Outstanding independent coffee/doughnut/hog roast takeaway. Welcoming people (thanks Joey & Bailey!) who were friendly and happy to chat. Coffee was delicious (freshly brewed filter), and the hog roast roll was the best I’ve had - complete with crackling. Don’t get me started on the doughnuts.
I have never left a review before, but I had to this time. The food was nothing short of excellent and the service phenomenal. I would highly recommend to anyone.
Booked here last night on a flying visit to Lyme.
From the moment we walked in the door we were welcomed.
We’ve eaten pizza in Italy many times and this was very authentic, crisp, well cooked and full of taste. Delicious.
The wine too was genuinely lovely, full of flavour and no nasty aftertaste.
The whole atmosphere and staff were brilliant. Friendly but not invasive with realistic prices.
You can see why Poco pizza is popular. Reserve a table and you won’t be disappointed.
This will be out go to when we next visit Lyme.
We choose Yarlbury Cottage after reading a review in the Telegraph as we like restaurants with rooms. We certainly were not disappointed. Charming place, great attention to details in rooms, cosy lounge and dog called Buster. The three course dinner plus amuse bouche was delicious, featuring lots of local ingredients and impressive wine list. We even managed the huge breakfast in the morning. All great value
Very good food and hospitality staff were very welcoming all round a great stop . Plentiful food menu had lots of choice and good selection at the bar.
Visited after spotting someone eating one of the bao whilst we were in Lyme! Absolutely delicious- fresh, vibrant flavours and generous serving of meat in each bao. I had the rice chicken satay box and it was great- super portion and so fresh! The chilli crisp was unreal. My daughter had the kids rice box and great size portion and she loved it- 3 sizeable pieces of pork belly, rice and carrot/cucumber so ideal for kids who are interested in eating good food! Not cheap but VERY reasonable for the quality and esp considering there is a cafe directly opposite Red Panda which charges £12 for a jacket potato!!! Go to Red Panda, order 1 of everything then sit on the benches outside and enjoy the view and the grub- totally worth it.
Pretty good place! Interesting range of dishes and some good veggie sides, with the ash potatoes snd padron peppers especially nice. My group (we visited last month) ordered entirely vegetarian food and, even with a relatively small menu, we enjoyed the variety of flavours on offer.
It was a little pricey but ultimately the food was good quality and the intimate atmosphere and decor made the night feel special. Didn't drink myself but according to others in my group, the wine and sangria was apparently excellent! I would def recommend if you want something a bit different and don't mind paying a bit more than usual for it.
Excellent local food and great service very knowledgable and friendly staff!
A memorable experience and he paired wines were a great compliment to this vey English cuisine.
Amazing service. Really considerate of my needs as I'm coeliac. Friendly to my little boy and let him try a bit of ice cream as he was getting into a panic about deciding. The ice creams were delicious. Really lovely flavours and a good selection. Highly recommend
This lovely, welcoming vegetarian cafe is well worth a visit. A jewel in Beaminster and loved by locals and visitors alike. The four of us were warmly greeted and offered a good sized round table. The 10 year old with us declared the creamy scrambled egg on toast as the best they had ever had. Beautiful granary bread for the cheese & pickle sandwich and avocado bagels were delicious.
This little cafe stands out from its competitors with lovely fresh food, beautifully presented and at a good price. We return whenever we are in Lyme Regis
Such a disappointing experience. Very expensive (£11 for soup and one slice of bread which didn't come with any butter) and even more money for a "hotpot" which was saag aloo. The saag also was basically overcooked potato, which was absolutely tasteless with hardly any spinach and, again, a small slice of bread with no butter (many vegan butters could have been provided!).
Great tasty late afternoon breakfast and toasted scones. Friendly service and ambience. The cafe is a family run business and is located off the main square in Beauminster so could easily be missed. It was a Monday and most of the cafes were closed and the few that were open had only cold food so it was great to find somewhere serving warm food. Look for the orange sign on the square or outside the cafe. The cafe has artwork and crafts on display as well as books and is light and bright.
Stayed here in August 23. Lovely accommodation, spacious and clean. Vikki and Martin are both very helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere. The children loved playing in the games room and the communal garden. We might even come back for another visit. Would highly recommend this accommodation.
