Another wonderful meal at Bistro 7 and so sad it was on the closing night. We've enjoyed so many fantastic meals here over the years. Ludlow has lost one of its best restaurants.

Never again Thought we would go after missing out last year On arriving dead on 8 we were told our table would not be ready till 830 This is exactly the same thing that happened last year They gave our vacant table to someone arriving on spec at 730 Just greedy by the manager Anyway we left and went elsewhere So you can not guarantee having a booked table waiting for you Sure we are not the only people this has happened to

My husband and I booked this restaurant as it was one of the few restaurants with availability as it was valentine’s night. The reviews on TripAdvisor seemed positive enough but I was very very disappointed when presented with a steak that was not properly cooked - it was actually raw in the middle . I know I had asked for medium rare but there is a difference between medium rare and actually raw. It was tough and chewy and u asked for it to be redone. The steak was still tough and I struggled to not only cut it but also chewing it. The staff eventually offered me a steak knife , which should have been served with my steak to begin with, but I still struggled to cut through the meat as it was tough as boots. I think the steak was recooked in a microwave which toughened it or perhaps it was just poor quality steak . I gave up eating it and left most of it. The staff not only seemed unapologetic but refused to accept that it was tough and would not take it off the bill but after some argument took off the supplementary charge . It will be the last time we visit this eatery again for sure.

We stayed at the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a go. The food was actually tasty - we had pea veloute and asparagus starters and we both went for steak. There were also some lovely amuse bouches. However, the meal was spoiled by the length of time everything took, and the inexperienced serving staff. It took 15 minutes to take our drink order and another 20 to deliver it. 2 courses (and a couple of amuse bouches) took 2 hours. The wait for the main course just went on and on, and when it arrived it arrived in trickles. First we got the steak on its own. 5 minutes later the chips arrived, and sometime after that the (cold but tasty) mashed potato. By 10pm, we were so tired we decided to forgo dessert. The other thing that was irritating was the menu, which was completely lacking in detail (example: "Cod: curry, sourdough"). Trying to be clever? The problem was, when we asked the servers what exactly that was, we got the answer "fish with curry sauce with pieces of bread in it". Not exactly inspiring... Perhaps it was croutons? We'll never know! When asked what one of the amuse bouches was we were told it was "sweet potato and mustard". They need to either rewrite the menu or actually train their staff so they understand what they're serving. Shame, as the food was nice but we definitely won't be back. The prices charged are for fine dining but it was all a bit too amateur to justify that.

Popped in and was very pleased. Great service, cake and coffee!! Throughly lovely people and a pleasant atmosphere. Would visit again.

An unexpected gem. The lunch menu was interesting and varied. We ordered the Confit Duck, which was the day's special. It was beautifully cooked and presented, as good as any we have had in France! We also shared the Gyoza starter and Apple and Plum crumble all done to the same high standard and clearly homemade. The staff were friendly and attentive. We have eaten at several other venues in Ludlow which seem to be more highly rated by TA but this will be our first choice from now on.

Delicious fresh cooked food with generous portions in a historical setting ( the old school). Very friendly service and as we were the last ones to leave we had the privilege of talking to the owners all about Greece. It was a really enjoyable evening and good value too! Would highly recommend.

Cannot quite understand some previous reviews as they do not align with our experience. On both our visits the cakes and snacks were excellent, well accomplished cooking and tea and coffee were good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Furniture is simple but is not poor condition and is sufficient for this establishment. Excellent little cafe with superb patisserie.

I came in here with my family and i absolutely loved it! The staff were very friendly and kind. The food was amazing and presentation couldnt be better! without a doubt coming back soon!

Another delicious lunch at Chapter 66. The food is stylish and delicious whether you have a simple bowl of soup or the fish cake. We are very lucky to have Chapter 66 in Ludlow. Why eat a horrible sandwich when you can have this standard of food for just a little more?

Amazing and delicious breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. I travelled with my daughter and we had a recommendation to try this place. We weren’t disappointed, the staff are so hard working and so friendly and the food is delicious. Really recommend.

A delightful little place that we chanced upon although tucked away in a small courtyard. Excellent fresh tapas, with a lovely ambiance.
