Cannot quite understand some previous reviews as they do not align with our experience. On both our visits the cakes and snacks were excellent, well accomplished cooking and tea and coffee were good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Furniture is simple but is not poor condition and is sufficient for this establishment. Excellent little cafe with superb patisserie.

Overpriced at £10 for 3 small tarts. Poor quality and stale soggy pastry. The leek tart was overpowered by thyme and sour tasting. Lemon tart was wet and lacked zing. Tarts look appetising but dont pass the taste test!!

It was towards the end of the day and there were only a few cakes left so I had a coffee and white chocolate tart. The most wonderful cakes I have ever eaten. I wish I didn't live quite so far away!!! If the rest of their cakes are as good as that I would happily eat my way through the whole lot!!!!

We were passing by and stopped when we saw the delicious looking cakes. We had the salted caramel and pear and millionaire’s tarts and two types of brownies. They were quite simply some of the best cakes we’ve tasted. I wish we lived nearby!

Great looking assortment of cakes and pastries. Always a queue each time we passed, so before our journey home we called. Special offer of four cake tarts for £10 which was good as we couldnt decide having too much choice, so had to buy four !! Only had two so far which were very tasty and fresh.

We had a fabulous lunch in this little gem of a place. Husband had ham salad baguette. Bread was delicious and ham was proper home cooked. I had an absolutely delicious salmon tart with a lovely fresh kale and butternut squash salad. The tea came in a large generous sized pot. The couple who run this place were super friendly. We took two tarts home. I'm sitting here at home eating the most amazing tart I've ever tasted. It's pear and salted caramel. Off the scale delicious. Sod the diet! We will be back when we're next in Ludlow.

This is an unpretentious small shop in the centre of town but is easily overlooked. The pastries and cakes in the window look scrumptious and the tasting reality easily meets expectations. The lady who served us was friendly and helpful and made us a couple of hot, strong coffess to complement those sweet delights.I think a lot of their trade must be take away cake sales becasue there are only a few tables at the back of the store and no toilet. But don't let that put you off. if you can't get a seat, take a pastru home. If you can, a half hour in Dugans with a coffee and a cake, is a half hour well spent. You will not be disappointed.

This was a lovely individual bakery. The tarts were something to die for. So good we sat in and had one each, then bought more to take home. A place we will definitely be returning to.

Called in on way back to coach. Cafe was open while others had closed. The pots of tea were plentiful and the lady very friendly the price of the tea was very reasonable. But because the owner said there was no toilet would not have stayed if we had known this.had to leave to find a toilet before getting the coach.

Nice range of tarts - including some delicious gluten-free options. 4 for £10 seems reasonable for the quality of the products.

Came across this little shop whilst walking around town last week. The pastries are truly delicious (and unique) but crucially the lady was exceptionally friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make our young family welcome! Thank you.

Keep going back to this little gem in Ludlow, homely and friendly service, good cuppa, good choice of cakes and all served with a smile. The pastry on these cakes is top class. Thank you for making our visits to you so lovely. We will be back again and again I'm afraid.

We found Dugan's on New Year's Eve when othe places were closed. It is a simple shop but we were warmly welcomed and there was a good selection of patisserie to choose from. The cakes were good and the drinks were fine, and at a very resonable price.

Pretty basic coffee shop ... and too expensive for this crowded market . Place needs some TLC from the fridge with half a bottle of milk in it to the random bottles in the 8 seat seating area .

The most gorgeous little patisserie! An amazing range of cakes - the brownies are delicious and everything is a feast for the eyes. They do food to eat in and take away and I most certainly will be back for another brownie next time I am in Ludlow!

Had a coffee and the best slice of lemon and poppyseed drizzle cake ever, from the concession the Dugan’s had at the feed festival. There was quite a line for service, but the staff were efficient and friendly. The range of patisserie was extensive, and all looked delicious, so I can only imagine how wonderful the in town location must be.

Stumbled on this fantastic little patisserie & I'm so glad that we found it! Imaginative creations that tasted even better than they looked. The icing on the cake was the multi-buy offer of 4 for £10.

Ludlow had for a long time lacked a place where you get high quality pastries and cakes. The pastries are a wonderful mix of dark and white chocolates, fruits and excellent lemon tarts. The lemon drizzle is the best I have ever tasted and sets a new standard as far as we are concerned. The coffee is equally good.

Found this bakery by accident, what a discovery. I am somewhat of a cake connoisseur and I can honestly say these are the best tarts and cakes I have ever eaten . Bang went the diet , I managed 3 , all full of flavour, great texture and thoroughly delicious. So pleased I don’t live in Ludlow as the temptation to visit everyday would be overwhelming. I will return soon

Yet again not disappointed by the fabulous choice and then the eating....Looking forward to many return visits in the summer when we return to Ludlow in July!! Staff very friendly and welcoming so make sure you add Dugans to your trip to Ludlow for either a stay in coffee and treat or take away!!

We came here for a pit stop on a Saturday visit to Ludlow and were not disappointed. We were drawn in by the mouthwatering window display of cake artistry. The cakes all looked like French patisserie creations. Yum yum!! I had a cappuccino coffee and my husband had an Americano. They were absolutely delicious. We shared one of the lemon flapjacks which was truly gorgeous tasting. There was only a little room at the back of the cafe with three tables, but it was a joy to sit in such a quiet Peaceful space. We will definitely be back on a future visit to Ludlow.

Visited Dugan's after lunch and had a tart and a salted chocolate and banana cake thing. Oh my, they were delicious. The quality in comparison to your usual 'slice of Victoria Sponge' was worth the price. Had a really lovely flat white with our cake, too. Sat in their cute little back tea room.

A tasty looking window display caught our eye at lunchtime today although we were looking for some something more substantial for lunch. We ate elsewhere and then returned to buy a few cakes to try later. They were excellent, including a gluten free almond, orange and hazelnut cake that was moist and delicious. Well done! There were so many beautiful cakes that we wanted to try, but our diets dictate that we will have to pick them off one visit at a time. A very welcome addition to the Ludlow foody world.

We had heard that Dugan's had opened in Ludlow and we were in need of a tea and something sweet. This lovely little establishment does not fail. Tucked away on a busy thorough fare the window display is so tempting, a variety of sweet and savoury tarts and cakes. Proper coffee and quality tea served by efficient and friendly staff (very obviously local and all the better for that, they knew their customers!). The tarts were sublime, delicious melt in the mouth pastry, with exemplary fillings, this is real quality. They take orders for specials and have larger dinner party tarts for sale on the day.

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend
