Booked a table for 19.30 Saturday evening using the online booking on their website.
Turned up on time to find a locked door despite the sign outside saying they were open and lights on inside.
Tried to call the restaurant and was sent to voicemail.
Looking at other reviews, it seems this has happened many times previously to other people.
As others have mentioned, we gave up and walked down the hill to Maha Bharat where we had a fantastic meal from an award winning curry house.
While I appreciate prices are going up everywhere, the prices here are a bit high for a beach side hut.
The lunch menu was very limited in early April and although tasty, expensive for small portions eating outside on a picnic table.
If you fancy a table inside, where there is a bigger menu, you need to book well in advance.
Managed to get a table last minute and we were so impressed. One had the beef and the other the lamb Sunday roast. Delicious. The staff were super friendly despite the place being rammed. Well done to the kitchen team to pull this off on such a busy day. Would highly recommend.
Delicious Devonshire cream team, scone slightly warm. So good.
Rest of family had speciality tea, thick strawberry milkshake made with Cornish ice cream and a couple of decaf coffees.
Setting was lovely. Very oldy worldy and the staff were very friendly.
I would recommend
I rarely write negative reviews, but only the beer and the view lead to my 2 stars. Told I'd have to have a plastic drinking vessel if I wanted to sit outside. I'm a pensioner. Am I going to glass someone?? The barman relented after my protest. Not a friendly feel at all. Beer well kept, and reasonable pricing.
This is our go to beach for family get togethers. Plenty of parking, loos, stunning beach and the brilliant venus cafe! Great coffee and milkshakes. A bee line is always made for the delicious pastys and the fish and chips are great quality and very tasty. There is plenty of choice for veggies and vegans as well as meat eaters. Everything is locally sourced and ethically produced., which makes it taste even better 😋. The staff are always so friendly and helpful even when they are run off their feet busy. This is a great place.
Went to Otter restaurant for a Sunday lunch, a bit disappointed as it has a great reputation. I ordered beef, the potatoes needed longer and there wasn’t any green vegetables. Gravy had a acidic flavour
Great service and staff all friendly

We were a party of six for a joint mothers day birthday. Planning on drinking here. My partner parked in their car park while waiting. He was then rudely interrupted by the bar lady. The drunken landlord shortly after came out. Shocking place. Why would I want my mother to drink here with that behaviour? Honestly Avoid. Far better places in kingsbridge. Could be lovely with diffstaff
