Surprise Birthday treat meeting friends. We were slightly late but that didn't phase them even though it was very busy, a lovely welcome. The service was spot on, again, especially as they were busy, we never had to wait too long for anything and there was always someone around if we needed them. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere as well, you could tell people were enjoying themselves.
The food was superb. Set menu was a great choice by my friends, others shared a cold meze starter - all full of flavour. The lamb shank was excellent and my chicken Shish was perfect. Of course, Baklava and coffee to finish.
In fact, everything was perfect and I would highly recommend Cappadocia, it is very central, by Pultney Weir / Parade Gardens, so ideal for visitors and locals alike.
I visited for the last time. My lunch was wonderful as usual , Hubby had the ploughman’s . I couldn’t wait for a piece or should I say slab of strawberry & cream cake.
This wonderful place CLOSED at the end of September. The lease no longer viable , the cafe has decided to move to TRURO . So although I am sad , I know I will be able to visit TRURO for my delicious Cakes.
So if you love this place like I do look out for ‘The Cake House’ in Truro .
Lola’s is a lovely independent tapas restaurant, with amazing food. The team were really helpful and attentive. We tried 6 dishes in total and all were delicious!
Would highly recommend eating here if you’re in the area
Todo fue excelente. El servicio era de primera categoría, la comida era grandes porciones y la corteza de pizza es almohada, tenía un montón de ingredientes y era delicioso.
We stumbled across the old bakery tearoom on a visit to the Cotswolds, well the food was amazing...so fresh & full of flavour and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning
we had amazing food served with friendly, professional service. Despite being fully booked the attention to detail was wonderful. Well done to Ceri and Matt for running Restaurant Four so well!
We were visiting the area for the Easter weekend and based on previous reviews booked the White Horse for Sunday lunch...and we were so glad we did! Food, service and the ambiance of the pub were all excellent. The price was relatively expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Fat Apples Cafe is one of our favourite cafes anywhere - fresh honest food served with a smile and always utterly delicious - there’s something for everyone at sensible prices - it’s such a treat to enjoy food created with love and care - thanks so much Fat Apples Team x
Wow - what a great evening and experience we had last night at Roots in Southbourne, Dorset.
An unusual and delicious tasting menu and fantastic cooking and hospitality from Jan and his team.
Starting with Quails egg and Watermelon salad canapés the early courses included new forest asparagus, truffle sourdough bread dumpling, and a countryside supper of warm rye bread, cured meats and melt in your mouth home smoked salmon. Then onto the fish courses of Japanese mackerel and scallop in a Thai curry broth - fantastic! The main course of Quail was rich and delicious and the chocolate covered blueberry compote and lemongrass and coconut icecream was the perfect end to a truly memorable evening.
I definitely recommend a visit - thank you Jan and team for your wonderful food and hospitality. We will be sure to visit again.
We have eaten here many times, but have just very sadly read, that Taste has closed permanently at the end of April. We wish you all the best with whatever path you take in the future x
I booked for lunch for 4 of us plus a dog for Mother’s Day. My wife was delighted with my choice as were the rest of us. Food was good, wine was sensibly priced and the service was just right, not too much not too little. We will be back.
Popped in for Lunch whilst visiting Dartmouth and glad we found this Bistro
The food was excellent and reasonably priced
I had mixed seafood and it was lovely
very nice place and pretty busy & we offered to shared our table with a couple of strangers and soon good chatting and having a great time, The owner appreciated us sharing the table as brought in a couple more customers who would otherwise have gone elsewhere, nice if others do the same - you never know you may get on and meet some lovely people
will certainly return here the next time we go to Dartmouth
