The best restaurants serving Indian food in South West

One of our favourite restaurants in Cheltenham. The street food starters are great. You never know quite what they'll be like, but they're always delicious, different and a surprise. Nice to have some different curries and flavours than the usual British curries. It seems more authentic (not having been to India!)

Absolutely fantastic food . All the food was cooked with care , it really was delicious. I haven’t had food that authentic since visiting India. Staff were very professional and friendly. Would throughly recommend. We will be returning very soon.

Friendly local pub that made us feel welcome. The chef was amazing the food superb and a good night was had by all. (The clotted cream ice cream was to die for)

Second visit to Rockleigh Takeaway and managed to have the Beef Stroganoff this time. Delicious it was too. As was the Thai Fish Curry. Really enjoyed it and generous portion too.

By far one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve visited. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was fast and efficient and the food was excellent. An excellent evening all round.

Just amazing! Went for lunch on Saturday with my partner and my parents and the food was absolutely delicious. We were running late and that wasn’t a problem at all. Really busy and a great atmosphere. Best curry I’ve had and it’s so refreshing to have somewhere in the south west like it. Great service and will absolutely be back again! Great value for money and massive portions. And you’re not rushed at all. Nice and laid back. It’s a yes from us!

Lovely meal, lovely service. The Everest crispy chicken (Nepalese) was one of the best dishes I've ever had from an Indian.

We were 2 indian families, 8 nos in total, with a mix of veg and non-veg preferences. We really enjoyed our dinner experience at Mittee - the food was just 5 star amazing, with a good ambience, and very attentive staff. Plenty of parking in front and nearby which is a big plus. Coming to the meals, our group (aged between 10 to late 40s) went through a number of starters and main course dishes, all of them fantastic and fabulous. Notes below: Starters ======== - If you are a veggie, we strongly recommend Chilli Veg Momos and Veg Manchurian. - The non-veg contingent really enjoyed Chicken Tikka and Chilli Chicken in a semi dry gravy that can only be described as mouth wateringly delicious! Mains ====== - You may not see this on the menu, but ask if you can get a Paneer Alina (named after a family member we heard) - really tasty to a desi palette - Those who tasted Chicken Mirchi had only superlatives to describe it - Naans were fresh and delicious Overall, a new found gem in Bromley. Just been for the Sunday buffet. Food was delicious and good service. Plenty of selections for starters, mains, rice, nann, sides and rice pudding dessert. Freshly cooked and fantastic value at £14.99 per person. I tried the lamb kara which was so tender and tasty. Also has chicken tikka massage and korma, which are always my go to. Always a nice welcome from the owner and his team. 👋

Two words “truly amazing” Stayed just up road and walking past on arrival into Lynton the food aroma was inviting. Second day we called in couldn’t resist. The Service was super friendly like talking to an old friend. You don’t get massive choice but each week a selection of amazing dishes which is a benefit rather than a negative. Most places offer wider options but this can affect quality, Spicy Mare offers a small selection that works well together ultimately improving the quality and experience. You will not be disappointed
