Excellent food , well cooked, interesting menu, not just the same old stuff. I am very fussy about a good curry and this was top class. . Good service, efficient . Fair price. Love it!!!

We were a group of 10 looking for a last minute meal out, The Ganges accommodated us with ease. They were busy,but made up a table for us. The staff were pleasant, attentive and Abdul went over and beyond to recommend dishes off the menu. All the food was very good and wasn't rushed, giving us talk time. My prawn dish was exceptional and the mixed starters gave everyone a choice of dishes they may well not have tried otherwise. Having tried all the Shifnal Indian Restaurants I conclude The Ganges is my favourite, well done.

Consistently excellent service & super food, we moved to Shifnal in 2019 we have had eaten in all the Indian restaurants in the town Spice of Shifnal is by far the best, Abdul & team are super they are professional & attentive the food is consistently fab it’s our go to restaurant in Shifnal.

Went to Spice of Shifnal with two friends last night for the first time service and food were both excellent will be returning very soon

We visited Spice of Shifnal and were greeted with a very warm welcome from the manager. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The food was excellent. And did not have to wait too long, either . We will be visiting again very soon.

Best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. The food is great, service is outstanding. My wife is vegetarian and they recommended an option for her that wasn’t on the menu which was very nice of them and she loved it to bits. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. Went with friends who have eaten in many Indian restaurants, but this one certainly ranks as the best. So much so we are going again on Sunday evening with family. This restaurant will certainly have me coming back for more. Keep up the good work guys.

Highly recommended for an excellent meal and polite, friendly staff who provide an excellent service. We stay in Shifnal every November as we attend the IPMS model show in Telford and always make sure to book in at Spice of Shifnal for a meal

We have been several times to the Spice of Shifnal and have never been disappointed with both the service and quality of food served to us.The staff are always very welcoming amd friendly. The food the Jewel in the crown for this establishment, which is in my mind some of the best Inian food I have tasted in many years. Make a booking and see for yourself to judge, you.will not be disappointed. We have also booked for Xmas day lunch, which we very much look forward to indeed.

We were a group of 12, we were offered sharing starters which were fantastic. we all then had individual main courses which came in good time mine tasted amazing everyone said the same. We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great evening.

I ordered a take away. Was delivered ahead of estimated time, even on a Saturday night. Food was piping hot and delicious!

Great food and service as usual. As others have said we had to wait ages for the bill and ended up having to go to the bar to ask for it. We were rushing for a train (which they knew) so couldn't argue but thought, having been there several ties recently) that the bill was a bit much. Surprisingly he wouldn't let me take a copy of the bill away to check later. Just added up what we had and I think I was ripped off to the tune of about £15 ! I hope it was a genuine error on there part. Not seen any reports of similar incidents.

My partner and I love this restaurant, great service and delicious food. We go out a couple of times a month and have tried many Indian restaurants (across the country), but the spice of shifnal is a firm favourite and now we’ve found it, it has become ‘our regular’. Between us we have tried many dishes and they have all been fabulous. We would highly recommend this restaurant - thank you spice of shifnal!

Staff and service was nice, I ordered lamb jalfrezy and lamb biryani. Curry was ok but the lamb biryani is the worst biryani i have eaten, you can only taste salt n butter no flavour of biryani spice at all

Best Indian meal I've had for years and great value. Poppadoms and relish, any starter, any main course with rice or naan bread and coffee for £13.95. Special price Sundays and Wednesdays. Atmosphere not great as we were the first ones in, but great food and service. Roll on next Wednesday!

Really not where its at. The food lacked flavour and spice and the naan came only half cooked. The sauces for the poppadoms felt like it has been watered down to liquid. Not really what I would consider proper Indian food and definitely more expensive than it's worth.

