We were shown to our table that was booked for 7pm and were given our menus and orders taken for drinks. Drinks came immediately and then after a short while our food orders were taken. The restaurant was busy but there was no indication that our meal would be delayed. We waited for 45 minutes before I had to get up and ask if our food would be coming soon. I was told that it was on its way. We were then asked if we would like to order more drinks. We did, and then waited another 15 minutes until our food eventually arrived. No apology was given for the delay of our meals but the service for drinks to keep us there was evidently more efficient. My meal was ok but won’t be returning again.

Stunning food. The menu has the classics but also lots of more unusual dishes. We shared biriani, rogan and a king prawn dish and they were all incredible. Staff also very friendly.

We hadn’t booked a table after an outdoor event at the nearby castle late in the evening So we didn’t expect a table tbh , but the staff were so lovely to us and made us feel so welcomed .. such a lovely happy , friendly atmosphere inside the restaurant honestly can say it was the most delicious dish ..lemon and sweet chilli rice ( stunning) and chicken Badami ( even more stunning ) Will definitely return 🤩

Booked takeaway via the app during a 4 day stay in Ludlow. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had Veg Samosa starters, Rajasthani Chicken, Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan. We were gifted chapattis and pickles. Highly recommend.

Should say that I got a right shock when the bill came this place is right expensive. But the thing is that it is worth every penny. The staff are proper and sorted us out with anything we asked for. The curries are better than any I have tasted in Birmingham, Bradford, Leeds or even Newport. Massive crisp poppadoms and luxury selection of dips went down nicely too. Worth going with a big group so you can share dishes as the portions are decent sized.

Delicious food, fabulous service - my son asked for raita and they made him a huge bowl especially. Some of the best restaurant food I've eaten - would definitely recommend.

One of the best curries I’ve had for a while, very tasty, a tad expensive but worth a little extra. Good service, nice surroundings, a modern take on an Indian theme. Would definitely recommend. Make sure toy book as it Ws even busy Ona Wed evening.

Made a booking about 3 weeks before happy we did they had loads of customers in all made bookings we had fantastic service and top grade food and would recommend to anyone looking for top rate experience

We arrived when they opened and they where so helpful. My husband uses a walker so they opened both doors and sat us on the first table and space for the walker. We ordered onion bahji, chicken tikka the a chicken madras, mushroom madras, garlic nans and chips. Everything was full of flavour. The chicken was moist and bahjis crisp. We so enjoyed it we ordered a take away a few nights later. Still very good food even after the delivery. Would definately return

Great selection of dishes at very reasonable prices. Service was excellent. We return to Shapla every time we visit Ludlow and it is consistently good.

Ordered a delivery, app was temperamental so had to use website. Had it delivered to Ludlow Touring Park. Received a call when they were 5 minutes away and we met them at the entrance barrier. Excellent service and really tasty food.

Wow! Flavours spot on (Big shout to chef Luku), service pacy but friendly and atmosphere lively and welcoming. Try the excellent lamb with butter beans, enjoy the crispy, fluffy onion bhajis and make sure you taste the pillowy soft naan bread… The duck was a little overdone but beautifully spiced - a rare low point in a truly great selection!

Poor experience - average food that was expensive. Average food. Restaurant was cold. Disappointed and felt that they manipulated the fact that there was no competition. Drinks forgotten and service was poor.

Excellent well organised restaurant with very helpful cheery staff, happy to explain dishes to you . We timed it right as by the time we left it was very busy and slightly organised chaos as the tables are quite close. Not a criticism by any means as the service was still very good, and to be honest with the food that tasty why not get as many in as possible. We were early and were very well looked after within seconds as the maitre de soon got the guys sorting a table out 👍🏼👍🏼 we didn’t find it that expensive and the portions were decent 🤩

I was in st aubins looking for somewhere to eat I had been highly recommended to go to Noya Shapla with the bright pink led strip, I went and instantly the staff was so friendly everyone is very polite, very professional. Sitting down the cutlery the layout was fine dining the tables and chairs all match the aesthetic and were very comfortable, the environment was very romantic, the music isn’t too loud and the vibe is very inviting, I ordered butter chicken and it was the best I’ve ever had, I will definitely come again 10/10 on all accounts would very much recommend that you par take in this experience

Service was good, however it was fairly on the high end on price for what were pretty small portions. Naan bread was undercooked and somewhat doughy. Tasty enough but didn’t feel like good value.

I ate here on a Monday evening when the restaurant was quiet but doing a lot of take away business. The staff are friendly but the food was disappointing, as the portions are modest and the quality was not great. I had a lamb dish and the chunks of lamb were tough and had a ‘crust’, which gave the impression of being off cuts that came from the end of a piece of meat. The overall meal was underwhelming and if there was still another option, I’d eat elsewhere next time.

Past experience has always been great with the Shapla but last Saturday was a different story! We arranged to have pre Xmas takeaway and drinks at my house as being posties going out in December is a no no! We ordered the takeaways we were happy to see there was a 25% offer. One of us has a severe intolerance to peppers, so severe she has to carry a EpiPen! We ordered the food stating twice ( in capitals) that there be no peppers with the Chicken tikka main. On receiving the food, which took over 1hr 45 mins to get to us it was was stone cold and every meal had peppers in, this is unexceptionable and they really need to be more careful as it could make someone ill if unnoticed, Not so much of a bargain Really? On the plus side it was very easy to order online and the delivery chap was very friendly!

Visited this great restaurant 4 years ago, We hadn't booked because it was a Monday night, but it's advised too, especially if it's a race day, Fortunately they found a table for us because it was very busy. The food was delicious and very well presented. The Onion bhajis were big and tasty, I had the King Prawn Dupiaza with mushroom rice and naan bread, my girlfriend had Samosas to start, and then Chicken Makhani with Pilau rice. The Owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The price is above average you pay for, but worth it for the great food. Thoroughly recommend. 10/ 10.

In Ludlow for a few nights and although we know ‘ English’ places to eat( always had a dog with us) , never had a curry. Looked on trip advisor and all the reviews are right… this place is amazing!! Very Tasty curry and the best pilau rice ever!! We did not book and really busy for a Monday night. Throughly reccommend😜

Visited Bank Holiday evening without booking after being unable to get a table at my long -time Ludlow favourite just down the road. The welcome was warm and friendly and service could not have been better. Had the chicken biryani, which was probably the best I have ever tasted. The presentation of the dish was, to me at any rate, unique and quite different to other Indian restaurants I have visited. Overall, an excellent experience - and when I next visit Ludlow I will now be spoilt for choice.

I only wish it was our new local... Unfortunately for us we are only visiting for the bank holiday. We got there last night without a reservation and whilst it was fully booked, the staff, very kindly, sorted out a table for us. My husband had the white jalfrezi and I had the chicken biryani. Wow! I thought the biryani would be a typical biryani, but no, it was so flavoursome. My husband's jalfrezi was also wonderful. Definitely 💯 recommend! Thank you Shapla, I have a feeling we will be back. 😀
