Just had the best street food I have ever had the curry and rice was amazing you can choose from a range of different curry’s and different heats The dad and daughter team that run this fantastic stall are so friendly that I can’t wait for next Saturday and apparently they are there at the Wednesday market as well

This is on street on market days really nice currys served with rice they do around 5 currys of various heat also a vegetarian option well worth trying

Blimey if you are in the mood for a curry get yourself down to spice and rice in Bridport. The most flavoursome curry I have had. Even got my daughter to have have the saag aloo, her words were "when can we have it again!" my thoughts as well.

A regular visit when in Bridport. Street food at its very best. Take away service from 11.30am Wednesday and Saturday market days. 5 different curry dishes, all GF, one vegan. Get in the queue early!

The food from Spice and Rice is so good that it is addictive and you can not help keep going back each week for more. Excellent service as well, I can not recommend this food enough.

Was an extremely happy bunny to be working in Bridport today. Ordered my curry early and collected when I had a spare few minutes. Brilliant service and amazing curry.

Whilst on a break in Dorset we visited the Bridport Saturday market. As we were self catering we were looking for something suitable for an evening meal. We were immediately drawn to a mobile kitchen cooking the most amazing curries fresh at the roadside. The smell was so teasing as we waited nearby until the 11.30 serving time. We went for a medium curry, a golab dhal and a long grain rice. The guys serving were so polite and knowledgable. We reheated the curry later and oh my gosh! So worth waiting for. Packed with fresh ginger and garlic and a manageable chilli hit. So tasty. Good size portions too. I thought I could cook a decent curry but these guys have the hidden secrets. Well done!

One mild, one medium & two hot, all with rice! Not often there’s silence at mealtimes but we were busy enjoying the curries! So tasty - roll on next market day!

Picked up two curries and one rice from Bridport High St, Wednesday market, enough for two meals each and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken karahi (medium) and the wife had the garlic chilli chicken (hot). One of the best curries I've ever had! They are in Bridport on Saturdays and Axminster on Thursdays too. Don't get there too late or they'll be sold out. 11am onwards.

Spice and Rice vistited the campsite where i stayed, very good food, and resonably priced. My kids loved it too and they are fussy!

Have been meaning to try Spice & Rice for a long time and luckily my daughters bought me a home delivery for Father’s Day. It was great. It’s not very often that people can do Indian cuisine very well, but this is the exception. Very flavoursome and the portions are great. Have had more since then, for my birthday and look forward to the next lot. Well done the both of you. ‘Crazy Old Mart’

Al and Fran produce THE BEST curries around. Amazing flavours and perfect portion sizes for a great price. They never disappoint. If you love honest home cooked curry using fresh ingredients and local meat (and veg) that taste incredible then look no further. There customer service is spot on and they are delivered to your door using Covid safe practice (and always a huge smile ) so you don't even need to leave the house. The perfect treat night. Have ordered a couple of times, faultless each time. The communication and delivery was very smooth, the curry has to be the best I’ve ever had, even the children couldn’t get enough. For our first family get together we enjoyed a selection of lovely Indian dishes with lots of tasty fresh Ingredients. We can highly recommend. Can’t wait for our next visit 😀

Delicious curry delivered to your door at a really reasonable price.You have got to try the Dorset naga chili chicken curry. It is sensational. We don't bother with takeaways anymore- we just order direct from spice n rice. Their website is easy to order on. They come pre packaged so just pop them in the fridge or heat them up on the hob or micro for delicious tasty curry. Great people as well. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Not had a curry from Al and Fran for a while as changed jobs and wasn't just able to pop to the square on market day in Axminster and grab one on my lunch break. Had 4 home deliveries for my daughter and i over the last few weeks and must say it better than ever, the flavours were amazing, the portions were perfect and my daughter really enjoyed hers too. Wow, what can I say! Honestly the best curries I have had! Whole family loved them. Reasonably priced and efficient service. Highly recommended.

Have enjoyed Spice and Rice curries at various activities where they have provided the catering , however with the current restrictions due to Covid-19 we used their home delivery service. We were given a time slot and were called prior to delivery and our order was delivered professionally with health and safety considerations met. Now on to the best bit . The food was of the highest standard , it’s quality, taste, portion everything was perfect. I will use again and I have no concerns in recommending this business for all others . If you haven’t tried do so , you will be amazed.

