were only lukewarm also.

Best fish and chips we’ve had around Burnley. Fish cooked to order so is always fresh and super crispy. Food not greasy. Nice to have a good local chippy!

£2-10 for a small cone of chips & they were like cardboard, deffo not made fresh, more like yesterday's left overs warmed up. Disgusted

First time, definitely going again! The place was very clean and the people are friendly, lots to choose from at great prices, taste is above and beyond and portions are more than enough, definitely worth a visit.

Great place only been once but will use more often now

I used to order from here and the chips have been nice however I ordered 2 portions today and the chips were stale and hard as rock, old chips that were probably sitting there and had been warmed up . I was offered a single new portion however I declined. Very unimpressed.

Called in today for fish, chips and gravy, I’m presuming it’s under new ownership because to young ladies we’re behind the counter. The fish are cooked fresh and very tasty, you get a good portion of chips and the gravy is nice and thick and tasty. Both the girls we’re polite and friendly, keep up the good work. Enjoy

A large order for 11 was met professionally , quickly and at a reasonable cost from spotless premises. The food was lovely the staff friendly and accommodating.

A large cod is a fiver - and it's worth every penny. Fantastic fish, great chips. We sat outside on the picnic table in the sunshine to eat. We'll be back!

Fish was a bit on the strong side in smell, and taste. But lovely bit of grub, non the less. Will come again.

Called in this chippy many a time and it never disappoints, the food is always cooked fresh and the service is always friendly. It's a good old fashion chippy you can trust for good value food, there is parking behind the shop so you won't be disappointed. Their are plenty of photos to look at whilst waiting for your food. I called in for a fish n mushy peas The fish was very tasty and freshly cooked in front of me. The chippy is very clean and the two people in the shop were very friendly.God value for money will call again.

Had been told about this little chippy by some friends so driving past the other day I called in for some I noticed when I went in a sogn saying fish cooked to order, well yes it was as well as the chips worth waiting for, very very good well worth a visit. The shop although some was clean and tidy even though it was near closing time, well for me a bloody good basic English fish and chip shop, Wupee.....Peter

A lovely Chippy on Barden Lane The owners have given great `curb appeal` to this little Chippy with outside seating and lovely flower baskets. I`m sure they are Burnley Football fans as there is some memorabelia displayed inside. I`m sure you will not be disappointed with the quality of the fish & chips.

Called in just before it was due to open at tea-time and was served straight away. Cooked to order and good, with friendly service. Step to get in and on street parking. No seating just takeaway. Very good, will go again.

Only been in a couple of times but we now a have a quality chippy just round the corner replacing previous failures!!!The food is cooked fresh to order so allow a couple of minutes rather than having food out of the heater that's been stood . So the end result dry dry chips and fish fried to perfection piping hot in dry light crispy batter just what the doctor ordered on a cold evening . Lovely staff .....

Visited here for the first time even though I obnly live down the road! Chips were excellent and the Hollands pie just finished it off. Just a shame not open weekend tea time. A Saturday chippy tea would be lovely. Quite cheap too! Got plenty of chips for my money.

Tried this one for the first time, looks very clean but god I was ill that night, my stomach my rattling all night my grandson left he's dry chips not one to go back to

Been in now a couple of times since i found out Stephen and Anne had taken over.everything is cooked fresh to order.Great the fish are put in boxes and not the usual polystyrene trays with lids.also a slice of lemon is a nice touch.Another big plus CLARETS fans too.

Barden Lane chippy is the best chip shop in the area, it's open lunch and tea time to tickle your taste buds. We have called here many a time and we are never disappointed. Stephen and Anne always have a friendly smile and time for a chat when you call in, they are there to provide you with the tastiest Chippy Food for miles around.
