A polished, elegant Afternoon Tea experience. Welcoming and professional team serving quality produce with a few tasty surprises. All presented with style and panache.

Very scrummy, savoury as well as sweet and the best scones ever! Can't recommend it too highly and just the ticket after a long journey, what a way to relax.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the tea was as good as you'd expect from a specialist tea shop. We'd hoped to get back for a second visit but sadly our itinerary doesn't permit.

I have written a full and comprehensive review of the afternoon tea, on the hotel site. But you really must treat yourself and visit here, for a very, very enjoyable tea. Can't recommend enough.

Lovely afternoon having tea in the orangery, overlooking the Shropshire Hills. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Worth every penny.

We stopped off for a pot of tea and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cakes and light snacks which were available. We had scones which were served warm with jam and cream & they are so good you will not want to share. The staff were friendly and courteous.

Had afternoon tea there this afternoon for a borthday treat. In short - very unwelcoming! We were plonked at table, in the restaurant not conservatory (very quiet so no reason for it) no tea menu, had to ask for sugar for the normal tea, tiny amount of milk, sandwiches plonked down almost as soon as we sat down, had to work out what they were and same for the cakes as no explaination. Then the waitress disappeared not to be seen again! We were left on our own for the duration of our visit. When we could not wait any longer for a drink i went on a wander to find someone, instead found a sign on the reception saying - if you need assistance dial 0. So we did. Explained mo one had been in to see if we wanted any additionsl drinks, so the receptionist took our order (that was quicker apparently!) When thd drinks order arrived she disappeared into the abyss again! In the mean time we had closed the conservatory doors as a gale was blowing through into the dining room, a chap appeared later to lay some tables in there and the doors were flung wide open again without any consideration. So we left at that point - cold, like we had eaten in a fast food restuarant. Very disappointing.

I visted here on a saturday afternoon with friends for a full afternoon tea.I have to say it was one of the best afternoon teas i have ever had, choice of sandwichs, fantastic cakes & tea, topped off with a glass of champayne.

I booked a full afternoon tea for myself and a friend as a birthday gift. It was little on the pricey side but lovely. I would recommend the cakes but don't pay the extra for the "full" version as all you get are some very small sandwiches and no salad, coleslaw or crisps to accompany them. House was lovely and in a very quiet location a few minutes drive from town. In good condition, must have been renovated in recent years. Nice garden outside but it was too hot to sit outside that day and none of the tables had an umbrella for shade. The odd thing that we noticed was that the spa was actually just a one room summerhouse/shed at the bottom of the garden, very strange. You had to walk past guests in the garden to get to it. I would have been very disappointed had I booked a treatment.

We went to Ludlow for afternoon tea and the service and food did not disappoint. We ordered half tea and could not finish it. We were both really impressed with the selection and the price. I would definitely go back again.

We called in as we were passing through stunning Treflach and had a lovely Sunday lunch today. The bar staff were absolutely lovely, engaging, efficient, funny and attentive. Becky in particular was a credit to the establishment. The Sunday roast was very good, with good portion sizes and plenty gravy although the yorkshire pudding was a challenge. Me and Mrs R shared a desert (Black Forest Gateaux with cream) which was delicious. Prices were reasonable too. A nice stop on my favourite route out of Oswestry. Recommended.

We went on recommendation for drinks from a local hotel to find they closed at 3pm contrary to their online Google guide.