Just popped into the Royal Oak in Charmouth for a bite to eat and very happy to say that Spice and Rice had taken over the kitchen tonight and I had the pleasure of tasting their delicious food. £12 a head for a poppodum, daal, saag aloo, chicken balti, rice, flat bread and chutney - great value and great tasting food. Will definitely be looking out to see when they are back. They also cater for functions and private parties, so good to know.

We met Alastair and "white van" FranWhilst having a lovely few sunny Sunday beers in a bar in Woolacombe.These guys are so passionate and driven about their business! It's great to hear that after all the hard work and ups and downs that they have got to this.I have no idea what their product tastes like but if I'm near Bridport I'll be there for a thali. And maybe a spot of Dutch arrow training for my next hobby

cooked fresh on site weds and fridays between 6.30 to 7.30 very reasonable prices and good portions,get there early as large queues form

Went to Bridport Market Weds 11th Sept 2018 saw the van, curry smelt really good so my wife and i decided to try for our lunch, amazed by how good the curry was great taste cooked just right. 2 curries for £13.98 My normal Take away in tourquay charge is 24.98. Would recommend to any one who likes curry Well done you two

Have been purchasing curry from these guys at Axminster Farmers Market where they have stall on Thursdays. Absolutely fantastic food and good service really worth visiting.

Like many of the reviews here, this is probably the best curry I have had for some time. The pricing is also very competitive. This just proves how much British street food has improved in recent years.

Having driven and walked past Spice & Rice numerous times in Bridport I finally decided to try it with my sister last summer. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our choice. Since then whenever I fancy a curry I visit this exceptional market trader!

While out shopping on Saturday I walked past 'Spice & Rice' on Bridport High Street. The first thing that got my attention, was the aroma. Then I looked at the food on offer & my mouth watered. Only having a curry the night before from else where, I decided to give it a miss. (my mistake.)

On arriving at Wood Farm caravan park we decided to try this curry takeaway which operates from the site behind reception on Fridays. I am so pleased we did! Offering mild to hot curries with a veggie option and poppadoms and chutneys we had a wonderful meal in our caravan. Full of flavour and reasonably priced, the owners had a very slick operation and although there was a queue it moved quickly. Will definately patronise again when we come back!

Recently stayed at woodfarm camping site in Dorset and was surprised with small businesses dropping in on set nights selling different foods.

Excellent tasty selection of currys,mild to hot. Beef or chicken or vegetarian with rice. Quickly served on the footpath of high street Bridport.

Habiendo comido aquí varias veces, puedo decir que las especias y arroz haga el curry más delicioso que he probado en mucho tiempo. Se puede decir que están recién hechas y con buena calidad de los ingredientes. Son tan buenos que tienen ahora obligada almorzar 'cada vez que vamos a Bridport para pasar el fin de semana. Sin duda volveremos!

Esta es una idea brillante, que sirve deliciosos curries viajando alrededor de personas muy hambriento! Los encontramos en la botella Inn (Marshwood, Dorset) y la comida era deliciosa y muy razonables y el servicio fue muy positiva y feliz y realizado para una agradable experiencia. Su nivel de limpieza de su equipo de servir y era insuperable.

A truly fantastic curry cooked for our anniversary party. A great range of curries, all freshly cooked and every guest went away full. Price was fantastic and the couple cooking were lovely. I would really recommend them.

Mientras visitaba a Bridport ir al mercado nos encontramos con especias y arroz, decidimos darle una oportunidad y no nos decepcionó, curry para todas las paletas! La comida era fresca y deliciosos sabores, hizo un cambio refrescante a pescado y papas fritas!!

A menudo visita Spice & Arroz comida para llevar de parte", que nunca me decepcionó. También reservamos luego para una fiesta de cumpleaños hace un par de años, donde para unos 130 personas y fue realmente excelente, excelente comida, excelente servicio y gente muy agradable. Sin duda lo recomiendo!!

Love walking along watching Ali cook up a treat on market day then pop back to pick one up - he's got picnic tables too now so you can hoof up your curry and watch the world go by. My friend takes packs of them back home! A market day tradition - we are gutted when he is not there!
