Took over 100 minutes for the food to arrive and my guests left before they could eat. Would not order again

Probably the best curry in Shrewsbury. I went the other day for the first time this year. I was very pleasantly surprised that the prices were not through the roof like other places, the quality is still the same great quality. Friendly service. Easy to order. Ready when they said it would be. Will definitely go back . 10 out of 10 for taste , quality, service. I love the extras too, poppadoms and the spring rolls . Many thanks to the staff there.

The worst food ever. I ordered lamb karahi and honestly there was no lamb in it. Also I ordered rice which was missing from the order. When I when I went back to ask for rice they were not friendly at all.

The worst food I have ever had. I ordered a takeaway of lamb Karahi, rice and nan bread. The rice was missing from the order and there was genuinely no lamb in the lamb karahi. One very small piece of lamb and the whole food tasted disgusting. How can people run such a business and treat customers with such disloyalty.

Best takeaway curry I've had (and I've tried loads). Massala is lovely. Naan bread could be abit bigger/nicer but apart from that, amazing food!

Went flying over onto the tarmac outside the shop, uneven pothole on your forecourt, you need to maintain it properly. Ripped my trousers and cut both knees.

I've been going here since I moved to Shrewsbury 6 years ago. One of the best Indian takeaways I've ever found. I don't usually do chicken tikka masala as I normally find it quite bland, but their one is so good that I can't get enough of it. Never once had a bad meal from them. My only criticism would be that you can't order online, and it's very hard to find a menu, but they're worth the hassle anyway.

Excellent quality and great value for money. Personal favourites are Sag and Mushroom Balti with side dishes Sag Paneer and Onion Bhaji. The portions are generous too.

Another faultless meals delivered to our caravan site in shrewsbury we've been using these for around 3 years now and last nights (Easter Sunday) was as good as the first I don't know how they do it all the curry fans on our site agree many thanks to alun and the lads 10 out of 10 again 👍

Best curry we've had in a long time.

I placed my order on Saturday at 19.10…. Was told an hour. 20.45 nothing still arrived so went for a shower to get ready for bed. Out of shower at about 21.10. Looked on phone to see the delivery man had been so went down thinking he would have left on step… nothing there!!! So went to bed. (Couldn’t do with eating so late) Called them Sunday when I got in after working all day. To be told that I was so late calling them you hat they had Thrown it on the bin and I should have answered the door. And NO were not refunding you.!!! Yes I’d paid prior to delivery And my very kind neighbour had come out to see the delivery guy But was told NO we won’t leave with you…… So After being told Greenfield spice was a good one to try….. I’ve been robbed by a Indian restaurant….

Extremely disappointed with the food from here, bad pieces of chicken in all 3 curries, anaemic chips, paper thin naan bread and to top it off not a fair offer of a refund just a discount on the next order. There will not be another order I'd rather starve than eat from here.

Very good food, well priced and there was plenty of it. My only criticism was the delivery was 20 minutes late;this was after a wait of an hour, however the guy on the phone was very apologetic. Won’t put me off using them again

The first time I’ve ordered from here. I ordered meals for 4 it would have fed 6-8 people! The food was magnificent, such a large choice of different new tastes. Not the same sauce on everything trying to be passed off as different for each dish. It was such a change and a surprise to have these exceptionally good meals from a takeaway. I cannot recommend it enough. Go and try it, you won’t regret it.

I have been going to Greenfield spice for a few years now since moving to the local area and despite trying numerous others it's hands down the best take away in Shrewsbury. Consistently good food, well priced (especially if you pick up) and they're always friendly in there. 11/10

Lovely food - Beware of pricing!!! Prices heavily inflated and differ from website prices. Excuse made, new menu last Sunday. Beware NHS Discount discussed - No NHS Discount given. Beware Free Delivery with Shrewsbury (3 mile radius) - I live less than a mile and was charged £1.50, even though menu stated free. Excuse made, delivery charge on orders under £25 - not stated anywhere. Wont go back - won't be conned.

After all the hype we thought we’d give this a go and couldn’t be more disappointed. Prices were fair but got what we paid for. The tikka masala genuinely tasted like a jar of curry, chips were only just cooked and popadoms could be torn like paper they were that soggy. So I’m guessing food was hot when placed in bag but it wasn’t on arrival, only just about warm. Not to mention it took just over 2 hours to arrive (granted we were told it would be 1.5 hour max on the phone!) they were polite when we called to ask where it was and said it has just left and will be with us in 15 minutes but still didn’t arrive for over half an hour - presumably in a car for all that time and were only 1.5 miles away! Won’t be returning unfortunately

Food arrived Luke warm, said it was going to be hour n half wait which was fine but was hoping to have hot food on arrival. The chips where stale and cold so hard to eat like they’d be left for a while. Half the tikka sauce had leaked in the bag also. Also they had put complimentary spring rolls in the bag, maybe to say sorry for the wait but these where also cold. Thank you tho, as we didn’t eat any of the chips. Not to happy as it was recommended to us. But won’t be going back.

