Tim and Bev, who run the joint, are incredible human beings to be around. The fact that their spot is as popular as it is, is frankly no surprise. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is always gorgeous, and the courtyard - simply divine; a testament to their impeccable taste and their hard work. Yes, you may have to queue occasionally to squeeze in, but it’s worth every moment.

Spent a lovely afternoon celebrating my birthday over a delicious Sunday roast. Food was plentiful and tasty. Special shout out to our server Ashleigh who provided excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to returning again soon.

The best burger I have eaten, all the smash burgers and chicken burger were delicious, seasoned and served with a smile. What a view as well, a visit here can’t be missed!

We enjoyed perusing all the flavours and trying as many as we could while on holiday. Banoffee and Cream Tea came out on top!

We had the best chips and a delicious burger from this little gem of a place. We also had a breakfast bap later in the week, but the egg was snotty and the bap was damp liked it had been steamed in the microwave and it was soaked in brown sauce. Not the best. But we will be back for some more chips. Lovely staff too.

We were lucky enough to get a table for 4 at the HM Fish Supperclub. From the canopies to the dessert, every dish was a delight. Service was warm and friendly and the setting was very cosy and nicely lit. The cod cheeks, herb crusted fillet, the pea fritter, the curried sauce and juicy prawns. I’m not sure which was my favourite, as all so delicious, but I left fully satisfied with the 4 scrumptious courses.

Glens community kitchen was great. Genuinely a proper community based building with people dropping in to catch up with friends and eat together. The food was superb. Priced on portion size with rice and vegetables as standard. We had goat curry which was delicious. Sadly the plantain had all gone when we got there. We were lucky enough to meet Glen who was so welcoming! Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

We were staying at the Premier Inn in Boscombe so I checked on Google maps to see if there was anywhere to eat nearby. When we saw that there was a Caribbean restaurant within walking distance we straight away went and booked a table for the following night. This was probably not necessary - the dining at Uncle Glenns is very casual, but we didn't want to miss out, having been disappointed once before at a Caribbean restaurant in Bristol which was fully booked for the 2 days that we were there. The menu is Jamaican. Ackee and saltfish, goat curry, jerk chicken, oxtail stew etc. The meal is served on a tray but unlike fast food places you get proper crockery and cutlery. I had jerk chicken and my wife had goat curry, both excellent with rice and peas and a small pot of coleslaw. I had a side of very nice fried plantain as well. My wife was pleased that the curry had bones in it (as it should do!). I had two pieces of very tasty chicken and while I was eating the owner came out with an extra piece if I wanted it - of course I wasn't going to turn it down! We washed our meal down with a Red Stripe each - had to ask for a glass, but we're not used to drinking straight out of the can. After we had a rum punch. This was not like the Bajan style rum punch that we're used to, it was spicier, maybe had ginger in it? But it was nice and finished off the meal perfectly. While we were drinking the owner came out with a sample of her ginger cake for us to try - nice, tasty and moist. The owner and staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal.
