Spent a very pleasant afternoon here Saturday 5th October. The staff were great and the beer ( I opted for Salopian Oracle) was excellent and reasonably priced. Great selection of beers to choose from too but the Oracle was so good I stuck with Didn't try any food so can't comment on that. Definitely recommended if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a nice relaxing pint.

Staff distracted, disinterested and borderline rude. Ignored initially when waiting at the bar to order drinks, which were over priced. Don't mind paying more for drink to sit somewhere with a nice atmosphere and good service, which is what I was expecting. Instead the music was too loud (for the afternoon), staff were too self involved and everything was a bit sticky, could do with with good clean.

Someone recommended this bar to us as being the one you cannot miss in Shrewsbury if you are a fan of craft ale ! When we arrived, not all the taps were marked up properly so we asked what they had and if they had any DIPA's on tap to which the lady that served us said - what is that ?? Never heard of that before! Oh dear, our expectations went down rapidly. Mediocre range of ales, not worth the walk! The staff were distracted, not engaging and despite us noticing that they did have some tempting beverages in the fridge, we were not inclined to stay for another!

This lace has loads of promise but fails to deliver. Looks lovely, nice atmosphere and tasty beers is let down by ‘floaty’ staff, over egged food and overpriced beer. I’ve been here a number of times and always going in rooting for the business. Unfortunately I’ve always been let down. From standing at an empty bar for 5 minutes waiting to be served (after gaining eye contact with staff multiple times who have stood there looking into the middle distance, or tapping at apps for no reason), to the poor/bizarre food options when you consider how much they charge (pulled bbq beef sold as a Sunday roast and not even ‘with a twist’, no wings on wing Wednesday, short rib sandwich that is mainly fat). Couple those two with overpriced beer and you are in for a treat (I had a can of craft are from a recent tap takeover that they sold for £10, more fool me as it was £2.50 direct from the brewery, I did not get £7.50 worth of atmosphere or service). A real shame as I wish it was good.

Went at the evening to have a beer and maybe something to eat. Place was empty on Saturday night whereas tall the rest of the pubs in town were packed. The place looked good, the beer range superb. The menu looked interesting and the pint we got was good as was the service. The lights were dim and the ambience nice but then the music destroyed it all. Were not young but come on, playing some gangster rap crap at full volume is not in keeping with what the place purports to be. We felt we ought to be dealing drugs not having a pint. We did not stay. It is a shame as it has great potential. Has we been comfortable we would probably been there for the night and spent a lot of money

Recommended by our daughter, we thought we'd give it a go for lunch in mid-January whilst in Shrewsbury for the day. On entry there was no-one else there. The first beer asked for had run out. The stars began to disappear. We sat at a table where we could watch the world go by. The attendant asked if I'd like to try another two beers. I agreed and chose the palest. It was citrusy and properly cloudy - 4.5% one pint would be enough. My wife had a very acceptable Malbec. Without being asked we were brought a bottle of tap water; another plus. Menus arrived and we chose. Breadcrumbed oyster mushrooms. Breaded fish goujons in tacos and a Halloumi wrap with fries. All food was freshly cooked and really delicious. The musak being played was a selection of Rap music. As we were the only people in the restaurant we asked if it could be changed. The attendant agreed and changed it to a more jazz/rock genre. The stars were back. The bill - 25% off for January; what a bonus!! Beer was £5.40 a pint, Malbec £4 a small glass. The restaurant is very close to the English Bridge. Highly recommended!

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far