Fantastic. Freshest food you can imagine, perfect spicing. Want it hotter or colder, just let them know. The flavours are just so good. Little bit of a wait these days because these guys are just so busy but I've never been let down or disappointed.

Ordered takeaway tonight. While waiting for my meal to be completed their delivery driver arrived and leaned over the counter with no face covering whatsoever (and please bear in mind that he could have been to any number of houses in the previous 3 or 4 hours). On the counter were at least 25 small unlidded chutney pots which were being filled by another member of staff who was not wearing a face covering. Is it any wonder given the way these people are behaving that covid is hitting a massive second wave. And just in case you think that I'm somebody who walks away from that sort of situation without saying anything and then reverts to social media I mentioned this to the manager. Having received an unacceptable and almost dismissive response I asked that they abide by the law in the future. However I'm not sure that it will be the case - profit before people? I hope I'm wrong. It's my local takeaway and in the past I've enjoyed their food but I won't be going back. PS - my meal tonight has gone straight into the bin.

Recommended by a friend while in lock down we are celebrating our wedding anniversary, so decided to use these guys , easy to order over the phone , friendly service , good food although maybe label the food on each container to make it a bit easier for us , would recommend to friends and family and will more then likely use again , no disappointments at all everyone enjoyed their meals 5 star rating

Usually good quality food from here, but unfortunately not this time, you could of drunk the lamb tikka straight out of the container it was that watery, chips ,rice and nan bread were cold

Food was 45 minutes late and they swapped our Pilau rice for boiled rice. Will avoid in the future! Shame because I like the food.

It’s not often you can say your local Indian takeaway is the one of choice. After living in Birmingham and Manchester, where the curry game is strong, I feel I’m experienced enough to say this is a very good quality purveyor of Indian takeaway food. The maitre’d is from Birmingham and I believe a good few of the chefs are too, so they have good experience and it shows. I always try the madras at a new place so you can grade their skill level, the madras here is spicy (as it should be) with a great depth of flavour. They offer 3 options for chicken alone, plain chicken, chicken tikka and my personal favourite - tandoori chicken, all of which are great. My go too meal is the greenfield special biriyani. It’s a fantastic dish with chicken tikka, lamb tikka, minced meat and tandoori chicken. It comes with a boiled egg (much better than the omelette most places include) and a vegetable filled curry sauce. The rice and meat comes in a large container then the sauce comes in a normal sized takeaway container. I’m always left with some for the next day once I add some popadoms or a roti or starter. You can change the sauce to make it hotter or just to have a plain curry sauce without veg. They are very accommodating to any requests and never make you feel a pain for asking. I would say I wish there was more of the sauce to go with the half ton of rice. Different chefs do cook the meals slightly differently, so keep this in mind. One thing I’d change is the chutney selection, I don’t think the mango or raita are as good as the rest of their products and could be improved. Defo try a masala/spicy popadom if you visit. I find them addictive.

This is the only takeaway Indian i'll visit because the food is amazing!! it's so reasonably priced and they even give you freebies such as extra curry sauce/spring rolls etc as well as 15% off your order when you collect! I honestly haven't been to another indian (restaurant/takeaway) that does a chicken tikka masala as delicious as here. I recommend this place to everyone.

The food was excellent, it was the first curry I’ve had from a takeaway where i could have been sitting in a restaurant. I had the paneer masala and it was delicious. We were also given free popadoms, salad, mint sauce and spring rolls!

Good food always 1st choice Indian in Shrewsbury

They said 45-1hour. Called at 1hr 15 to politely ask where it was. They said on way. Rang back at 2hours as we live 5 minutes away, they sent to wrong address apparently but was a completely fabricated story. Not an apology. Cancelled the order when they said ‘dya want it or not’, terrible customer service. Not to use again.

The Pathia rocks at this place and it’s consistent. Read all the other reviews before trying here and they all seem well deserved. Shame it’s not a restaurant but the quality is fantastic so let’s keep it as it is.👌

We've been using the Greenfield Spice for two years and in that time haven't had a bad meal. It is without doubt the best takeaway Indian about. I would go as far to say, it's a highlight of living in the Greenfields area. If you're lucky you get some freebies chucked in. Keep up the good work.
