Absolutely incredible food and selection of wine! We pre-booked our table after seeing the offer in What's What magazine for a free bottle of wine with any 2 main courses - we were not disappointed. To start we enjoyed the hummus, grilled pitta, sourdough and olives. Plenty of food for two people - we couldn't finish the olives. Followed by the duck breast with a side of herby new potatoes, both were simply out of this world. You definitely pay for what you get for and the service was pleasant too. Having visited earlier in the year, the standard of food was exquisite then too. Definitely worth visiting!

A countryside pub with a good atmosphere and plenty of choice on the menu with tasty food. Staff friendly. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere.

This pub may be a little off the beaten track but well worth a detour to experience delicious food and friendly staff. My wife and I ( and dog) arrived at 1.30 for a 2 pm Sunday lunch. The sun was shining and our pre lunch drink on their patio turned into our lunch table. We were so well looked after by a really friendly team. Sharing a breaded cod and tartar sauce starter was only the prelude to a great Sunday roast. Meaty cod lion piping hot in a light breadcrumb coat . And light homemade tartar sauce with squeezed lemon made a tasty start. The pork loin was thick cut and accompanied by perfect roast potatoes, green veg, swede ,carrot and apple/ pork stuffing. Lots of thick gravy leaving us pretty contented. Crumble and ice cream found it’s way to us together with big hot coffees. Places like this deserve to do well. They really know how to cook and look after you. It’s a bargain at under £50 a head

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far

Great service, incredible price, a vegetarian paradise!! When we arrived the kitchen was just closing but the chef asked us what we were wanting and then accommodated for us 2 fabulous meals. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Lovely decore and perfect music to go with it.

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend

Very very disappointing...we booked for Sunday lunch..big mistake. We were not greeted on arrival, there wasn't even anyone behind the bar for us to let them know we had arrived.... But from there it went downhill....we were put on the smallest table in the furthest corner despite there being lots of much nicer empty tables available..we eventually managed to order drinks and asked to order food..The waitress mumbled something and walked off....a lovely young man delivered our drinks and said the young lady would be back.....when she returned to take our food order we asked what she had said, apparently it was they had lamb....then we tried to order but what she actually meant was they only had lamb nothing else and mostly no veg either...one of our party doesnt eat red meat so lamb wasnt an option but the waitress did nothing to try to help the problem...no offer to check if the kitchen could help.....I really could understand this situation if we were walk ins but we had booked...they knew we were coming....why would you not attempt to provide at least one other choice We drove to Bridgnorth from Shrewsbury to take some family out for a treat and thats the best they could offer....obviously we will not return.
