This lovely, welcoming vegetarian cafe is well worth a visit. A jewel in Beaminster and loved by locals and visitors alike. The four of us were warmly greeted and offered a good sized round table. The 10 year old with us declared the creamy scrambled egg on toast as the best they had ever had. Beautiful granary bread for the cheese & pickle sandwich and avocado bagels were delicious.

Great new owners, NOTE telephone number on trip advisor is for the old owner so please don’t call it.. Shop is based conveniently in the car park with easy access. Serving hot and cold snacks drinks and must have beach essentials. Enjoy a stroll down to the town or a stroll to the beach, great location for exploring the local area.

We visited in December whilst in the area. The best way to describe this place is average. The staff were friendly, but food did take a while to come. The food was okay, but didn't seem anything exceptional. For the quality of the food, I would have expected the prices to be a bit lower but I guess in current times that is tricky. One of the other customers there recommended the breakfasts but we weren't going to be in the area again so no chance to try.

Went to Hillside for afternoon tea with my two sisters. Absolutely delightful experience. Sat outside in the sunshine, peaceful, quiet with hostess Sue who was just lovely. All the food was delicious and homemade with refills on tea and coffee. Can't recommend Sue highly enough and will be going back again.

Well, what a lovely place! Recommended by a pal. Went for coffee and cake. This place is unique like going into yourGran’s front room. So cosy, friendly. Hand written bigmenu. Our cake was amazing, the waitress was lovely, friendly with humour. Wish that we lived closer. Great value. Many thanks

We dined at their pop up in Lyme Regis on a Saturday night. Delightful take on tapas using fish and no meat. We really enjoyed all the dishes with the mackerel being the highlight for us. Looking forward to the next visit. Staff were all very personable and helpful without being intrusive, a fine balance to walk and they managed it well.

Nestled among the kiosks, restaurants and pubs this little gem is a must for ice cream lovers. Selling some of the nicest ice cream I have had - Marshfield Farm. I opted for a waffle cone with 2 scoops, mint choc chip and honeycomb. I even shared it with my husband who loves mint choc chip! Well worth a visit, just be wary of the seagulls!

This was a spontaneous lunch on a grey, wet, windy day. Decision made after a recommendation from Sam at Jurassic Coastal Meats. Thanks Sam… it was great! Looked after well by Mikey and an unnamed waitress. 2 course set menu for £22.95 or 3 courses for an additional £6. Whilst perusing the menu we were served bread with flavoured butter. I was offered the opportunity to taste several reds before settling for the Romanian Pinot noir, which was full bodied and fruity. My husband had an extensive choice of bottled ales from the local Puddle brewery. He chose the stout which was delicious and smooth. Not as heavy as some of the more familiar ones. After explaining about my allergy to chillies, the tuna starter was served with tomato chutney rather than the mango salsa. My husband had the soup. We arrived towards the end of service so the red mullet was sold out, but there was plenty remaining from which to choose. My husband had the ling ( similar to hake or cod) whilst I had the chicken. Husband found room for crumble whilst I could only manage a coffee. Excellent decaf with my preference of oat milk as the accompaniment. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back, hopefully with friends… thank you to Leigh and your team.
