Food was fantastic, freshly cooked and very tasty with fresh herbs. I had the roasted squash salad, my elderly parents had salmon & beetroot salads and my partner had the lamb burger..everyone was very happy. We also found room somehow to try the cakes which were also also great, lemon & blueberry and the orange & almond. Dog friendly too and tables were not crammed together so good if you're dog is a bit nervous like ours. Service was good too, friendly and attentive. Place was relatively quiet on a Monday, and a shame not more of the adjacent craft places are open / occupied.

Expensive, only had coffees, 3/4 full mug, lots of foam, not much coffee. £8.50 for two coffee (one oat milk) saucer for the tea spoons was badly chipped. Not the warmest of welcome.

What a lovely gem of a cafe. We visited Abbotsbury for the first time and popped in to Cherries for a light lunch. The young ladies were so very helpful guiding us to a table. I enquired about the local bottled cider on offer and the waitress suggested the Elderflower. It was delicious and just as she described. We then ordered lunch and it was on our table within 10 minutes of ordering. Such service. Again delicious and cooked to perfection. Finally Apple cake was in order, suggested by the waitress and again delicious. I loved too that the waitresses came across and asked if everything was OK,and asked if the choice of cider was good. I saw waitresses because move than one came to see if everything was satisfactory. Such good service. All in all a wonderful lunch visit with such friendly helpful smiley staff Thank you all.

Our visit today wasn't great. After being seated we were greeted by the loudest, most narcissistic waitress we've ever met. Not only did she speak to us as if we were five year olds while behaving as if she were on-stage, she got our order wrong as well. She was clearly more interested in herself than her customers. The coffee wasn't fantastic either and one of us was unwell after having it. We won't be visiting Cherries again, which is a shame, it could have been so much better today. Perhaps it was just an off day. Or at least I hope so.

We dropped into the Cafe for a cup of tea and my wife, who struggles with her mobility, went to see if there was a table while I queued. The lady behind the counter shouted her back and effectively told her to wait in the queue, despite there being plenty of tables. So rude and she embarrassed us. We went to another cafe down the road and were made to feel welcome.

We stumbled upon Cherries at Abbey Farm almost by accident today and were delighted we did. My wife had the gluten free brownie and loved it. My espresso was fantastic, and the teenagers loved the Dorset apple cake. A lovely location with a great sunny garden out back and in amongst the old tithe barn, lake, house and gardens.

We gave this place a try as we were passing and so glad that we did. A busy, bustling place with a lovely vibe, great friendly service and amazing looking cakes. We both ordered the carbonara with udon noodles. Best carbonara ever! Not really Italian, more Japanese but it was sensational. The flavours were incredible. All served promptly and with a smile. We will be back to try the pulled pork burger as we saw that arrive on another table and it looked really good. Thank you

Absolutely fabulous lunch, had heard good reports of this place so headed out for lunch. Can't fault it, lovely place, great staff and really amazing food. Will definitely be going back to try something else from the mouth watering menu and the cakes as we were too full for cake. My new fave place to go.

We arrived mid-afternoon and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, feeling welcomed by the friendly staff. We ordered the cream cheese and salmon bagel and the ham and egg on brioche bun with fries. All were really well presented along with a delicious pickled veg and leafy side salad. High quality, tasty food. The coffees were made with skill and tasted really good. The large range of cakes looked superb so we left with some brownies to take away which was a very good decision - delicious! The interior is thoughtfully designed with very pretty decor - you can tell the owners really care about their business. Dogs were welcomed and this always makes a place better in my opinion. I would recommend Cherries and will definitely return here.

This lovely place was a highlight of our trip to Weymouth this year as we had never visited before. A delightful building set in a beautiful part of Abbotsbury village. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We all chose the Dorset apple cake with coffee which was so good and very fresh. We would definitely recommend you visit here. The lunch menu also looked great so we will look forward to a return soon.

Visited here in October half-term. Lovely food - particularly the adults chilli. Also lovely customer service - my 6 year old refused to eat his lunch and they very kindly prepared some toast and cut-up carrots, pepper, apples and cheddar for him - really appreciated!

Everything is homemade and boy can you tell! We stumbled upon this place after our trip to the Swannery and we are so glad we did! The menu is wonderful and imaginative. You can really tell how much love and care has gone into it. We ordered a few small plates to share and the Mediterranean platter we were blown away. We will definitely be returning! The front of house staff were so attentive and welcoming. They added a really nice personal touch. After our meals we finished with coffee (delicious) and a variety of cakes to share . Every slice was beautiful and moist.

Closes at 4pm but after offering us menus we were then told, at just 2.50pm, that they had decided to close the kitchen early, so no lunch menu after all! We both decided to choose the Victoria sponge - but disappointed as it was dry and well passed it's best. At £4 per slice it should have been at least moist. Refunded and apologised but not somewhere we will be returning to or could recommend based on this experience.

We’re so glad we walked down the hill to find this place. On our first visit, at the start of a long walk, we intended to just have a coffee, but the cannoli on the counter looked so tempting, we couldn’t resist. This was another good decision – they were absolutely fantastic. The coffee was wonderful too. The staff were lovely and helpful. We returned the very next day, and made sure we were there for lunch. This was another superb treat. The ciabattas we had were amazing – imaginative ingredients, crammed with flavour. Again, the service was smiley and welcoming – despite being rushed off their feet in the heat. Highly, highly recommended.

We had stayed in Abbotsbury before, and decided to come back as it so lovely, we visited Cherries Abbey Farm Sunday morning, a lovely welcome, and we were asked if we wanted to sit outside or in, we decided outside, it was lovely, my husband had the breakfast and I had the salmon and eggs, both were delicious, we have said we will return. We will definitely recommend you.

What a lovely place. Such nice staff who are very welcoming. Plenty of variety on offer, breakfast menu, lunch BCP menu and various snacks and drinks. I’d say the food is definitely not pub grub, more high end. It’s surrounded by several small local crafty shop. All situated around the village pond. Plenty of FREE parking. I got the long wheelbase van in easily. Afterwards there’s plenty of walks in the beautiful countryside. Also a short walk to the Swan sanctuary.

The waitress was really polite and efficient and coped well when somebody is front of me, an impatient and perhaps a little rude customer was speaking. I was impressed. The hot chocolate was good. I went there to meet with a tutor and, although there was a friendly buzz of chatter and sounds, it was quiet enough for me to be able to listen to the tutor. Thank you.
