Was feeling a bit ropey but Flyn sorted me right out with good crepes and banter. Added bonus of a guided tour of the DIY surfboard shed next door

Just stumbled across Orlando’s crepes while walking the coastal path - great food and great service. Also had a nice coffee from Open who were all friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to friends and family and will visit again next time I’m down.

I live locally and have been here several times with friends. It’s a great location to enjoy some really tasty well thought out savoury crepes, sweet crepes and smoothies. Really great and friendly service. All local produce and interesting recipes along with classics. Would always recommend coming here!

Beautiful, cosy cafe with a strong vegan theme. Great food selection, super affordable prices and delicious cake! I absolutely love the quotes and decor up on the walls. Would highly recommend a visit.

I had high hopes for Mermaid Alley in Penzance, but sadly, the food was a big letdown. I ordered the vegan thali for £25, expecting something flavorful and well-prepared, but it was mostly deep-fried vegetables in bland batter that tasted like absolutely nothing—like eating air. For that price, I expected so much more. On the positive side, the hot chocolate was nice, but that was the only redeeming part of the meal. My daughter said hers was cold. There were no options for children, and the overall pricing felt extortionate. I’ve haven’t felt ripped off in a food establishment for a very very long time, but this experience really stung, especially since I can’t afford to waste money on bad food. They did knock £10 off the bill after I said I wouldn’t eat the meal, but honestly, I think they should have taken off the full price. The staff were polite, but that doesn’t make up for how disappointing the food was. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

Went today first time for ages as happened to be off on a Friday ( it’s now only open 10-3 Fri and sat ) very disappointed and no wonder it’s not busy ! Was going to have a cake/ scone and drink but very limited on selection for 12 noon with a few pieces of walnut topped cake, a couple of flap jacks and a few mince pies ! Instead ordered a soup with bread @£8 expecting a lovely hearty bowl topped with fresh herbs and served with doorstop bread as they have done for many years. Instead after a 20 minute wait the soup arrived with a stingy bit of focaccia and no butter but the quiche looked fab and my dad said was delicious ! Apparently their baker doesn’t deliver any longer so change in bread ! Not clear from the specials/ menu board and no apology given ! Jacket potato on the lady to my right was uninspiring at £10! If you visit I’d suggest the quiche. Perhaps @teamarchiebrowns should see the competition !