The owner / waiter was rude, pushy and suggested we were some type of underclass people because we weren't prepared to pay £25 for a bottle of wine. He insulted us and shouted at us in front of other customers. He behaved in a racist manner to my wife much to the horror of the other couple who were with us. BTW is this the way to treat pensioners out for a quiet meal. And to top it all he tried to overcharge us with the bill. Absolutely disgraceful.

I rang today to place an order as I was asking the price the person on the phone started to be very rude for no resson telling me thst I want items for free because I was asking the price of each item I ordered & he wasn't respectful@all,showing a serious attitude issue..rude people in my view should be reported to the authority & we cannot be intimidated by such bad manners! I had to cancel my order as the person was repeatedly asking me that I can cancel my order which I did gladly & I make sure that this incident doesn't remains private,(people who create any kind of business have the responsibility to carefully put the right people that will represent correctly their business not the opposite..the restaurant reputation start not with your food but with the people that speaks to customers before we get to the business of the food..if anyone disrespect you DO REPORT HIM & DONT GET INTIMIDATED BY THESE UNPROFESSIONAL ROGUES..

Now I can't say the food was bad but it just wasn't right. Hard to explain really other than our group was all disappointed. The colour of the tomato or should I say lack of colour was concerning.

We have just had one of the best Indian meals ever. Everything tasted delicious, large portions, excellent service, and most importantly great value for money. If it wasn't for the fact we live in Lincoln we would be regular visitors. We can't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Worst Curry I have had for a long time. No favour and weak. Must be new owners. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Shocking.

order was set to be on time for 21:10 to 21:30 when it was 8:00 and im right down the road, it’s then late at 21:40 so i ring them up and they say it will be there straight away and ten minutes later they turn up at the door with the completely wrong order and i have to refund it just to catch a train. terrible

Unbelievably great customer service and probably the best rogan josh I've ever tasted. It was my first time here tonight and it was some of the best customer service skills I've seen in any establishment. A minor miscommunication on what I'd ordered was quickly rectified without any fuss. Their food was very good value for money and incredibly tasty. I will definitely be coming back!

Food is ok but waited over an hour for mains after our starter. Asked several times where the food was but kept being told it’s on its way. As I write this it’s been an hour and seven minutes since our starters and still no mains. Communication is poor

What a delicious meal we have just had. The staff were attentive but not in your face. The food was so tasty, lovely to taste a Dansak that had a bit of spice and heat. Naan breads we're divine, especially the peshwari. The only negative comment would be the ladies toilet could do with s good clean and another coat of gloss paint all round.

Just as we were seated a group of women came in who were very loud and we could tell they were intoxicated. They sat down, as a family we decided we would find somewhere else to go. We let the staff know that we were going to find somewhere else to go for dinner, however on hearing this we were seated somewhere else. After this, the women were informed of their behaviour, and subsequently left the restaurant of their own choice. We can safely say that the food here was without fault and we will definitely be returning! We really had a great experience here. As the other curry house in Shifnal was closed, both the restaurant and takeaway service were very busy, but despite this, the staff were very friendly and attentive.

We like our curries, and have them wherever we can. This was genuinely the nicest meal I think we have ever shared. I am not exaggerating when I say I was on the verge of tears over how nice this curry was. Completely authentic, fresh, each dish felt bespoke, great range of options for vegetarians.

Came here for the first time after reading other reviews and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious, chicken Balti, chicken ginger Korai, best I have had! Cannot get Indian food like this in San Diego! Can’t wait to come again!

Had a fab meal out. Very attentive staff beautifully cooked meat dishes Abdul was a superb host. Great 1st curry after lockdown and we travelled from Bournemouth to have our 1st curry and it was certainly worth it. If you are in Shifnal def get a curry here.

Visitors to the area and booked a table couldn't have made a better decision, what a cracking place, polite welcoming staff and a delicious manager special meal best I've had for a while.

An excellent meal served by Abdul. The entire meal was full of flavour. A starter of potato, garlic and mushroom followed by a chef’s special which incorporated a murghi massala. I even took some hone for the other half!
